It could have been Rachel who edited that in because this video was edited also by her, not just Lixian. In fact, most of Mark's recent videos are edited by Rachel + Lixian, or Marcus + Lixian, at times even all 3 of them.

Guys i tried to record the screen of that part to show to a friend, and guess what happened. The mannequin doesn't appear in the video. Then i re-watched that, and record that part again, and then the mannequin shows. The video isn't glitched so... What happened? 😅

That game didn’t have even a single good jumpscare. Barley any lore, and overall, a missed opportunity with the amount of suspense it built.

The coolest thing, to me, is how whenever Mark looked at a light, the screen illuminated his face. It was as if he was IN the game.

I thought he was suddenly playing the Ayuwoki game again
No need for a plot but giving it some horror would really amp up his anxiety. Like making them move when he isn't looking, or making them disappear every time he turns around. No jump scares, just convincing him that no matter where he looks a mannequin is up to something.
There was one a while back called Late Night Shop. I don't have VR but I remember watching some gameplay of it. It looked scary, they would come to you when you looked away from them

The fact that Mark has his lights turned off, everytime he walks into a room in the game, it looks like he's actually in the game. When he enters a well light area, his face brightens up, and when he enters a dark area like the bathroom, everything goes dark like he's actually inside 🤣🤣🤣
This is actually called light and it happens because screens actually emitt light
@@ZVLIAN It's unique because a lot of people keep their face artificially lit in videos like this. In this case, he's using the light from the screen alone, which is dynamic compared to a static backlight. While it can make it more difficult to see him in dark areas, it adds to the immersion.
Its amazing how far the influence of PT is still going years later.

Gotta say, I kinda agree with him about shower curtains. We have a sliding glass door on the bathtub, so much easier to work with and looks a little but nicer.
You know you can wash yourself with a simple bucket of water and a washglove right ?

Really reminds me of my highschool days. Was during a typhoon in the Philippines (a really big typhoon). We lost power for almost 5 days. Around day 2 most of us didn't have batteries for our cellphones (this was a time a little before power banks, and not everyone had cellphones not smartphones but actually cellphones with actually buttons) anyways my sister was in college for fashion design. My uncle and I had the nice idea of taking her mannequin and putting it in a corner and dressing it up. And every few hours when no one was looking move it to another corner, we had about 8people living in the house including me. The amount of screams that day was soooo good

Even before the first loop I could tell that this game took some inspiration from P.T. The style of the house matches in both architectural design and layout with the really narrow hallways and high ceilings, the little nooks that hold end tables with little decor, hard wood floors, chandelier, indoor balcony that looks over the 1st floor. Even the way the paintings are hung at the same level of player height. Then when there’s a mannequin at the end of the hall with the light of the lamp, and when the player gets closer, light turns off, mannequins gone, it’s very similar to one of the Lisa encounters in P.T.
The fact that Lixian added "Hee hee" to the moon walking mannequin makes it 10× funnier
and Llixan is now a daddy himself.

Apparently he's in a scary room, it was like a minute or two before the screen flashed and I helped because there was suddenly a large spider figure on the wall behind him. (I the looked closer and remembered it was the bike hanging on the wall we just saw with the lights on 🤦)
Mark has a very calming voice when he plays horror games, probably to calm himself.

I'm not even slightly exaggerating when I say that I can merely hope for my last words on this green earth to be even half as magnificent as these.
The first part of this game is spent watching mark being more spooked by being in a normal house with the implication of mannequins showing up eventually than he is with most horror games.
I can't wait for Ethan, Amy, or anyone else, to put a manaquin into Mark's house at night, without him knowing, and just see how he reacts

After watching Mark for all these years deal with mannequins in horror games I get it, I'm not scared of mannequins or dolls in the real world but when I see them in a video game I am immediately uncomfortable because I know what could happen...
