Birkenstocks are difficult to break in. You want to keep them forever after breaking them in. Replacing the footbed if the foot has already developed a form would be inappropriate . If a customer requests replacement footbeds, I will advise them to buy a new pair of Birkenstocks since they will require the same amount of time to break them in.
