Love this trade for the Hawks. Get a couple big bodies to protect Bedard and a second for the the Cap space!! All day.

Van doesn’t need 7.5 mil cap hit for a 3rd line center. I’m sure Lindholm is gone… I’d be mostly okay with Guentzel, but I think they should give Toffoli a shot as well as re-up Myers for cheap and snatch up Dillon as well. I’d be okay with Bertuzzi over Guentzel if it came down to it.. Perhaps Montour would look good if he wasn’t more than 7 mil per year. Either way, I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
Jake ain’t getting 11 mill and Linholm I don’t see resigning. I can see big Z resigning now if he goes bellow 5 mill.

True I was thinking 8.5, but maybe that’s being optimistic. He will probably get 9 minimum, though. 10 mil per is much too high imo.
