One of my favorite UA-camrs of all time. Been watching since the Dean and Splawn days. Would love to see what riffs you are working on, what your favorite tube amps are that you own, how the dachshunds doing lol. Hope all is well brother.
Sounds like great things are happening for you, thanks for letting us be part of your journey 😊 Your gear demos are fantastic + I’d love to try and improve my playing by learning some new stuff.
Wish you uploaded more man so glad I found ur account it’s so great to know you have a family and still play guitar!
Congrats on the new-old space! We’ve got a similar project coming up in the not-too-distant future, so it’s encouraging to see it having gone so well for you.
I really enjoyed the gig vlogs from last year (I think it was last year). It’s cool to see how other people do it at the sub-stadium level… tips & tricks and whatnot. The setup videos are great too, and I’m sure the lesson content would be very useful.
Congrats on the move to your childhood home 👍 Sucks getting old 😂 I had back surgery about 10 years ago. That's cool you're getting to play out so much. Can't wait to hear new music from you. God bless and rock on 🎸😎👍
I have a Lekato :) I use it on my SG to stop neck dive. Hope you heal quickly and well. Take good care of the rest of you so you don't tear your knee or something. Best Regards and Best Wishes!
Try hanging from a bar for your back. Decompression works great. I also stretch my hamstrings twice daily. I’ve lived with 3 degenerated discs in my back for 30+ years, and decompression and stretching has helped me avoid surgery all that time.
I used to have an inversion table but it got basically destroyed when we had a basement flood at the last house. I will get another one though, it definitely helps!
It all started moving that CRT upstairs. lol
That was actually not as bad as I thought it would be. Moving the entertainment center it is sitting on, however, was a bitch.
Found you while looking for guitar tech help, but I am always interested in how players started and how they developed their skills from early years to now. Adding lesson content for beginner to intermediate players would be welcome.😁

More videos with dad, show us if he’s purchased new guitars. Show us more of the 10s guitar you got him did he like it?
We bought my wife’s childhood home from her parents last summer. They were downsizing and offered us a deal we couldn’t turn down.
It's pretty cool!
I’d like to see some more lessons but also it’d be cool to see updates of your studio as you go. Also when the studio is finished will you offer recording services to the public?
I will definitely post updates, at the very least on my instagram. I plan on offering my services to the public, but it will probably take me a couple months to really get the studio space dialed in first. Once I feel like I'm getting the best results I'll start advertising, you'll be first on the list :P
I'm ready to RIOT!!! :)
Huh. Lucas’s “messy” closet looks roughly equivalent to my “studio” space…
It has good and bad days!
How long do you think it will take to get the studio done?
I really have been digging Robert Baker's shorter videos like his most recent one about EVH pattern tricks. Stuff like that or gear tips for gigging musicians...especially newer or younger ones....like how to not piss-off the sound guy.....
One thing I see come up often on That Pedal Show is things like EQing your live rig to make it sound right and stand out int he mix.
Best of luck, can't wait to see everything come together.
That is a question I don't yet have an answer for. I have just gotten back in contact with my contractors, so it partially depends on when they can start. It won't take nearly as long as the house though, since the project is much smaller scale.
What happened to your Splawn amplifier?
I sold it a long time ago to pay for wedding related things.
I had your wife as my teacher this semester tell her to plz give less work😭😭😭 also awesome guitars man
I think that, with the proper disclaimer, the renovation video makes for good content despite the fact that it's more of a music channel. It could be later linked to the renovation of the studio space. Except you suspect that off-topic content is going to enrage the Algorithm Gods and somehow be bad for the channel.
UA-cam algorithm doesn't care what you post just that you constantly post. Taking ten minutes off from "content creation" or whatever bs they call it now is the worst thing a channel owner can do on this platform which is why a lot of UA-cam channel owners step away entirely after real life becomes busy. At least Lucas isn't just uploading whatever just to keep a few lines of code happy
Lucas, You have me chasing tone now. This clip, starting at 17:05.

is one of the most interesting and beautiful sounds I have heard.
Could you work on this? It is amazing.
I bought that type of guitar, but I cannot play it the way you are sitting.
I bought a different Korina guitar, but the fretboard is off.
Chasing tone.
That tone is essentially the Legend Rock N' Roll 50 with an Ibanez TS808 overdriving amp, and some "tape" style delay in the fx loop. Thanks!
