The greatest, Michael Jordan, would get beat up and hit, and knocked down constantly against the Pistons, Knicks, Celtics, etc. So many of the top players and MVPs are targeted. Steph Curry was mugged constantly in the finals twice against the Cavs.

More specifically fine, an unprovoked attack like that should be fined. Mainly because that was a very cheap/dirty attempt to injure opponent's star player
IF the league doesn't want to deal with uncalled for injuries that aren't part of the game then these things should be fined. For a reference, Marcus got fined 35k for the series against Luka (there were at least 3 cheap shot attempts in that series), and the fine is less than swearing live on TV
That's just ridiculous, irresponsive and ridiculous. So yes, plays like these should be fined (at least 1 million a piece, if not more), a game suspension doesn't cut it IMO

Much worse off, if we're comparing their backgrounds to guys like Michael Jordan and Chris Paul (middle-class childhood), or Steph Curry & the late Kobe Bryant (affluent / rich childhood). In fact, with each passing year the African-American NBA players are likelier to come from middle-class or even rich backgrounds. This is because the NBA is increasingly comprised of the sons of top college/pro athletes. This "coming out of the hood" tale is increasingly NOT the actual story these days for the African-American players......

I agree with Stephen A Smith Morris is a physical player. He plays the game like they played in the 80's and 90's. Detroit Pistons had physical players in that era. Some of theses European players come from tough environment, so they can get physical, too.
