Hola everybody, it’s Burt Kramer, the Karisma Guy. Since you are watching this video, you’re probably looking for a review of the El Dorado Royale in Riviera Maya, Mexico. You are in the right place. So, Patricia and I just got back from visiting the gorgeous adult-only El Dorado Royale. We’ve stayed here probably a half dozen times and it really is one of our favorites. This resort is large with around 500 suites, six pools, 15 restaurants, 9 bars and two world class spas. They also have their sister resort, the Casitas adjoining the Royale, but guests also have access to their multi-generation resort, Generations Riviera Maya, which is right along side the Casitas. There you’ll have access to another five restaurants and three bars.
Back at Royal you’ve got my favorite place for lunch and that’s JoJo’s Caribbean Seaside Grill which ois right on the beach in the heart of all the action. Here you can enjoy a selection of fresh seafood, like their seared ahi tuna or the catch of the day. This open-air restaurant has stunning views of the blue waters of the Caribbean.
For dinner, you have lots of choices, but one of my favorites is D’ Italia which offers a contemporary Italian cuisine. One of my favorite dishes here is their delicious beef tenderloin which I always top off with a bottle of their complimentary house wines. The dress here is resort casual - guys, that means a colored shirt and closed toe shoes.
Breakfast offers a number of choices from outdoor settings like La Isla that has a small buffet but then an ala cart menu, to Cocotal which is located near the main lobby. Here you can get away from the heat in their air-conditioned main dining room. You’re gunna find a large buffet with tons of food options, and you can even get a made to order omelet from Alejandro.
Like I said, Patricia and I are usually here a couple times a year and I’ve just scratched the surface of all their dining options. We've spent a lot of time here taking pictures and videos, plus we even took some very cool 360 videos.
