I’m so glad your short appeared on my feed! The ichthyosaur vertebrae and the careful preparation of it is amazing! What a fantastic beach to have access to! Looking forward to more videos! Thank you from Texas, USA 🇺🇸
Other people have commented on this, but really enjoying the drone footage of the Yorkshire coastline and restful music accompanying the filler between fossil discoveries, and watching your dad prepare specimens with the air tool.
Another great episode. I think my favorite find out of this video was the petrified wood piece. That thing was awesome for something just laying on the beach lol.
👋🏻☺️ Hi, guys.Thank you for another stunning and beautiful video. As always, you guys continue to amaze me. I love coming to your side of the world through these videos. Till next time.
I found one of those vertebrae in a village in Oxfordshire when I was a kid. Thought it was a cows. Dad took it to a college and brought it back saying it was a dinosaurs. I didn’t really believe him and threw it away years later. Wish I’d kept it now!
Me and my fiancee saw you down the beach in whitby with a big rock and a stretcher, just wanted to say thanks for having a little chat and i hope it wasnt too hard getting it back up the steps!! We were a little too shy to admit we'd seen the vidoes haha, Great vid as always :)
If I had to get down to the beach like yall did, just put me in a wheelchair, push and wish for the best. That is definitely a tedious chore but the Ichthyosaur is worth it. Yall should have a rock throwing contest. 💪 Thanks guys.
Yay, I finally won the spot the fossil contest with the belenmite! Fyi for you guys: I don't remember which video I asked about how many different types of ammonites there are. Anyways, I investigated. There are 6 mayor families and beneath them at least 56-7 different varieties. The largest ammonites are the Parapuzosia seppenradensis of which have been found fossil specimens of a whopping 1.8 meters!!!!!!
I hope one day the war will end and we can come and meet each other calmly, exchanging experiences and impressions about fossils. Greetings from Russia!
Fascinating. By the way who's filming this time? I'd love to come check that area out some day but not sure how easy it is to get there from Normandy? Don't know if we have any areas like that here either.
Honestly you guys are spoilt up north, you should try fossil ing on the Dorset coast where you have to work hard for every find. Great videos though even if they do make me a bit jealous 😂
Greetings from Melbourne Australia. ChatGPT tells me upon asking. "Where are ammonites best found in Victoria Australia?" that there are loads of similar stuff all along the Victorian coast. I look forward to seeing you when you get down here.
Well, well... About Vertebrates, you find Ichthyosaurus and other marine reptiles, bony fishes... but what about Selachii like Hybodus reticulatus, Palaeospinax priscus (not Palidiplospinax enniskilleni), Acrodus latus/nobilis or Agaleus dorsetensis ? Any associated dentitions, isolated teeth ? Anyway, thanks for your work :)
I have been interested in fossils since 1976 i come from the midlands and i have found the same fossils as you i am from leicestershire the oldest fossil ever found in the world of fern type leaf was from here charnia named after charnwood i am amazed i live on the oldest land known
I was lucky to find two fossils, and by accident. At different times and in different places. And since then this topic has fascinated me. I tried to figure out on my own what it was. One is most likely a piece of coral. But the other... It looks a bit like a spriggina... But this is in my unprofessional opinion. Who could help with the identification?
Shouldn't that spinal fossil have been turned over for archeological investigation?? I am not from your country, so I don't know your laws!! Wonderful video, though!!🙏💖🪶💞✨️💜
The fossil prep is visual asmr, its good
I like that you showed the walk, very scenic
Thanks so much! 🦕🦖
Excellent video. Perfect blend of what you guys do and the environment that brings you to those beautiful specimens.
Thank you for this fun day ❣️
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
If just settled down with a nice cup of tea to watch.

I love watching your dad prepare fossils. Does he do it professionally as well?

What an awesome video, guys. I really enjoyed the bits of your dad restoring the vertebra and scales in the workshop as well.
Love your videos❤
Thank you so much!

I always wondered how much of a trek it was to get to where you’ve looked for fossils. I had no idea it was like that.
It certainly varies! It can be quite the challenge!
Great video!
Thanks so much! 🦕🦖
AWESOME !!
Nice one!
Great video as always.ways! Would love to see more preparation videos and could easily have spent more time looking at your dad prepping the paddle.
It would be great to compare fossils with even artists impressions of what these animals looked like! It’s fascinating! ❤
Thank you for sharing your amazing finds Geraldine and Pat Queenstown New Zealand 🎉
What a beautiful walk! Thanks for sharing the spoils. Happy New Year!
So cool
Thanks so much! 🦕🦖

That sounds like an incredible find! We’ve not really found any dinosaur bone before!
Blessings gents, from this old man in Appellation Tennessee, USA. Great content, great music and stunning videography. Thanks for sharing.

Was hard work but mission accomplished 😃👍
wow and google map is amazing good job sir
Watching Dad clean up the fossil reminds me of Dad’s job of cleaning the kid’s football boots! The kids dirty them, Dad cleans them!!!
Does the air not affect the fossil itself? is that a setting? or is the fossil just that sturdy?
If there’s a fracture within the fossil then sometimes the air will blow the loose piece away.
@@marksmith2885 I have the compressor I just need to get the airgun attachment

Yall should have a rock throwing contest. 💪
Thanks guys.
Haha thank you, more to come soon!! 🔨

It will keep you fit walking home with all of those fossils 😊

HOW do the nodules form? Why are they often so perfectly spherical?
The pyritised gastropod would make an interesting necklace pendant too.
Es un especimen hermoso 🎉🎉🎉
Really special isn’t it 🙏🏻
First maybe
We hope you enjoy!!
I hope one day the war will end and we can come and meet each other calmly, exchanging experiences and impressions about fossils. Greetings from Russia!
I love where squidy challenge ❤
Glad you enjoy them, thank you 🙏🏻
Hi

Очень интересно ! Это заработок или хобби для вас ?
Thanks so much! 🦕🦖 It’s a bit of both!
Do you collect the fossilized wood as well?
We sometimes do 🌳
Oh my gosh, what areas do you find these? My grandson is 6 and is fascinated with fossils. I would love to find him one!!
No music no song very very nice
With which device do you treat the fossils, and at what pressure (in bar) do you clean them?
Could you do a video on the tools you use in your fossil prep?
Greetings from Melbourne Australia. ChatGPT tells me upon asking. "Where are ammonites best found in Victoria Australia?" that there are loads of similar stuff all along the Victorian coast. I look forward to seeing you when you get down here.
i think got the same safety googles buddy and all i can say is never again XD im gonna get some that dont fog up and spit sweat into your eyes XD

Thanks so much! 🦕🦖 Happy New Year to you too! 🥳
what's up with the overexposure? maybe change the exposure a little to make better quality video. thank you anyway :)
Thank you, will do!
Glad you still enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
I agree, overexposure on the beach may cause offence to the other beach goers.
