I get all my equipment from garage sales - garden weasel, pitchfork, light rake, heavy rake, hoe, trellis and a wheelbarrow, all for $1 each. Also got fertilizer and a bag of soil for $1 each. I even got seedlings. Only cost is seeds and soil.
I totally understand the overwhelming feeling of the fertilizer section of the nursery! Thanks for offering a giveaway..love your videos! I live in San Marcos..about 15 minutes from there!
I have never been to this nursery but it looks fantastic! Taking the online growers course now. Baby farmer Desi in training. Zone 9 Escondido here! Thanks for all you teach us!
I have tried to grow things in my garden and have only been successful with tomatoes-🍅 I didn't realize all the info needed to make a garden successful until watching your videos. It can be overwhelming but I am going to try again and I too live in San Diego and have been watching your videos and start to make smarter and wiser decisions when, where and what to plant thanks to you!
We bought bulk soil to fill out beds. That said we had to add lots of additives like compost and worm castings and added some slow release fertilizers as well.
LOVE Andersons La Costa! They are always super helpful and have a great variety of reasonably priced plants! Also totally second the 420 potting soil, that stuff is magic!!! 🤗
Oooh! I’m in South OC…close enough to be considered a “local?” 😉 I’d love to see all those yummy San Diego Seed Company seeds on display at that nursery. Such great success with the SD seeds I’ve purchased. (I bought some to fill my Christmas stocking. 🤣) Your little bundle is so adorable-betting you are looking forward to the day when he can play in the dirt, too! (Enjoy every moment-each stage gets even better than the next. Sons are terrific!) Hope to attend a future event down your way. 😍🍓🪴🥦

Gardening is a journey! You'll love all the things you can grow

That works too!
Garden soil, raised bed mix in my experience is great and better if setup prior to planting. If wanting to plant right away mix half pitting mix.
I am excited to check out Anderson's La Costa! new to the area so this was a nice tour for me along with the good advice. Thanks!
I'm local! love your videos and your seeds, hope I win! 🥰
Love what you all do! Great video. Hoping to win those seeds! 😊
Your sweet baby is so cute!!! Love your videos - so helpful!!! ❤ thank you!!
I’m a San Diego, winning would be a good excuse to go visit this nursery. 😅
It's a great spot!
I hope whoever wins has fun. As a new(er) gardener one of the things I splurged on was seeds. It’s so fun imagining what i would plant.
you're not gardening alone, you have mother nature and all her wisdom helping out every day.
@@earthsystem ☀️. Indeed.

OMG! USDA has just changed our growing zone from 9b to 10a? But this year felt colder than last year What the heck? What do I do differently?
What does this mean for my fruit trees?😢
@@stephaniehanuman-dale6279 Trees that need a certain number of cold hours (ex. peaches) are really the main thing. Citrus will be fine
