Excellent review. I really like how you talk about the paddle while actually using it and providing direct commentary about the shots while hitting them. I don't believe ive seen any other reviewers do that format. Its really helpful because it allows the viewer to visualize the description of how the shots feel and connect what you are trying to do on-court with how the paddle actually performs. Im probably gonna get one. I have an Engage MX Pro 6.0 and it's substantial- hits hard, feels on the stiffer side, but i would totally love if it had the shogun's qualities of a tad plusher while retaining pop.
@@MetalEsquire thanks for the positive feedback - it’s 100% why I’ve chosen to do on-court reviews! 👍👍. The shogun would be a good step down - similar shape and more feel without losing too much pop/power. I believe @pickleballeffect has a code for a discount if you want to save a little bit and help him out. Thanks again!
Keep doing the on court reviews. Will definitely separate you from everyone else. From my experience with the shogun, it tends to fly on me. Resets ended up higher that I'd like, some of my serves would go farther than usual and at times it popped a bit more than I'd like.
Used this paddle yesterday, this paddle fits me well bc I hit the ball hard especially on my serves. My old paddle had a lot of power so I had trouble keeping some balls in but this paddle I can put more swing into and my ball still stays in . Definitely worth trying this paddle if you have trouble hitting balls out
@@juansantiago1441 slightly poppier than the viva pro gen 3, but doesn’t feel as head heavy. It would be a good 1/2 step up in pop/power without losing much feel.

Ooo mine coming in tomorrow!!!
Excellent review… how does it compare to the Hudef Viva Pro gen 3. I currently main the viva gen 3 and I’m interested in the Shogun.
