NETFLIX WEDNESDAY was shot in Romania. A Christmas Prince and the two sequels, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding and A Christmas Prince: Royal Baby were also shot in Romania. The royal castle of Aldovia, seen in all three Christmas Prince films, is actually Peleș Castle, located in Sinaia, Romania.

They asked if he was actually Born in Romania.... since eventually US peoples consider everyone American if they were born in US even if both parents are from another country =)).
And the answer even so is yes... Sebastian Stan not only has Romanian parents but was also born in Romania, and lived his early childhood in Romania. But of course he is also American... and eventually most dont know his origin anyway.

@@L2Xenta Sebastian lived a bit in Romania. When he visited, he spoke broken Romanian, but not that bad for how much he lived away.
But Stan Lee's parent moved there before he was born (if I'm not mistaken), but he never spoke about it, as far as I know.

The Impaler's name was not Vladimir, but Vladislvav, or Vlad for short.

    • @L2Xenta
      @L2Xenta Рік тому +2

Vladimir is very very rare in Romania. We have lots of Vlad however....
Historically we had some Rulers in the area but they were "Vladislav" , quite few however and in early medieval times.. eventually the name became Romanian version simply Vlad. I think "Vladimir" became a little bit more spread in the communist time from Russian area ... but is very rare here.

I was delighted that you were interested in my country. But I was also saddened that you had to learn this brief information from a UA-cam channel. In elementary school I started learning about other countries, geography, history ... I was (e.g.) supposed to know about all the US states, their capitals and locations, the topography, the plants and animals that exist and those that are human bred. It was like that with all the countries of the world. No offense to anyone, but I think I knew more about America than many American students of the same age, because I have seen, now, that a significant portion of adults do not know these things. Ignorance and carelessness leads to bad decisions.
However, I congratulate you for your efforts and invite you, if possible, to visit Romania.

Communism in Romania was bad only in the last years, when Ceausescu realised that he was going to be taken down and hurry things.
The first 10-12 years it was that socialist uthopia where people were respecting each other and every man that lived there is nostalgic about.
Besides, he built like 60% of our cities and we are the only country in human history that paid all its external liability (and it was very big due to our alliance with The Third Reich in WW2)

    Howdy !
good people, probably not many people are aware of the fact that the Latin language is derived from the Romanian language, and thus all the languages that come from the Latin language have the Romanian language as their root [therefore it is not surprising that Romanians easily understand spoken languages in the "Latin" countries

At the revolution in 1989 the country had no foreign debt and was doing ok outside the dictatorship and all that involved. The country wasn’t poor on the contrary. Meanwhile lost everything industry agriculture people etc plus the debt went sky high. Would’ve preferred our western relatives to be really helpful or Romania to not rush so into obliging west rules…. The speech is long anyhow America never helped and if you ask me now it’s the same.

Eh... it wasn't really that bad during communism, those are stupid, there were a few years when it was worse, but they were for a purpose. We developed factories until we no longer needed to import anything, we participated in the construction of many countries. We ended up being the only country in the world that paid off all its debts, and we remain the only one that has paid off all its debts until now. We started to develop a world bank for poorer countries. This offended the FMI and the World Bank. And they killed Ceausescu. To destroy us. I entered the EU and it was the worst choice, they destroyed all the factories, plants, the army, everything. To be able to sell their products. I'll give you just a short example. We had the second diamond factory in the world, the first one was in the US, do you know what the EU did? They demolished it to make a German supermarket and a children's park.

You don't know anything about Geography, and the History of Romania, I am Romanian, and my mother is a Professor of History and Geography at the University, so I want to leave the bad jokes, sarcasm and ironic humiliation, and try to check all the manuscripts and the veracity like this that you try to be balanced, for the fact that some of the vulgar and UA-cam ers know nothing about Romanian History.

  • @navybro7155

    1. I dont know to respond at your Romans question, in Romania we call them Țigani(Gypsyes) or Rroms(Roman).
Gypsyes make 13% of our population, not 3%, we are the country with the biggest community and its belived that they come from India or Porkistan.
    2. the ,,silly" cemitery is probably called like that in english bcs its classified as the world's happiest cemitery
    3. The Hoia Baciu forest is not haunted, I have been there muliple times, nothing happened, but its weird bcs all the trees are curved the same.
    4. I alwais looked at our mountainous system as a bow on the map
    5. Altough a lot of people suffered and the food was a few, communism really helped us. Ceaușescu built like 60% of our roads and cities and thanks to him, we are the only county in human history that paid all its external liability(it was very big, because we owed Europe a lot after WW2, when we were fascists)
    6. Mici is the most romanian meat that you can find now, and it doesent matter if you are Maghiar, Gypsy or Sash, you love Mici.
    Piftie is litterally delicious
    7. Our currency, the lei, is like something special. The papers are made of plastic, so if you drop it in a lake or try to burn it, nothing happens
    8. It depends of the happines index of the country. Romania, is unfortunately, losing population, but most of the times the romanians that live outside Romania are just a bunch of stupid and bad people that don't know how to appreciate their county's culturally values and will say that life in Romania is bad, when its actually full of lovely people that will help you any time. Plus, we are one of the most religious country in the world and in the Bible says to don't steal, don't kill, don't lie, so the stereotype that romanians steal may be funny but it applies only at the romanians outside the country, that are not so religious
9.King Michael the first was a very bad monarch, but the ultranationalistic grup Legionarii, helped by Ion Antonescu (a nazi piece of shi*), took Michael down
    10. Idk, its just funny to kidnap the bride :)))
    11. About the noise thing and masks, its named urătură and its made to celebrate the New Year, not Christmas
    12. We also made the first working plane, BUT NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT THAT
    13. If you want to see the traditional , cool romanian music, search traditional romanian music, if you want to see the actual, deculturalised, dumb, but popular here music, its called ,,manele"
    14. We deserve a better goverment, a goverment that does not kiss in the but EU (EU mostly didn't helped us at all), but stands for its own.
    15. For an american I'll give him a 7, its ok
    16. We dont even want to be part of that zones, if we would be part of shengen, the crime rate would go crazy+ its good to have ur own currency, you can drop and haigh its value over the times
    17. I am half modlovan half romanian and I am going to Moldova like 6 times a year to visit my grandparents. We really are the same people and historically it was romanian, but invaded by Russian empire, then we took her back, and than by soviets. It was a pact that said after communism collapses, we will unite, but it never happened.
    18. Our best friend would be Serbia, Bulgaria or Greece(I already explained why not Moldova)
As a romanian, I love my country, my brothers and my culture, it is very underated and I love how we are religious and love God no matter how tough the times are🇷🇴☦
