To reiterate Mark's Fire Department, Police Station, Hospital advice: if you *ever* feel like you are in danger because of an individual following you, and you don't think you can get to one of those places: Grocery stores, Malls, libraries, even fast food places or, if desperate, a School. Places there are guaranteed to be at least a few people around, people who can help or call the police/an ambulance if you need help. Do NOT go to an isolated location, a blind alley, a forest, an empty street, anywhere you'll be totally alone is a no-no if you feel like you're being followed, you want people around you, because a flash mob of strangers can stop a kidnapper or abuser as well as the closest group of freinds.
Going off the grocery thing, i work in a grocery store. You give us a reason to throw hands with someone and half of us will barely wait for you to finish explaining the situation. Some customer stared at one of my coworkers through the stall door while she was just trying to use the restroom and three of us were ready to confront the lady once we found out.
this is good because i live closer to a school than anything else so it would be easiest to get to without a car the closest fire station and hospital are both a 30 minute walk and the closest police station is a 1 hour walk whilst the closest school is about a 10-15 minute walk so a school or a neighbour would be better in some situations
Agreed - besides just being a good idea to know where emergency services are located near you, it's always a good idea to have options on deck for scary situations like that. I'd heard that advice as a teenager back when cell phones were still fairly uncommon, but it still holds true today! Also, if you're being stalked, please report it! Even if the cops can't do anything or don't take you seriously, getting a paper trail started is important!
It is good advice but won't work well if the stalker has authority over those institutions. So if the stalker is a cop and works high up, you may be out of luck at the police station. Just thought I should mention that.
I never understand how some people could genuinely live in houses like this. With so many large windows with no blinds or curtains over them. Especially at night. I would be too paranoid to walk by them at night

Yeah I did question what the grandpa offered. "I got a big-ass empty mansion not far from where you live. Though you'll have to be in this big place alone." She needs company ! People who can protect her ! Not a larger stage for hide and seek !
10:25 - Something also useful, if you're driving and you think someone may be following you, turn left/right 4 times so you go in a circle- No-one is gunna do that unless they're specifically following you-
15:56 "I EAT.. PEOPLE.... also I love my granddaughter" We love a supportive grandpa who looks out for his grandkids. Right after his compulsive cannibalism
An even BETTER twist would be if the ending involved her Grandpa capturing and eating the obsessive/abusive ex-boyfriend, or maybe if the boyfriend was part of a cannibal cult that functioned as a metaphor for patriarchy? Idk they still all seem like great twists.@@wicked_awesome
And adding to Mark’s “know where your local police station and hospital are.” It’s a good idea to research those if you’re traveling, especially if you’re traveling alone
There is the possibility that it was Liam's decision as a way to make her feel more vulnerable and for him to feel like he's in control as he know where is at all times
@@Ronald98with 4b7s3 a lot of things that seem like common sense fly out the door due to the toll on the victim's brain. It does a number on ones psyche/nm
That first Liam reveal was great. I loved it. The motion of getting up was slow and the grunt/clearing throat made it feel so much more real. This isn’t some teleporting ghost, it’s a human being. That makes it a lot more terrifying in my opinion. But the premise of “I gotta get water” was stupid as hell. It doesn’t make sense because there really wasn’t any logical reason it couldn’t have been a key or a phone. In fact, it would’ve added to the terror, because it would mean that Liam was *intentionally* hiding near the phone/keys in order to catch her. Edit: adding 6:39 so I can access that whole moment to look back on
Yeah bec why would he know she wants water before she leaves or how would he even know she's forgetting something it would've made more sense for him to be under the car or something and grabbed her leg 😭😭 that would've been a way more scary thing
That's part of the reason I can't watch scary movies based around things that are actually plausible, like a home invasion or abduction. You're far less likely to be at risk of being harassed by demonic spookums than you are at risk of being targeted by a person. Makes it that much scarier
Its a good premise for a game but the severe lapses in logic need addressing. Like give some kind of reason for not being able to go to the police, like Liam being the son of a high ranking officer or something.
Yeah I get the message they may have been trying to get across but making the protagonist like this does hinder the intended message. That is unless the intention was to make the protagonist naive and unaware of stalking and being stalked which in that case they did do a pretty good job, but it does feel a bit too Hollywood cliche.
There's a series of Japanese horror games like this and one has an almost identical premise. They handle it much better. I wish I could remember what the games were called because they're really interesting. I only know about them because AstralSpiff played 3 or 4 on stream.
Sadly, I feel like, even if the authour had tried something like that, they would have taken it too far and made Grandpa into the one who hired Liam to stalk his granddaughter in the first place, just to give her an excuse to go out to his murder mansion. Does that make any sense? No, but I find that people who make these games always try to go for maximum shock value, even at the cost of common sense.
I feel like grandpa was in on it honestly, he told her to go by herself to a secluded mansion in the middle of the woods with literal coffins and torture equipment in the basement while a stalker is following her.
i love how mark says "that's actually a sensible thing to do" and then the rest of the game he's forced to make some of the worst safety decisions possible for a person who is actively being stalked
@@callak_9974It's not a terrible idea, but don't count on them. In most situations police literally cannot do anything for you unless the stalker has hurt you. The most you'll be able to do is make a report or see if they are willing to patrol your area for a few days.
Seeing marks reaction to creepy guys is so comforting, and giving genuine advice for when you may be in a dangerous situation. Massive edit because the replies to this comment devolved so quickly 1. the 'not all men' statement is true yes, but here is not the place to put said statement, after seeing a very brave person share their story of fear it's extremely innapropriate to pull out the not all men thing at that time. While I agree with the statement to a degree, statistics show that it is most men or mostly men, not to take away the valididaty of those who have been abused by women, their stories are valid and deserve to be heard aswell, just do not use those stories to your advantage as a man. 2. To the person talking about carrying a firearm for safety, while that may be the solution for you, I know many people who wouldn't feel any safer around you because of said firearm, I know many people who experience abuse are not comfortable with carrying or owning a firearm, there are other ways to defend yourseld that don't involve an automated weapon. 3. To all the women, men and nonbinary people who relate to this game (much like myself) I am sorry you had to go through the hell and paranoia that comes with it, know that you are not alone in your fight and that you are strong.
People in general dude. Most of the men (and women) in my family get stalked like this, headlines still go to women for reason I don't understand. @@you_are_being_judged
Genuinely I never thought about knowing where hospitals, fire departments and police stations are. I guess I always assumed I’d have a phone to find them.
While I do agree that you should still _try_ to seek help from the authorities, the unfortunate reality is that - at least here in the U.S. - police often don't take stalking too seriously, even when there is clear evidence and threat of violence :/
I don't normally make a sound when I see a jumpscare in these games, especially not when Mark is playing them, but that was the first in a while to actually make me cry out, even for a brief moment. Like, I slightly started to scream, then immediately stopped after reminding myself that I was safe. Most of the time, I just tense up or flinch.
Just a reminder: If you can't or don't know where the nearest police, fire, or hospital is but you do have a secondary location to hide at, always let someone you trust know your location or better yet have that person come with you and have first responders on the phone at the ready. As soon as you suspect something, call and describe the situation they will most likely send someone out to check around the area. Please stay safe, I've alr lost someone to a similar situation I don't want anyone else to go through that as well.
Grandpa being a mafia boss but a family man by heart would have been cool! Just imagining him appearing out of nowhere and pointing a gun behind Liam's head to save Kate at the last minute would have been menacing and badass!
RIGHT? When Liam is first chasing her in her house, the jumpscare didn't get me, but when she was running around the couch and Mark turned the camera angle to look back and he was RIGHT THE FRICK BEHIND HER i legitimately screamed and immediately flung my arms up in defensive mode. The undead are scary but this kind of stuff is WAY worse.
Stalking aside it's real nice that this woman can just jump from multi million dollar home to multi million dollar home so freely I'm definitely rooting for her
14:47 this is why I hate big houses. There is so much room for no reason at all, and so many things could be hidden that aren't supposed to be in there. My opinion, just get a small little house, the less hiding places the better.
That was actually more suspenseful and scary then a lot of other games. And I loved that the character just ignores all the horrible things in the basement.
The most unsettling type of horror is when the villain is just a guy. Just a real person who could actually be doing all of the terrible things they are doing.
fun fact, literally all bad people are people, it could be literally anybody, there is no easy or simple distinction to be made from who it is, and what they do. They are completely unrelated. And before anyone goes on about how serial killers kill animals, make NO assumptions about anyone and the likelihood you end up dead in a hole that nobody knows the location of is going to be less.
Something probably happening to hundreds if not thousands for real as we watch this. A different kind of scary than demons and ghosts. Stay safe everyone 🖤
Evil doesn't always have a scary face. If that was the case, then you could easily identify and avoid them. What's on the outside doesn't always reflect what's on the inside.
Marks advice is sound about knowing where police, fire, and medical is for when you are being followed in your car. Make sure to always file reports of harassment. The police may not be able to do anything, but it goes a long way towards getting an RO by starting a paper trail. Security cameras, camera doorbells, front and rear dash cams, all with sound, are a huge help in proving stalking. Make sure your inner circle and neighbors know. Make sure work knows. If a person shows up unannounced, TRESPASS THEM EVERY SINGLE TIME AND GET THE REPORT. An RO won't prevent a stalker from doing things to you, but if violated, they will at the very least face jail time. Always carry a legal weapon on your person, your phone, a back up battery charger for said phone, and a small flashlight. Make sure to create some last stand spaces in your home that can be locked and that have a bit of water, food, a weapon, and first aid. Work on methods of egress from your home, job, and stores you frequent. Do not keep silent. Make a scene, ask for help, have back up plans to your back up plans, and call the dang cops. You cannot read the mind of a stalker, you can just know they are obsessive, and if they escalate, it rarely goes well. Protect yourself and your peace. Also check all electronics, your car, and home for spying equipment, gps trackers, spyware, etc. Use secure lines only and use complicated passwords. Change your phone number if they obtain it and harass you via the phone. Always screenshot and save messages to a cloud service to be used as evidence if needed. Do not be passive. If there's one thing many stalking survivors regret, it's not speaking up and getting the cops looped in early. It sucks that the onus is shifted on you to protect yourself but that's just the way it is, so be vigilant and advocate for yourself as much as possible. It's NOT your fault, whatever the stalker does, but fault does little to protect you in the moment.
even if a filing a report doesn't help YOU, it could very well help the next person who encounters your stalker. hell, it might even help them MORE. the police will go "hmm this is interesting. someone else has accused them of stalking. wonder why 2 separate people have now claimed they are dangerous 🤔🤔"
Through environmental storytelling, we can only assume that the grandpa is really some sort ancient hell creature masquerading as a family patriarch who still doesn't quite have the best grasp on how humans work.
True that may be, he clearly does still care about his pseudo-granddaughter, given that he lets her come to his house to be away from Liam for a while. Being a demon he likely doesn't need it, but the sentiment is nice.
@@LizLuvsCupcakes the sentiment was indeed nice, but his haunted basement full of restraints and coffins was probably a less helpful place to send her than say a police station. He forgot a human wouldn't find that comforting.
The grandpa only said he bought the house and by the way he said it I'm guessing he doesn't live anywhere near it. He sounds like he's some rich property mogul or someone rich enough to have multiple estates. So we can't assume he was the one using it. He might never have even stepped foot in the place.
This game feels like it's going to need a ton more work but also, man, that lady did absolutely EVERYTHING wrong that she could have done in a stalking situation. Like, lady, go to a police station immediately, don't go to an abandoned mansion in the middle of nowhere surrounded by creepy dudes.
@@user-kz9zi7rv9pwhat, by turning yourself into the police station? I don’t think it would be at all helpful to a stalker to hear that people who know you’re committing crimes against them would go to the police station, fire department, or a hospital, where you’d either get caught or be unable to do anything.
10:30 to add to this, if you think someone is following you make 4 right turns. if they are still behind you then most definitely they are following you
Great thing about a lot of horror is that you know exactly what NOT to do. But it also has this feeling of helplessness as your character just makes things worse for themselves.
Fr.... she sees the brick in the window, and she's like "I better leave now." And then AT THE DOOR, "Actually lemme get water first"😂😂😂😂 like girl.....
I mean I would be more concerned about my grandpa too if I would find the.. stuff in his basement... in an empty mansion.. in a forest... with my ex boyfriend stalking me
20:55 I find this moment to be quite relatable, for every time I see a woman holding groceries in the parking lot, I too phase through my car door and bolt towards her
Kate being on her phone, talking about going somewhere Liam can’t find her, with the door unlocked, and assume the windows not being very soundproof… wow, I sure wonder how he ends up finding her. Totally safe place to go, alone, while being stalked.
For real, this is a distressing mix of "That's horrible and you don't deserve this, holy shit, I can't imagine how I'd act in the same situation" and "A guy breaks into your house, and you sit in your parked car, _with the doors unlocked_ as you refuse to look anywhere but directly at your phone?! GET OUT OF THERE AND _THEN_ CALL FOR HELP, YOU IDIOT."
I'm really torn on this protagonist because like half of me knows that, if this was realistically a person I'd been dating for awhile (regardless of them being "toxic" like she mentioned), I'd probably also assume they weren't *absolutely batshit crazy* and would leave me alone if just I skipped town for a bit.... But at the same time, you should've called the cops on his ass the second he threw a fucking rock through your window?!!! Going to an abandoned murder mansion on your own and not questioning any of the sketchy shit going on around you?? Like can we get a molecule of common sense?
@@Tyriad_ - the really unfortunate part is knowing that in a lot of cases, the one getting a rock through their window _does just that_ -- and then _the cops let the stalker go because they don't see any reason to detain them._
Y'know having a Grandpa that lets you stay at his suspicious abandoned mansion is great and all, but the first thing that anyone should do in this scenario is GO TO THE POLICE STATION [and call them on the way there]. Gotta love the good ol' horror protagonist with half a brain cell.
And keep going to different departments if they don’t do anything or tell you not to worry, it’s a really problematic thing and with video games(other than this one bc it shows how bad it is) and shows/movies/books show how it’s “romantic” and people view it as such but stalking becomes really scary and dangerous like this game shows, but if your ever being stalked, take evidence, document EVERYTHING, take pictures of them being at the same place you are, take pics of their car at the same place you are, any letters or gifts they send you, keep and document all, tell friends and family too so they know what’s up if something happens and you have to leave your house and like I said in the beginning go to the police but if the department you go to dosent take you seriously keep going to different departments until someone does
At the restaurant I worked, some homeless guy came in one night and started doing coke in one of the booths. We were maybe 15 at the time, and we phoned the police. They told us someone would be over soon. No-one ever came. The police are fucking useless and will probably see you as something preventing them from going home and having dinner.
the police will definitely do something. What the stalker did is breaking and entering and if he has a weapon attempted murder with notes and evidence of stalking as a proof of malicious intent. but whatever horror movie/game protagonist logic i guess
I feel like it would add a lot to the game to have the main character call the cops but they're just dismissive or something. It would make it feel more like she really has no other options instead of that she's just making bad decisions all the time...
So a few things I am learning about Kate from this game. 1. They are extremely gullible and have very little survival knowledge. 2. They don't question anything. 3. They may or may not be an exhibitionist due to lack of curtains and clear windows leading directly to their bath tub.
I've watched alot of scary game play but the scene where Liam pops up from behind the counter was by far the scariest. Like imagine being home alone and this man pops up from behind the counter 😭. Heart attack immediately 😐
I can confirm Mark's reaction to that creep's commentary is exactly what we women think every time a creep approaches us like that lmao. "I hope your aorta explodes" and "step on a land mine" are especially accurate 😂 also this protagonist has virtually zero survival instincts
That guy running up after the convenience store was probably one the the hardest jumpscares I have experienced since watching Mark.. Holy.. Shit. I peed a little and kicked my desk so hard.. I think I broke my pinky toe.
I honestly gasped and almost dropped my cup of coffee when that guy came out running to her in the parking lot, never got so scared from a horror game lol
the strangers coming to you saying "you shouldn't be alone" or "I will walk you home so nothing bad happens to you" are the most creepy people I'm meeting whenever i go back home at night. Most of them want to be nice and probably are good people, but still always giving weird vibes
Its so horrible that some of the weirdos rely on the fact that you believe in good people so they can take advantage of that fact, and therefore women can't trust any other man with actual good intentions and the good men have now lower chance at proving there are good people out there
Hey Mark, tbh I been shy to say something to you but I wanted to thank you for being a part of who I became. I watched a lot of your FNAF gaming videos several years ago with my mentor and you introduced me to FNAF. I built my own FNAF puppets for that reason and now it’s been almost 10 years and I have just had been noticed by the arts board and gotten a ton of publications from newspapers and even TV interviews. I even built my own puppet academy online and I still teaching this craft. I have made over 100 puppets and it continues. All because you introduced me to FNAF and inspired me to create my own fantasy to life. All you had to do was be yourself. Your branch touched my roots. Took me a long time to want to finally tell you and I hope you find this, because it was ultimately you who started me into this craft. So please never think what you are doing is a waste of time because you are affecting lives. Thank you for this. ❤
Fun fact! There are actually portable radiators that don't need to be hooked up to the wall (I know, my grandpa also had one)..... 16:13 I'm referencing this part btw
it's funny how you can immediately tell when a stalked woman was written by someone who is not a woman solely by the questionable decisions the character makes 😭😭
and then drives out to an empty mansion in the middle of the woods, doesn't appear to lock any of the doors, gets a creepy message from a stranger and just. stays. twice.
ngl when she first called grandpa instead of the cops i wondered if it was some sort of mafia/hit man thing where he’d “take care” of liam for her… and after seeing the basement i’m not sure that was wrong. i’m eager to see if we get an explanation…
yeah, good to see someone aware of the dangers of sitting in a parking lot with your doors open or unlocked, too many people do stuff like that without thinking about it
To be fair... that jump scare in the parking lot is pretty accurate to how it feels as a woman when a strange man approaches you out of nowhere. 😂 Very realistic in its atmosphere.
The guy running up to you outside the convenience store made me jolt so hard. That's the first jumpscare in a while that's actually made me jump properly
I love Mark for always being the older cousin to all of us and sneaking in teaching us basic safety precautions in his videos. My mother never taught me some of this stuff, and I never had anyone older to teach me the things she didn’t have the time to. So it’s silly but “Know your landmark emergency facilities” was appreciated advice
additional advice is that if you are in a crowded area and someone is being creepy, make it known. Be loud, be rude, do NOT do it when alone as this can escalate the situation, if anyone asks if youre alone, deny deny deny, say you are with your father or brother, boyfriend, anything, do not say you are alone with anyone who isn’t explicitly male because they will take it as a chance
an ex of mine stalked me too. Scariest thing wasn't not being physically strong enough to stop her from doing anything, I was more than capable of overpowering her; it's that she had legal power above me. scary shit, stay safe
Firstly, I appreciate the real world advice about safety. Thank you Mark! Secondly, the time between when I saw the coffins in the basement while mark was trying to find the ghost light, and when Mark noticed the coffins, was just pure gold and I'll treasure that hilarity for days to come.
11:45 Just to make sure we’re all on the same page, Mark just walked down into a cellar, whose doors were open, walked down into the basement (that had the lights ON), stepped into a doorway and immediately turned around with his back to the room hes hasnt been into yet to look at something for a few seconds
20:55 This was the part out of the entire video that scared me so bad my chest hurts now. It's worse that he didn't just appear but there was a split second when he was actually by his car and then right in front of Mark. Proved space, matter, and time to all be a sham.
I saw this comment 5 minutes before it happened; was like "oh goodie, let's get ready for the scare"; kept reminding myself a (clearly by how you said it) bad scare was gonna happen and was looking at the minutes in bottom left... I eventually got distracted by eating my lunch and when the jumpscare happened I felt like I literally saw my life flash before my eyes💀
I truly love how mad Mark is at the player character, and giving genuinely good advice to the viewers. King. Yes. If someone has broken into your home, DON'T go get water first, get out the fkin door! Once in the car, lock the damn doors and GO. If you forgot your keys, BANG ON A NEIGHBOR'S DOOR. Call 911/999 whatever your country's emergency number is. Like Mark said, go to a police department, fire department, hospital! Somewhere that is a 24/7 emergency stop. (Don't even bother parking in a spot, just go straight to the double doors and run inside!) Be smart. Be safe. Lay on the horn if someone is trying to waylay you. Just... For the love of God. Don't do anything like the main character in this game. And make sure you have fuckign blinds and/or drapes. Jesus.
But to be fair, the game cheated, because the apartment is like in the 4th or 5th floor and the door was never opened . In reality he could not have entered the way it happened in game xD
Mark giving real life tips about what to do in the case of an emergency instead of going to an empty mansion was so funny but also a good point and very informative!
Honestly this. Like as long as the facility you go to isn’t a place where your stalker works/has sway over it would be way safer to go to a fire station, hospital, or police station than to go to an abandoned mansion out in the country.
While the plot of this game makes little if any sense, you gotta appreciate it’s ability to consistently get mark, I haven’t seen him scream at one of these horror games in a while
I wish a game like this would try to be more realistic, i actually think it'd be lot more scary if it was. like instead of retreating to an abandoned desolate mansion in the woods and calling no one (lol) imagine a game where you're trying to go about your life while being clearly stalked by an increasingly violent ex. calling the police often, staying with friends and family here and there but being ultimately ignored and eventually hopeless since he hasn't done anything TOO illegal. the cops really can't really do too much about stalkers until they do something violent. the buildup, stress and frustration would make for a good horror game
As to why she didn't just LEAVE the mansion and just go stay in a hotel when that unknown number started texting her at 22:20 is beyond me. That's what I would have done. She just didn't think it terrifying that some unknown person was watching her every move and somehow had her number...Darwin award recipient there.
Too bad he didn't have some mobsters hanging around the mansion for protection. They would have messed Liam up, and the countless other strangers that she keeps running into in this creepy ass town.
I got a jumpscare that wasn’t even from the video. When mark was standing in the grandpas house getting texts from an unknown number I got an actual call from an unknown number. I didn’t answer it but it still scared the shit out of me.
18:48 As a woman, these are real questions I’ve been asked. And it is, in fact, as horrifying as it seems. She gave a good answer. That’s what I was taught to do.
Do NOT go to an isolated location, a blind alley, a forest, an empty street, anywhere you'll be totally alone is a no-no if you feel like you're being followed, you want people around you, because a flash mob of strangers can stop a kidnapper or abuser as well as the closest group of freinds.
thank you
thank you
Yes. Never go home or to your car either. That just gives them more personal info.
Going off the grocery thing, i work in a grocery store. You give us a reason to throw hands with someone and half of us will barely wait for you to finish explaining the situation. Some customer stared at one of my coworkers through the stall door while she was just trying to use the restroom and three of us were ready to confront the lady once we found out.
this is good because i live closer to a school than anything else so it would be easiest to get to without a car
the closest fire station and hospital are both a 30 minute walk and the closest police station is a 1 hour walk whilst the closest school is about a 10-15 minute walk so a school or a neighbour would be better in some situations
Mark discovering all the horrible things in the basement one by one was hilarious.

Edit: adding 6:39 so I can access that whole moment to look back on
Yeah bec why would he know she wants water before she leaves or how would he even know she's forgetting something it would've made more sense for him to be under the car or something and grabbed her leg 😭😭 that would've been a way more scary thing
they could’ve gone with “i forgot to turn the stove off” or something. phone or keys, like you said, would’ve also made more sense than… water.
That's part of the reason I can't watch scary movies based around things that are actually plausible, like a home invasion or abduction. You're far less likely to be at risk of being harassed by demonic spookums than you are at risk of being targeted by a person. Makes it that much scarier
This woman did literally everything you shouldnt do in a stalking situation.

Evil doesn't always have a scary face. If that was the case, then you could easily identify and avoid them.
What's on the outside doesn't always reflect what's on the inside.
Wttg series has a group of guys like that
Marks advice is sound about knowing where police, fire, and medical is for when you are being followed in your car. It's NOT your fault, whatever the stalker does, but fault does little to protect you in the moment.
even if a filing a report doesn't help YOU, it could very well help the next person who encounters your stalker. hell, it might even help them MORE. the police will go "hmm this is interesting. someone else has accused them of stalking. wonder why 2 separate people have now claimed they are dangerous 🤔🤔"
damn, chill out Batman
Yeah nah thats too much work, I don't enjoy life all that much just murder me

Marks responses to being approached by a man in a parking lot are spot on 👌

yeah, good to see someone aware of the dangers of sitting in a parking lot with your doors open or unlocked, too many people do stuff like that without thinking about it
Okay, but that guy charged at Mark 😂

@@jameswent48🤓🤓🤓
To be fair... that jump scare in the parking lot is pretty accurate to how it feels as a woman when a strange man approaches you out of nowhere. 😂 Very realistic in its atmosphere.
Agreed 😂
The guy running up to you outside the convenience store made me jolt so hard. That's the first jumpscare in a while that's actually made me jump properly
Mark judging Grandpas kinky basement stuff is definitely the second funniest part of my day. Following close by to Zuckerberg stalking him. 😂
Be loud, be rude, do NOT do it when alone as this can escalate the situation, if anyone asks if youre alone, deny deny deny, say you are with your father or brother, boyfriend, anything, do not say you are alone with anyone who isn’t explicitly male because they will take it as a chance
i love how mark is so chill and "serious" but as soon as a jumpscare happens it still gets him
Yeah, I'm glad he's not acting or anything ;)
9:35 - Ghost orb? 🤔🤔 Could be a Banshee, Hantu, Mare, Obake, Onryo, Raiju, Revenant, Thaye, Yokai, or a Yurei. Hope this narrows it down. 😂😂

Guys, my name is Liam, so hearing Mark say my name like he broke up with me is NOT something I expected to witness today.
Bruh
i would never recover
Sounds like he gave you up. Let you down.
Our name is pretty uncommon to hear, I think out of my entire life up to this point I’ve only ever heard someone else being called Liam 4 times.
oh dude i know it's wild lollll
As unsettling as this game is, Mark manages to make it easy to watch
It's his specialty
As a woman who was stalked after a break up, I can confirm it's terrifying.
Right? Like, having some serious flashbacks right now.
an ex of mine stalked me too. Scariest thing wasn't not being physically strong enough to stop her from doing anything, I was more than capable of overpowering her; it's that she had legal power above me. scary shit, stay safe
@@MicaJYoung 0
@@alejandropulidorodriguez9723It is a horrifying experience, stay safe! 🙏
Are you okay?
14:13 I love the way she's like it's fine imma sleep without lights
Firstly, I appreciate the real world advice about safety. Thank you Mark!
Secondly, the time between when I saw the coffins in the basement while mark was trying to find the ghost light, and when Mark noticed the coffins, was just pure gold and I'll treasure that hilarity for days to come.
i kept saying out loud “mark…the coffins…” while getting more and more concerned
11:45 Just to make sure we’re all on the same page, Mark just walked down into a cellar, whose doors were open, walked down into the basement (that had the lights ON), stepped into a doorway and immediately turned around with his back to the room hes hasnt been into yet to look at something for a few seconds
but wait lights are off
Personally, it would be scarier if the MC went to the police and they brushed her off. Makes it much more terrifying and lonely.
Yea the writing in this game is so goofy its almost comedic
i dont think police would brush someone off if they told them that someone broke into their house and tried to kidnap them
and realistic
@@laylalovesdicaprio Oh dear, I'm afraid to tell you it's something kinda true.

20:55 This was the part out of the entire video that scared me so bad my chest hurts now. It's worse that he didn't just appear but there was a split second when he was actually by his car and then right in front of Mark. Proved space, matter, and time to all be a sham.
i love how mark is giving actual advice if you're in a situation like this
Another thing that would help in situations like these: HAVING A CCW.
i have seen many types of horror media, but the absolute terror I experienced at 20:55 is unmatched.
A real-life moment. Those are the scariest.
Facts
I clicked it again and got scared knowing it was gonna happen.
i clicked unsuspectingly. this was horrible lmao
(Don't even bother parking in a spot, just go straight to the double doors and run inside!)
Be smart.
@@ScoreMagnet oh absolutely. Perhaps he is a ghost? Or a super spy who ziplined in from a helicopter? XD

Liam is the reason a lot of people break up over text message and don't answer attempts to reach them in person.
As to why she didn't just LEAVE the mansion and just go stay in a hotel when that unknown number started texting her at 22:20 is beyond me. That's what I would have done. She just didn't think it terrifying that some unknown person was watching her every move and somehow had her number...Darwin award recipient there.

Feeling like "grandpa" is actually a mob boss, and he sent you to one of his many hideouts.
Too bad he didn't have some mobsters hanging around the mansion for protection. They would have messed Liam up, and the countless other strangers that she keeps running into in this creepy ass town.
that would’ve of been fucking awesome.
I got a jumpscare that wasn’t even from the video. When mark was standing in the grandpas house getting texts from an unknown number I got an actual call from an unknown number. I didn’t answer it but it still scared the shit out of me.
Mark is giving great life advice for us and the protagonist (and impeccable unalife advice for the parking lot guy)
18:48 As a woman, these are real questions I’ve been asked. And it is, in fact, as horrifying as it seems. She gave a good answer. That’s what I was taught to do.
