    Seriously what kind of neigbourhood is that? are they really cool with that? I cant even fly a stock inductrix in my own garden without people giving me the bad looks like "oh no he is going to spy on me and my kids"

      that's texas for you man...im in HTX and all my neighbors think my 5" is awesome. they come out and talk to me every time I fly it. shit when I go to my local parks I have old ladies walking their dog coming up to me asking questions and telling me how cool it is. no one around here (for the most part) have anything against racing drones...now the peeper (DJI) types are a different story.

      Kendall Welch im in Canada. A few neighbours love it! and ive been yelled at at several parks, baseball fields ext. people have no idea. Unfortunate the stigma drones have. Hopefully as a group we can change peoples perspectives of drones!

    I am 3 months into this hobby and this is how I learn and at the same time be involved in the community. Kabab, it looks like you are a great pilot. Video is not my thing as of yet, so it's cool to see the good and even the bad. Doing video, I am sure is a hobby in itself. Learning to fly as hard and proficient as possible, and be filled with the joy of flight. For anyone new out there,just like Bob stated, ALWAYS HAVE A SPOTTER TO WATCH THE QUAD WITH YOU! You don't want to loose what you just built up to do excatly what you are telling it to do. And to everyone out there that puts out videos for people to know more about the hobby, keep doing exactly what you have been doing. We are all learning how to push towards excellence.

    Dang Man! That was some next level speed! What's your setup, primarily what props are you using. I use HQ 5x4x3 and my motors are Emax 2205S red bottoms but I don't get anywhere as much speed (No where close I believe). What's your cruising throttle value, it seems much higher than Mid throttle. Yesterday I attempted my first ever building dive, it was some rush!

    • @Kabab
      @Kabab  7 років тому +1

      Mr. Barrie FPV same props, 2207 2522kv motors. the emax motors are 2300kv I believe. a bit pokey for me but they still move well. cruising is right around mid throttle. when im going really fast and low I'm only around mid throttle. you can hear it. I like flying with a lot of power overhead for safety.

    Man once again that is some excellent flying! I'm still in the process of building the floss frame...I have the emax 2750kv motors, but I am strongly considering using some of those piroflip motors. If I wanted good low end torque, and top end speed, but not so much concerned with efficiency, which motors would you recommend?

    • @Kabab
      @Kabab  7 років тому

      Jason Baldridge that emax motor you have is good. put the DAL 5x4x3 V2 on it. the crystal ones. partially translucent

    • @jasonbaldridge4281
      @jasonbaldridge4281 7 років тому

      I got a few packs of those AVAN props, and I am using those on my impulserc helix build at the moment, but I bought them for this new build and the emax motors....From your experience, are recommending the DAL props over the AVAN props? Also, if your 2206 motors are going to be the ferrari motor on this build, then that is the way to go for sure. I have been hearing some guys say that these emax motors haven't really been the best alternative, plus I see you do rock the hyperlite motors over these...What is your consensus?

  • @cosmicthrifter

    WoW!! That was one of my favorite videos from your channel. Which I watch on the regular BTW. The same can be said for @UAVfutures as well. I value both opinions, and after flying for about a year I know what the difference is between a Unify Pro & a Wolfwhoop T86p. They look the same is about it, but I'm gonna pay that extra $30-$40 for the reliability of TBS. (which is in Asia) On the other hand I still use a JJRC JJPRO battery strap from my first quad (JJPRO175) and I've had two straps from "top shelf" companies break. It's the same way in the grocery store ya know. Some knock-offs are pretty decent and some are horrible. I also have to say that both you and Stu are way too modest. So is J.C. @project blue falcon. He felt bad for taking money that his viewers GLADLY donated via his Pateron page. (that he later took down) Keep it! You guys deserve it! If it wasn't for guys like you digging deep into the physics behind it all, or J.C. helping us change a mosfet on our ESC, or Stu who lets us know what every quad has on the inside or Josh Bardwell who helps us tune our quads, or BorisB & Preston writing code for flight controllers, WE WOULD ALL BE IN THE DARK AGES!. I am grateful for all of you guys who care enough to take the time to cut through the garbage, so we don't have to. Hell, I've been saving for a while to do a Race Flight build on a Space1 frame I've been holding onto for 3 months now, and I don't even have a pair of goggles that work!! I'm using a 4x6 screen. Hell, I'd love to donate my time to check out products and such or donate to peoples pateron, but I don't even have a working quad at the moment. Well, besides a Dromida Vista. Anyway, I apologize for ranting, but I'm passionate about this hobby and I spend a lot of time researching and soaking up all the information surrounding it. I hate to see people bitch about something that's so much fun. Oh, I almost forgot! I don't know how I could make a list of contributors I love without mentioning Chad Kapper and the guys at Rotor Riot & Flite Test and VEK (Lance Woolf) & all the guys over at FPV LIFE. Those shows give the hobby faces to go with the names we see and read about. See how it all fits together people? Look at how much we have grown in the last year alone. I love this sh!t.!! It has helped me in a rough time. Where normally I'd be out hustling to feed an addiction, instead I'm at home doing repairs & tuning listening to VEK & Random go back and fourth about rubber chickens. Again, I apologize for the long comment. Thanks EVERYBODY!!!
    Much Love

      probably around 40 or 45deg. This particular quad was not a quick one. It was just the proximity of things that makes it look so fast. These days I'm not quite as reckless and I also have nowhere to fly like this sadly :-(. I'm also a much better pilot now so it would be fun to see how I would fly differently if I could go back to these places. For one thing I'd be going through those trees in front of the office building MUCH faster now. I have much more confidence in what I can actually see. I was terrified at that time back then. I see Stu's comment below and while I'm sure he was trying to help as he said, IMO you should never post *only* your best and most awesome videos. People do appreciate seeing stick-cam, crashes, recoveries and freakouts. Fast or slow. It shows the new(er) pilot (and even those of us that have been flying for 5 years and that are still crap) that great pilots DO start simple and it is a long time learning skills, and that you can make mistakes and it's not the end of the line. Talk about why you crashed, what you're doing with the sticks, all that stuff. Well thought out discussions will win me over versus a video of pure flight backed by generic free-license dub-step any day.

      Bryan Herrington the durability is higher than the old style. the base is much thicker where it used to break in the past. there is no need for the railing and it makes the motors drastically easier to get dirt and rocks out of as well as way easier to monitor hitting the windings with mounting screws.

    6 am. lol. I am sure the neighbors are looking forward to you coming back. Could really use a Floss Hyperlight bro. Saw Andy's vid and he was so excited he almost shook right off the planet.

    I can't think of a video u've put out where ur flying n I'm not like "WTF!! I can do that with a quad" - seriously I think u'd eat Stews lunch in every FPV category. Stews a great guy n has a fun great channel but ur flights seriously blow my mind. definitely in my top 5 pilots to watch!! First person I saw do the round the clock move on a tree. not order but the clock. I didn't know that was possible - physics wise.

    Really awesome flying here man, god knows how you can do this with a 1.8mm lens, I struggle to fly through goalposts with a 2.1mm because the FOV is far too wide for me.
    I'm still a noob though so that's probably a huge part of the reason why I struggle too! 😃😃

      DavyBoy I think I go faster with the 2.5 but I can't fly slow well with it. really annoying. I need to look for a 2.1 for the Monster.

    • @Dav2112
      @Dav2112 7 років тому

      Kabab FPV I've got a 2.5mm in my V3 Arrow sitting here for my next build, I've been flying 2.8mm lenses in crappy quads up until getting my Swift 2 with the 2.1mm and I've found I can go through gaps easier with the 2.8mm but that it's a bit on the narrow side, I'm hoping 2.5mm is the sweet spot for me.
      Thanks for replying man, really enjoy your videos.
