Yamaha have announced they will run the R9 in the supersport series in 2025…. Therefore it has to be available for the public to purchase so I think we will see it in 2025 🤞
Yamaha are just making excuses they can't make an R1 because of the emmisions regs in europe, if Ducati can make the V4 pass and make the power they do, I'm sure Yamaha can. They just aren't bothered now and are slowly withdrawing from the market, just like Suzuki and Honda; who've completely lost the plot.
Yall need to understand that Ducati is a sole Motorcycle brand so they can invest money in the product but these Japanese companies are diverse. Take Yamaha for example, they have their musica industry, Kawasaki have their Heavy machinary industry etc. So investing tens and thousands into these kinds of project is a big decision for these companies. Especially when superbike market is so low.
@@RobertJones-pm3zk nothing wrong just not passing fked up european emissions so both are discontinued in europe from what i know- maybe cbr is still here but GSXR pulled out a year or two ago.
Because the EPA, CARB, and Euro regs are still extracting taxes from all the working people, and doing absolutely nothing about the biggest sources of pollution on the planet.
Because racetracks are these special places on earth where combustion emissions interact with the air in ways that is completely different than the air space above roadways.
Yea i forget you guys got the R1 shaft. We still get it here in the states. Ive never rode one. Im all Triumph, Duc, Aprilia, and Honda. I did have a R3 once and that was the best bike in its class at the time. Fun but limited to 106mph c'mon
I could care less for Europe it sucks 🤷🏻♂️ I’m glad we still get the r1 USA thank god! But I want a R6 I wish they would bring that bike back everyone is overpriced them and it sucks. Because I want one bad. But I’ll get an r1 hopefully they will come back out with an r6 🤞🏼🤞🏼😢
They did say the R1 is discontinued back then, maybe some even explained that it couldn't catch up with the Euro emission regulations. So when a new one showed up, what did they do? Just not sell it in Europe😂
Did they throw the abs unit in the bin ? They obviously didn't think potential sales in Europe would make it worthwhile to rehomologate any engine changes for Euro whatever it is !
95% of all the people in Europe don't go race circuits so will be big lost for company to bay for weekend ride all around and alot of money's lost for company 😢
For me this just shows how out of touch the Japanese are now, if providing a race ready/track ready bike they should have supplied it with a decat/basic exhaust system calibrated to not have the cat, and remove the ABS. arguably most fast track riders would ditch oem suspension also and put cartridges in. Finally the fairing is the same plastics but literally with wings bolted too it which looks naff. They could have done a fibreglass fairing with wings integrated and it would have probably been cheaper to make and more appropriate for trackdays. Oh….. and they coloured the fork legs for performance…. Japan, completely out of touch and really sad to see.
Rea needs to tell Yamaha I don’t need wings I need more power hopefully I read that there is a V4 motor in development they know that the cross plane motor has reached the end of it’s development just look at them in Moto GP they are in need more power please more power not 🪽
In the USA you can buy the new 2025 R1
No EU emissions laws in the US…
Somehow seeing these upgrades telling me I aint gonna see R9 for another year.
Facts speak of a dead horse

what reason do you have to think so
It’s being launched next week
Did not age well

Or they’re just tired of the ridiculous requirements Europe are placing on motorcycle manufacturers. Bring it to the US and other rational countries.
What’s wrong with GSXR1000 and Honda Fireblade? I think they are two great machines, how much more power could one need for the road or track?
I think a lack of wins in MotoGP is affecting all the Japanese manufacturers and their willingness to make and sell litre bikes.

The 2025 Raven black or blue R1 will be my next bike! I'm happy with the upgrades. Idaho USA
What I don’t understand is them calling it the “R1 Race” yet it comes with catalytic converters and an open belly pan?
Why is Europe so harsh on bike emissions when they’re still far better than cars?
R1 is still the best looking sport bike imo
Not fan of Yamaha but R1 is just legendary nameplate ❤❤❤
Great video
Track bike with cat?
Akrapovic sold separately 🤑
Why the catalytic converter is still there?
Prolly because it’s still sold for the street in other places and saves on cost to make it all the same
Because the EPA, CARB, and Euro regs are still extracting taxes from all the working people, and doing absolutely nothing about the biggest sources of pollution on the planet.
In USA its still sold for the street

I ❤ R1
a quick question about Busa.. Are they really planning to bring one VVT version?
continue, bike company
we buy lots in the U.S.!
Everybody’s gone Kung fu fighting & Ad-ven-ture riding
Great video pal. I do the same in my neck of the woods. Have a looks tell me what you think. I've subscribed to your channel 👍
Tell us about the MT-10?
Will it be available as road legal to the rest of the world outside Europe? Or just only in usa?
2025 Road legal R1 is still available in North American market
R1 👑👑👑

If Yamaha is going to a V4 in their 2025 Moto GP bike the street version will follow making these the bike no one wants.
motogp bike is not for road use
@@ohkey2999yes but street sport bikes are derived from motogp
@@forrest3198no they’re not
I don't understand why Yamaha would give a not-road-legal, track-specific motorcycle a catalytic converter and a heavy exhaust can.
Anyone else want an R6 Race?
Meeting those strict emissions rules cost money so they probably got tired of it and Europe got bikes that we don’t get in North America
Yamaha going for a V4 reboot of their R1 by shutting down the I4 version? They shall return!😅
So what about the weight? Numbers?
Drop the R9 already Yamaha
Had a 2019 R1, great bike but has the worst ergos of any bike I have ever owned😎
I'm glad it exists, but I could do without the wings.
Did they throw the abs unit in the bin ? They obviously didn't think potential sales in Europe would make it worthwhile to rehomologate any engine changes for Euro whatever it is !
If the "new" R1 is track-ready, (i.e. not for road use) why does it still appear to be running with an underslung bread-box cat?
If they are going to make it track only why don't they get rid of the catalytic converter?
Good thing I don't live in Europe, or my criticism of the Euro emissions regulation body might land me in prison with big fines.
route 66
Joke... everything about the discontinued r1 that now come and gone and now come back but no further information about the R9
Ho sir
Could you please update me on R9
I can't afford R1 in India
Thanks
No updates yet but we'll post as soon as we know anything :)
@@motobob thank you 🙏
New winglets 😐

Ymaha --- o-o-o , Bad brakes !
r1 is legendary, but it gets worse and worse
I'll be running for my ssc gd physical test tomorrow
... I'm nervous
We may have chance to see this new r1 on road in Taiwan, probably in halved horse power and miserable exhaust sound.
Sooooo- it’s the same basic layout and design but has wings now. 😂
Cmon Yamaha…. Seeiously
Mmmm, I’ll have a GYTR with a knock off £10.00 indicator, brake and headlamp conversion from TEMU thanks Bob…🫡❗️
First view
Why do they waste the money and fit an ugly catalytic converter to a track only bike?

US still gets a road bike ha ha
They literally added the wings and brakes people been adding for years....lazy and explains why they dont sell any of them
The most innocent mused which happened in 2024 was of R1 and I think it’s the worst decision of the automobile industry
This sucks for the EU.
羽はいらない😂✌️🏍️💨💨💨
who cares nobody can afford this thing anyway !
Who cares? Superbikes are pointless on the road.
YAMAHA ,HONDA are OBSOLETE and EXPESNIVE to compete with the European market now days.
HONDA , YAMAHA also use cheap material on their bikes as well.
Track bike,,,pointless.
