The best being represented by Caucasian, black, Asian, disabled, male, female Americans and everything inbetween. This is what makes the world look up to you. I've been around for a long time and have seen a lot of Olympics . At one time black athletes were called Americans. Other countries do not mentioned this type of thing at all . Black athletes from France are representing France they do not say African French or Black French .Germany, Great Britain etc do not call out BLACK ATHLETES nothing but the country they represent. America has many races that have made it to the Olympics. They are called Americans. We have many ideas and ideals and religions and we don’t even have an official language or Religion. We’re a melting pot of idiots, prisoners, those that had to flee, and those that were sold or taken from their home. We’re one bundled up country with the idea that we should all be allowed to express our ideas and thoughts and views without following one country’s (Europe originally) strict expectations. The ones that came here willingly were nothing to be proud about when you look back on our and their history. People were sent here as punishment for goodness sake. But with all that said, I’d like to be called American like all the other participants that aren’t immediately perceived as “black”. I’m more indigenous than anything. What most would simply call Native American as if it was called that before the settlers finally figured their way around. I don’t look it. But I for damn sure hate being called African American, if it wasn’t for military sanctions i and my family would be considered German. At that point, sure I wouldn’t mind being called German American. Definitely sucks. I’ve still got my great grandmother’s birth certificate which clearly considered her a negro/black. So people look at ‘African American’ as if it’s supposed to be better and more correct. It still disgusts me, still implies ownership where there is none, my ties to Africa are a lot shorter compared to my ties to other nationalities.
This makes me a proud American. This shows others that Amerricans don't sit around and take life for granted, we don't get things handed out to us like everybody thinks: privileged Americans. You fight your best to be the best.
Really respect American people. You guys always bring the best out of you in every aspects, even if it's just a simple things. I learn a lot from u guys.

As someone who was an athlete for 16 years, and only retired because I went away to college, this video and this song definitely gave me some motivation to get back into my sport.
