  • London Bridge is an open cut through a rock on the exposed Norther tip of Tobago. It is the point where the Caribbean and Atlantic meet and is exposed to the Northern swells. Special arrangements must be made to dive there and even then, prevailing conditions may prevent the dive. On this SailDives.com adventure, the seas were not rough, the current was not too strong and the viz was not too low. The dive was a go!
You decend on a protected side of one of several huge rocks that jut out of the sea then fin around among Sharks and Morays and huge schools of Brown Chromis, and in Tobago schools of Black Durgeon. A stop by the suspened rock and then descend to made the way to the entrance of London Bridge.
The surge picks ups as we approach the entrance, "Swim with the surge then hold on!" Kestor advises, there's no turning back once you enter the Bridge. The surge becomes so strong that Corey felt her regulator almost got pulled out. The sequence was filmed by Sal, one handed in one take and by the end of the ride, everyone is huffing and puffing.
Great thanks to Andre Fraiser, Kester and Dino and to the crew on catamaran Jade for another great day with SailDives in Tobago.
SailDives.com provides a combination of sailing and diving together in perfect harmony for an intimate vacation experience on luxury catamaran yachts in Belize, Bequia, Tobago and Tortola.

@MrShaneSunshine The surge pushes you back, you need to hang onto the rocks at the bottom to avoid being shot out the back, There is no coral or other marine life touched. You have to fin like crazy to get through to the next hold before the next surge. People who are experienced scuba divers know the difference between what can and can not be touched. Hopefully someday you will be able to learn about scuba diving and enjoy wonderful locations like London Bridge in Tobago.

Upon looking at your video I realise that I was irritated by how close to the rocks you were. in my mid the rocks might have just as well have been coral. My reaction was knee-jerk and for that you may think me a jerk. After some reflection it is your close proximity to the rocks that bother's me. I'm sure you have seen divers do bad things on the reef. If you were supervising an inexperienced diver who was touching things what would you do to educate them and to make them teach others too?
