Kylie Minogue and Metallica both won Grammys today

Back in 2004 both artist won grammys in their respected Best Dance recording and Best Metal performance catagory. 20 years later both artists won Grammys at yesterday ceremony.
But the stupid thing is, Its been over 30ish years since the Grammy for BEST METAL PERFORMANCE was given out during the Grammy telecast.
So many legends of Metal have won Grammys such as: Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Tool, Ozzy, Black Sabbath, Nine inch Nails, Soundgarden etc. But there are so many legendary European Hard Rock/Metal bands who never nominated. Like Def Leppard, Scorpions, Krokus.
Legendary metal acts like Anthrax, Queensryche, Suicidal tendancies, Death Angel and King Diamond have been nominated in the past.
But Metallica has won BEST METAL PERFORMANCE 7 times in their career.
Kylie Mingoue has hardly had any American sucess in her career. About a few top 40 hits. But they gave her a Grammy over Madonna and Cher.
Dream Theater only had one top 10 rock hit and one GOLD certified Album. But they were awarded a Grammy for 10 minute song that made no impact on the charts.
