How can one be SO good singing live?? If you close your eyes as they are singing, you can't even tell that it's live, sounds like it was recorded in a studio
I haven't seen anyone else mention this yet. The second verse about meeting near the sea and being together and having a new baby was written about Floor and her husband and new baby. You can see the SMILE on her face when she does that part.
Floor acoustic is simply next level. So much texture and character to her voice, it is truly another instrument. With Troy’s incredible guitar playing, just perfect. Melt-your-brain levels of YES!
Are there levels if you are in a league of your own?
At that point you’re just competing with yourself, which is absolutely okay!

Both albums with Floor have kinda taken a step back from the heavy. Definitely more folk/celtic vibes going on.

Tuomas decided to challenge Floor on the Human:Nature album.
Some of songs require an awful lot of breath capacity and vocal agility.
I used to sing in a choir for years, I dread to see just what these songs look like on sheet music.

That was my first thought after listening to the album the first time through - what a monster of music to look at, learn, and then master. Floor and Tuomas never cease to amaze.

Floor's vocal abilities are infinite. Another stunning performance, ranging from soft to full on power, and all so effortless. Lovely harmonies from Troy, also. And the tone from his guitar is gorgeous.
My mind just told me Floor must be the world's top female vocalist. So so good. My heart just smiled.

For me, the album version is one of my highlights of the album, (which is not an easy thing to say, considering every song on the album is a masterpiece) but I definitely prefer this version.

According to police reports, every window in the area exploded when she sang the last part of the song.
Her solo tour also had some acoustic songs as well and was so lucky that i was able to see it. I would not mind a whole 3 hours show just with this setup. i would crawl through broken glass just to see it. :-)

I can't choose between this version and the album version of How's the Heart. This version has the amazing live vocals and intimate feel, but the album version has the Celtic instrumentation and warm 3-part harmonies. Each version of the song pulls at different emotions/moods and are great for different reasons.
Don't skip out on the album version of How's the Heart. It is definitely worth listening to, just to hear the differences if nothing else.

Yep troy donockley is incredibly talented he can play almost any instrument and has a nice singing voice on the new album he harmonises with marko and floor in almost every chorus he also has the song ,harvest which has him as the lead singer

When I have the rope in my hands, they show up at the door with lighter fluid and matches.
Most people who watches the lyric video first,then listens to this,actually favours this acoustic version. All Floor needs is Troy by her side,and magic happens. And what is important mentioning is that this song is really difficult to sing live. She is constantly changing up her vocals.

I think she lost some power compared to the "Wacken 2013/Wild Card" era, you just have to compare 2013 versions of "Nemo" or "Ever Dream" with more recent versions. She have to use more her head voice to hit the super high notes compared to the Wacken where she just belt with full power (Maybe i'm wrong and it's just a choice for taking care of her voice during long tours). I Think her voice has lowered a little too, i'm not sure if she is still a soprano now, sounds a little deeper. But she still sounds phenomenal though, and remains my second favorite female singer, close behind the goddess Anneke Van Giersbergen.

Well, you're wrong, because the Imaginaerum tour that she joined in the middle of was the first she'd really performed those songs for any extended period. Subsequent tours she's been a little more controlled as she better knows the songs and how much she needs to keep in reserve. And she certainly still goes past D6 easily. But she's only ever had a four octave range anyway.

A voice like hers deserves appreciation. Allied to the person she is, it is no wonder why she's so loved and respected.
PageMonster agreed. And, as always: noone is forcing anyone to listen to Nightwish. Tons of other bands out there, both on all the usual outlets, and being reacted to by complete herds of reactors. So if anyone were to get burnt out, which I can understand up to a point, it isn't exactly hard to 'detox' a bit.
For something other than Nightwish may I suggest Beth Hart & Joe Bonamassa. Album Black Coffee.
