Hey dude, for scallops you wanna look for a gravel bottom not sand, and it should have a decent current so somewhere between islands or in gravelly channels...awesome video keep em comin

You're not the only one nervous about sharks in the water. I'd like to think though they are a bit farther out from our coast, based on patters of Ocearch.

Where abouts did you go? Some spots I probably wouldn't try cause on Ocearch I've seen sharks go by there.

I was at a beach on the southern shore on Sunday and was in about 2-3 feet of water around the rocky, sea weed area and we found a ton of crabs, mostly medium sized. Unexpectedly we found a large lobster moving along the weeds and filmed in.

Noah, I absolutely love this video and very much want to see lots more of them. It is a whole new and different world under the sea. At least that is what Sebastian the crab said in the Little Mermaid movie....lol The movement of the kelp and other plants is mesmerizing. No wonder you where there for over 5 hours as it put you in a trance. The only place I know of where you can get scallops is either at Clearwater or Fishermen's Market on the Bedford Highway or on the side of the road from a road side vendor....lol Looking forward to seeing more of what this province has to offer on land and under the water. Stay safe out there, but I would highly recommend that you take someone along with you even if they don't get in the water. Always nice to have a buddy along with you in case something goes wrong. Catch you on the next adventure. Tom.

(beautiful footage btw, cool to see these sea life on our shore) I think up along the coast of the Northumberland Strait you may find scallops, saw a video on here. The waters are warmer and sands darker there.

So many of these tiny coves and inlets in Nova Scotia...I think it would takes years for an individual to explore them all...what a great way to get around to some of them using a paddle board...for me though, I think I would be spending more of my time falling off rather than paddling...lol...thanks for taking me along on your adventure...

Hey buddy! Love your video! I was doing some research about spearfishing and Lobster diving in Nova Scotia and yours was the fist one to pop up. Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
One safety tip though: whenever you dive (no matter how deep) take your snorkel out of your mouth. Just let it hang on the side of your face. The reason for that is if you ever do black out (which I really hope you don't) the snorkel would be like a "funnel" in your mouth, filling your lungs with water... very dangerous. the other reason is, that you don't have to blow your snorkel out first when you get back to the surface to take a breath. Especially after a longer dive you don't want to be doing that but just simply take a deep breath.
Hope to see more of your videos! Stay safe!

Not sure if you heard of Murphy's Camping on the Ocean down Sheet Harbour way but I am betting Dave the owner could tell you of some really cool spots. Directly off shore from Indian Point is an Island. On the far side of the Island, out of view of the land, the Heisler family built wooden fishing vessels for many years. To seaward and into the bay last I visited there is a thriving shellfish farm.
It was at Indian Point I learned the truth of the Sculpin. Nasty sharp spines. Dont step on one.

Another great video Noah! Beautiful Thanks. We have lots of scallops here on Haida Gwaii, well, in the ocean, so in winter, after a storm , they're walking on the beach. Maybe in 2021 we'll be open to visitors, or earlier. No need to fear bears here, even though they're the largest in the world, they're harmless and protected. I hope your Labrador movie wins some major awards. The series was amazing. Idk how you could be afraid of anything after doing all that, however, you had friends to watch your back.
