Your the only reason that I've kept trying to learn to pinstripe. Everytime I get overwhelmed I watch one of your videos and get inspired to keep on going. Thank you sir.
Thanks for commenting Rich. I'm glad you're sticking to it!
This video was made for me. Yesterday was my first ever time trying to pinstripe and I definitely did not mix my paint right.
Glad you started. Don't quit!
I really appreciate the detail in your explanation. It helps to understand.
Thanks 👍
You're very welcome. I struggled a lot with this video. I'm glad it's helping some people
I am glad you said that it takes a great deal of patience as with anything worthwhile
It is very true. You get out what you put into anything.
You do a really good job of explaining things. I'm just starting to collect the stuff I'll need. I understand that experience and practice is key. I'm enjoying the learning and soon I'll be practicing. Thanks a lot , Colin UK 🇬🇧
I very much appreciate this comment. I was having such a hard time with this video 😂.
Paint reduction is such a d incredibly hard topic to discuss
@@villapinstriping You certainly got the message over to me. The theory is fine but practice makes perfect. I spent 50 year in electronic / electrical engineering with all the theory BUT practice brings good fault diagnosis. Many thanks again.
@@colvinator1611 Very welcome!
I think one thing that can be overlooked atleast in my opinion is the paint consistency on glass vs on bare metal at least I think it's 2 different feelings in my opinion.
Absolutely! Completely forgot to mention that
I'm trying to reach myself pinstriping, and I always get stuck on this part before I get started. So thank you so much for this video!!! It helps me understand the process so much better. 😊 I look forward to more of your videos.
You got this! Just make sure that when you start you promise yourself not to give up. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Also.. feel free to look through my old videos I have a ton all on the topic of Pinstriping
@@villapinstriping thank you so much! Your videos and explanations help a ton! 😁
@@rhaynehowlette5621 You're very welcome
Practice is the answer. 97 degrees here gotta thin about every other stroke to keep it flowin
I reduce between each stroke too.. in the Air conditioning
@@villapinstriping right on, I used to keep it a lot thicker, now thinner feels better.
What did you make the thumbnail with? I’ve been seeing a lot similar all of the sudden. Looks great! Keep em coming.
@@Cruise-InTV I used an app called Canva. Free version. I appreciate it!
Maybe it's your attention span that's to short to help people with doubts and insecurities. Need patience to help them through struggles. They can be taught, anyone can. Perhaps your teaching technique needs to change. It's will power and confidence to learn this not patience. Some people practice in shorter segments not for hours straight. Someone practicing 20 min a day is better than an hour a week.
Perhaps
The word that you were looking for is ‘realize’. You can understand something and never realize it. To realize is to make it real. You take your knowledge and create something real with it.
Thank you!
As a newbie just starting out with one Mack 00 sword and one bottle of Alphanamel so far, I’m trying to commit one hour a day for practice. What should I be focusing on during my practice? A bunch of straight lines, lazy S’s, curves or doing actual designs instead? I know you’re probably going to say “all of the above” but should I be focusing on one of those more than the other for now? Right now my stuff is very much hot garbage. I’m taking a pic every day and after 4 days now, am hoping that it starts to improve in…. Maybe a month or so? Is that realistic?
So I'm gonna post a video here of a timeline discussion that I did. ua-cam.com/video/NyvCWzBQqCQ/v-deo.html
I'd focus on line consistency. Maybe do one day straight lines, one day curves and one day design... So you don't get bored.
Just aim to get the most consistent line possible out of each stroke. Don't settle. And don't quit.
Wow thanks thats great info very helpful
You're very welcome
Thank you for the video ! I watch everyone and they are helpful as a beginner or even if a person has a few years under their belt .
Keep up the great informative videos!
Thank you!

🙂
first let me say thank you for the best tutorials on striping , your amazing . i used to dabble in striping many , many , many , many years ago , and recently decided to try it again . while watching this video you said something that sorta shocked me , you said you don't really use sword brushes that much , back when i was trying to learn that was the only brush they had ( i think ) . my question is , do you feel a scroller is a better brush then a sword for a biginner. thanks
I think swords are better in general. I wish I would have stayed with the sword. Scrollers are specialty brushes. I unfortunately kinda use them as a crutch. So.. short answer. No. I don't think they are better. Not in the long run
I learned on a sword brush! Didnt even know speciality brushes existed-i still prefer the sword brush!
Is acetone good to clean brushes? When I use mineral spirits the paint clumps up.
I'm unsure. I've never used it
I would easily wipe off some of the paint with a paper towel before doing the actual cleaning..
Getting some of that paint off helps a lot
What a great way to show what this looks like... GREAT instruction...
Thanks for commenting Robert! I really appreciate it
@@villapinstriping My pleasure... Just trying to figure it all out and every video of yours I've seen has been fabulous... The closer I get to retirement, the more time I have on my hands... This is something I've always wanted to learn and have a great respect for...
I THINK YOU DID A GREAT JOB
Thanks!!
