I'm reading Steve Jobs by Walter Issacson.
There's an argument that he was one of the greatest idlers of all time. His focus was on deep contemplation, design and innovation whilst allowing others to do the work.
Neither was he interested in money or gratuitous displays of wealth.
In addition, there is a documentary on UA-cam called SLOMO about a man called John Hitchin who now roller skates all day since his early 50s, after many years practicing medicine in America.
Hey Tom, love to see you here on yt. I saved amazingly some stunning 49.720 (!) bucks a few years ago (bought a cheap car for 280.- instead of 50.000 !!) And I never regretted it since.

@@theslacker Sorry for that huge delay. . . long ago since I´ve visited the idlers over here . . . oh, It´s an AUDI 80 1,8 S (maybe sold in the USA/UK as AUDI 4000?) Go and look for the HI scores of this carriage, it is even cherished in Russia - the hardest market for REAL ROBUST coaches. AND it is fully galvanized !! Thre engine sucks only 7 Liters /100 (KM) in average and the yearly maintenance-costs are very, VERY low. Now, have a nice day mate . . .

He rambles on a bit but the whole point of idling is to enjoy the moment and wait for the good moments, not to swipe moment your brain is not having its shot
