Any live stream this week for Christmas
Potentially later this afternoon....dude...check out the facebook channel...3-6 lives a week! facebook.com/stoneyridgefarmer I don't think you have to have a fb account to see the lives
No do I watch them
Thanks for all the fun and Merry Christmas to you !
The YardYota was the original UTV. LOL
Hey Josh, hunt on line for a scuba diver's wet-suit repair kit. To fix / repair your hip waders.
Saw you watched our video on the tire tank, thanks for leaving a comment that tickled my boy like you wouldn’t believe. I’ve noticed that the water doesn’t freeze as fast in the tires, I figure the black draws heat better then the galvanized stock tanks. The cows look awesome!
Josh, you inspire my husband and I to become more regenerative on our farm. Thanks for all you teach us! 😁
Josh I'm 79 years old, my parents taught me to buy the best, for a life time of use, vs. cheap and many buys. I applaud what your building.
Good solution. I had an upside down plastic cement mixing tub mounted to two floating pockets tube. I zipped an aluminum lamp holder to it in the center with the tub cut out. I kept a 75 watt exterior lamp in it and had the lamp on a time. I ran the light at night an kept a hole melted in the pond ice all winter. This provided enough oxygen to keep my goldfish alive. I had about 30 goldfish in that pond for 17 years. They reproduced and the numbers always stayed consistent. I imagine a solar system could also keep a hole open in the pond during freeze up. Great video. Reminded me of my uncle and his cattle.
Superglue might weld that cut in the wader . . .apply to cut and press together.
Hey Josh, back in the 70s there was an antifreeze "shortage" and I knew a guy that filled his radiator with spring water he said he never saw a spring freeze up..... didn't end well HAHA. Merry Christmas!! and thanks for the videos.
I really enjoy your videos, it's definitely helping us wishing to get a homestead started to avoid some mistakes.
You can do it!
Haha! I thought tire waterer was a brand! Nope, actual tire 😆.
And that 40 degree water isn't making me feel too cozy considering it's snowing right now 😄
Josh you need a weight on that filter to keep the wind from blowing the float around
Cool video Josh. Well you got a bunch of problems solved and took care of. I hope you have a Merry Christmas. 👍👍👍❤️🎄
had 1 of those pumps in the 80s they work good
Sorry about water cows are curios creatures. Thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas.
Ball valves are most susceptible to freeze damage because there is a thin film of water around the ball, no matter open or closed. You might try a gate valve if you have troubles again.
Hi Josh, sorry about the water woes! Be careful with the "cold water" . BE SAFE & BLESSED BE!
Hei
Those valves here in SA we close them drill a small hole in the side and then put it back it solves most problems! Because the blow up because water expands when it freezes. The hole releases the presure. Try it some time
I laugh every time you say about cows being curious. A local black angus farmer let me get rid of a busted up concrete from a patio. My wife and I pull into the pasture and soon we are surrounded by cows, wondering what we are doing. It was like they were watching a tennis match as we offloaded chunks of concrete, they way they looked back and forth with each piece we threw out of the back of the truck. My wife was intimidated by their size. We still laugh about that.
Hello from Minnesota!
As a firefighter I have worked with full survival suits while practicing ice rescue. Naturally, any suit that has had a significant amount of use will leak - always in the groin area. Now I’m retired. I let the youngsters deal
Oops! I tried to say that I let the youngsters deal with that stuff these days. Nothing like a leaking survival suit to keep you alert.
@ BC.....I think that JOSH said used those waders about 3 time?? Of all the places for waders to leak, not fun when they leak around the 'nads (LOL) BE SAFE
VT sticker sighting on Josh's back window, go Hokies! 😀
Hi Josh, I love irrigation work and find working with water to be very satisfying. I grew up on a hobby farm and had to learn to fix any water problems at a young age, everything from re-packing leather bucket seals to fixing broken irrigation spigots that got cut by the slasher or over for you the brush hog. I remember having to help my Dad braze a copper coin onto a pin hole in the galvanised suction line. Very interesting stuff. Take care, season greetings and merry Christmas Josh, love ya work Brother.
Hey Josh, I thoroughly enjoyed this video and me having my own channel and doing all my own filming I can appreciate actually how much extra work goes into producing a video like this…amazing work, kept me interested all the way through. You got so much done man. Really love the inclusion of the drone in some of the shots. Can’t wait till one day I get a drone, I’m sure our 90 acres will look amazing. I keep learning so much from you bud, gotta keep it going so I can be a pro like you someday. Cheers, Chad from up in Snowy Ontario.
Been using "Aquaseal" for about 35+ years (lol, brand new neoprene waders, stepped into a stump by the ankle...), still doesn't leak, well, there. Harhar. They even sell an accelerator to mix in, if ya need to get back in the river in an hour...
Merry Christmas! To you & the whole family.
Never fails with the "waders". They develop leaks in the most inconvenient spots! "BRRRR"
flex seal! lol
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer Hi Josh, Great to hear from You! Hope that You can find a GOOD WOMAN to run in double harness with? BLESSED BE! Batman

Cows are Funny. A pain in the Butt too sometimes..LOL..But there worth it...Great Video..
I think you are thinking, I am planning a cleaning and check in July or August. But it probably happened after that. The joy of farming.

Love em yoter trucks Josh. Their tuff little truscks. My only problem is being 6'3" I don't have much head room. My brother has a Tundra full size and I like it.
Nice manage of the H two OH Air Force doing a Navy Seal operation.

FROM SPARTANBURG S.C
Da cows lub u man and We do too! Lol!
Coming Josh use a pfd if you trip on waxers especially when low water temperature you can be in real trouble.
Hey there, Merry Christmas! Water problems are never fun but in cold weather, they’re miserable. At least you were ok until you got wet! Be safe, be merry!
I recently bought a small farm near Jacksonville, NC, and I’m just getting started. I’d love to come out sometime and take a tour of your operation at SRF.
at some point I'll open the farm up to the public....lol but you wont just be looking bhahhaha....we'll have a bit of a fun, educational work day...potentially a grazing school. go to stoneyridgefarmer.com and get on my mailing list
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer Oh, and I saw your video about your interest in flying. I will be flying there in my twin Comanche (N8666Y). I’d be happy to take you up.
H2Ohno. Good luck to you!

Have a Merry Christmas Josh!!
It Just Takes Patience And Our Good Lord Josh. Lonnie N. Clifton 111 From Boiling Spring Lakes N.C.
Merry Christmas Josh! 🎅
If you wrap that valve in old cloth it wont freeze and bust up.
Are you going Eventually bury your water lines under ground below the frost line and put shut off down there like Greg Judy
eventually a well will be drilled on this side of the farm
Hey Josh, Merry Christmas to you and Mrs. Stoney Ridge
Ken...there is no more Mrs SRF my friend...we are completely divorced now...unfortunately
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer shoot... sorry to hear that. Take care my friend and have a Merry Christmas
Do you think you still had some time to drag that tank over to where the cows are and use it up over there? I know you don’t like packing soil, but it was just an idea.
"Let me get to figuring here" :)
Merry Christmas
You must be strong as an ox! I have to heat the polypipe prior to inserting into a barbed fitting... 🤣
lol....takes a bit of hand strength for sure
Hey Josh
You got a heck of a lot done today!!
Have a Merry Christmas brother
Went to the woods today with the 460. Rancher. With that horrible wind I’ve got more trees down!
Joel would be proud. You’re getting there! Still think you need an Amish gal to help out! 🤣
almost need some big floater tire for the yoda
thanks for showing us whata going on love the content
You should get rid of the rust bucket dodge ram in piut the fuel tank tool box on the unicorn dodge ram
Love the video- why not just dig a well for your cattle instead of pond? Seems like a better source with less maintenance once installed?
yep...that's exactly what is going to happen...power company is coming out next week to price the well and building service
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer my wife and I talk constantly about trying to do what you did in starting a farm. You’re an inspiration sir!
The body harness if it is like the one I have has a buckle by the chest plate that makes getting it on and off a bit easier. Have you given any thought to drilling a hole about an inch down from the lip of the water tanks and then mount a hose fitting there and use that as your overflow by running a hose down to the creek, instead of letting it run out on the ground around the tank? It might reduce the mud around the tank. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Love the info
You look like you have been losing weight Josh. Happy New Year!!! Love the videos.
Them tanks are cool are you going to use the self filling float valve
not in winter as they will freeze up
Bad spot for cold water to seep in! Get you a squirt of silicone.
Nice
Josh, I have to know if you like that magnetic clip for the Rode wireless mic? Have you had any problems with it falling off? Great video btw. Merry Christmas to you and your family, and God Bless.
works great
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer Thanks for the reply
Flex Seal spray inside and out...what could it hurt?
Not the entire waders, but the groin area where the hole is. Could make for an interesting video all its own lol.
Doesn’t wading, in real cold water, make it so you can wear “skinny jeans”?
Are You a Virginia tech Hokie I saw the sticker on your truck?
He does have a college education and his dad live in VA and Josh's fsrm is right near the VA border so it's possible.
I went to UNC but many friends and family went to Tech
Duct tape that hole in your waders.
👍
Josh I like the tires on the Toyota. Are they Toyo, Nitto or what kind?
not a clue man....but I assure you they are nothing really fancy
@@StoneyRidgeFarmer I need a new set of tires and I like the way those look. If you have time to look to see I would appreciate it. Thanks
👌👌👌👌
Those Yota's are built like tanks . . .go watch Whistlin Diesels on youtube . . .he tried hard to destroy one....and failed.
What ever happened to your jeep
it will be back my brotha...it's in the shop in pieces...bigger shop will bring us all sorts of fun projects!
