I had been facing rejections for a few jobs in the past. Maybe when my next interviewer makes it obvious that I'm not gonna be hired, I will try this strategy hahahaha Too funny!
If they don't want to hire you they say, "thanks for coming, we'll call you soon," is often a polite and easy way to get the person out of the building. I bet that person never got called back.
i wonder how far it is from an actual very bad interview. i've interviewed very bad candidates before, but nothing quite as bad... anybody in here has had an experience that was almost as bad as this?
this is one of the funniest things i have ever seen! i was studying for interview questions because i had an interview coming up and i stumbled across this. couldnt stop thinking of it all through my interview!
One day my boss during a pay rise meeting said that he didn't see me in the office at 8am when he arrived. I replied that I didn't see him in his office at 11 pm when I left !
First thing I noticed is why would the guy interviewing have his office telephone facing the wrong way round to him sitting. Didn't think of that one haha.
)))) THIS man has one very important feature: he reacts on the situation and is careful. can u find enough people in service like that? he reacts untypically ))) but lively
"Ok.. fine. There's room for negotiation there." The interviewer's face after that LOL!!!!!! Gets me every time. The interviewer was obviously too nice to stretch this interview to 17 minutes.
I don't know why he didn't kick him out before 17 minutes. He arrived late without notice, which will cause most jobs to not to the interview. There will be plenty of other candidates who can dress smart and formal and arrive on time.
I'm wondering why he even invited him for the interview in the first place given that his resume was extremely out of date, and the fact that his previous *nine* jobs all lasted a couple months or so lol
+Nate L Thanks Nate. We REALLY enjoyed doing it. Half way through Angelo's wife ACTUALLY called and we tried to incorporate it into the video but we just fell about laughing. Graham
I didn't...we had to re-shoot it several times...esp when we got to the bit about the pen/pencil sales process...I kept giggling! Graham ...and in an earlier version, Angelo's wife actually DID call him in the middle of filming...Angelo kept going but I just fell about!
Do love this it really highlights the no nos for job interviews while doing it in a much more comical way than some similar videos I've seen on youtube, classic u should do a similar style one with this guy about no nos in the actual job
You know what, it was hilarious..we should have kept the outtakes! Amazingly his wife ACTUALLY did call in the middle of a take...we tried to add lib but we just fell about!
Hi Leon, glad you enjoyed it...the humour is a great way of illustrating serious points. Graham ps hope it didn't put you off your stride in the interview!!
Wow. And I thought my interviews were terrible. This makes me feel a lot better. Although I have to wonder how he got any jobs in the first place. Did he get hired just to make the office space more interesting? XD
Lol totally awesome! Been on a few interviews lately and this takes the edge off. Incidentally, some of the questions Tommy asks are what I wish I could ask. :p
This was really good, as it points out key problems where some interviews turn sour. I mean some are really obvious, some not so. It would be really surprising if someone got a full house and done everything wrong in this video in an actual video, but then again nothing is impossible when it comes to interviewing. Would be interesting if you did a "The Best Interview Ever" with the same actor, as that could be useful too.
My phone also rang during an interview... omg that was so horrible. I was so excited about the job that I literally forgot to turn it off.... never gonna happen again.
that's nothing. the last time i had an interview, my phone went off because i got a text. fifteen seconds later, the interviewer's phone went off and ten seconds later, the other interviewer's phone went off. it was hilarious.
Ah, yes...well spotted! I knew that I'd been 'in shot' as soon as I moved the CV but was un-inclined to re-take it because apart from that I think we nailed it. Graham
This is really very funny i like it . i was worried about my job interview tomorrow but when i saw this i thought anything i might do other than this is great haha . Thank you
my job was to listen to customers but if they complained i'd put them on hold n another line , i only talked to people who listened then i began my sales pitch, my boss was amazed at how many sales i made on a complaint line.
Totally baffling attitude towards recruitment in the UK. More emphasis seems to be put on passing hypothetical stages of the recruitment process, being nice and superficial, rather than doing the actual job. The recruitment process is more often than not, unusually miles away from the specifics of the actual job. Recruitment agents seldom have a grasp of the actual role. There are plenty of agents who want to sit in the middle and pass the CV on without a shred of a clue in their minds as to actual job. You've got to ask, WTF? There's a culture in the UK of dragging heels and putting stuff off as much as possible. Attitude seems endemic to UK compared to a number of other progressive nations in the world.
That's sadly V true Skylark. Baffles me too, even after 28 years! My team actually visit the client and often spend a few hours watching the job being done & engaging with the incumbent. Makes a real difference.
Hi there your web series has been really helpful for me, could i make a suggestion? it might be good for you to do a video similar to this but showing good interview technique perhaps illustrating points you've raised in other videos.
Its OK I did very well and listened on your advice. I have prepared like mad and managed to get a good response in my interview thank you for your video`s they really helped :).
Lol what do you do when your boss was literally a scam artist who cheated the government out of thousands of pounds, and that's why you left the company? I'm not allowed to say the real reason why I left because then I'm slagging off my boss.
omg the acting is damn good. both of them deserve an oscar.
This guy still has more charisma than I do
"i asked my mum but she didn't know" - priceless!
Thanks Ben, it was great fun to do...
"You do stationary as well? Spot on, excellent!" lol perfect line.
Stationery*
The phone demonstration of how to deal with complaints was so hilarious!!!!!!
Actually, this is a great video to watch when you feel you've had a bad interview. "At least I wasn't That Guy..." XD
Exactly lol
I had been facing rejections for a few jobs in the past. Maybe when my next interviewer makes it obvious that I'm not gonna be hired, I will try this strategy hahahaha Too funny!
If they don't want to hire you they say, "thanks for coming, we'll call you soon," is often a polite and easy way to get the person out of the building. I bet that person never got called back.
wow, i was solidly entertained for 17 minutes. easily one of the best 'bad interview' skits around.
This is brilliant 😂 This should be a scene in a movie or show!
😂🤣 I would hire this guy so much charisma and tells the truth!!
And I can finally say this. It took me 6 years, but I FINALLY found this video.
i wonder how far it is from an actual very bad interview. i've interviewed very bad candidates before, but nothing quite as bad... anybody in here has had an experience that was almost as bad as this?
Hi Graham, You just can't make this up and this is NOT the way to prepare for an interview EVER!! Thank you for sharing
LOL fantastic! You covered a great deal there!
Thanks
John
I've got a job interview tomorrow
lol and I am watching 👀 this is definitely keeping me calm lol
Same thing with me when I first watched it in 2014 lol
Great! acting you'll both deserved an Oscar Award...LOL
Can employers see your employment history?
S L1 yes they can, they can research it, google it, they will find out if they want to find out
this is one of the funniest things i have ever seen! i was studying for interview questions because i had an interview coming up and i stumbled across this. couldnt stop thinking of it all through my interview!
Great stuff! This offers anyone enquiring into this area how NOT to perform in an interview, but the complete opposite. Keep up the good work Graham!
One day my boss during a pay rise meeting said that he didn't see me in the office at 8am when he arrived. I replied that I didn't see him in his office at 11 pm when I left !
Remember to just gently hang up on customers instead of slamming the phone lol great stuff
Only ingrates complain. Tell him that.
7:42 "I'm the king of complaints" LOL!
I don't know how he can be, with him deciding to hang up on them.
I'd actually hire this fella just to prank everyone that's working on the same team, and I'll sit back and see how everything turns out
First thing I noticed is why would the guy interviewing have his office telephone facing the wrong way round to him sitting. Didn't think of that one haha.
)))) THIS man has one very important feature: he reacts on the situation and is careful.
can u find enough people in service like that?
he reacts untypically ))) but lively
If there is such a thing as "too good to be true" this was just "too bad to be true". Awesome acting, LoL through the whole vid...
Oh you are wrong man
"Ok..

LinkedOn????
Yes, LinkedOn!
loooooool, this guy had me at this point
pay attention to 4:07, that's just plainly hilarious
great video... as an interviewer, i would say you were more patient than i expected.
I lost it when he flung he tie on the desk and "... shall I put on?".
Absolutely brilliant!
Well, this absolutely ridiculous. I pretend that I've a sense of humor but this is... Not real.Is that even possible to happand?
Haha Linkin Park ring tone !
That was so good! Good acting and the lines were great. Thank you both.
+Nate L Thanks Nate. We REALLY enjoyed doing it. Half way through Angelo's wife ACTUALLY called and we tried to incorporate it into the video but we just fell about laughing. Graham
I started laughing when the interviewer walked in and his face was like what the hell did I walk into😂
is graham thinking "this guy doesn't really think he has chance of getting a job here does he ?".
Actually, he is a trained actor...! Thanks for your comment!
I didn't...we had to re-shoot it several times...esp when we got to the bit about the pen/pencil sales process...I kept giggling! Graham ...and in an earlier version, Angelo's wife actually DID call him in the middle of filming...Angelo kept going but I just fell about!
Right after this video I got a linked in ad
This is soo funny. I hope nobody else's interviews goes like this.
How did this guy even get an interview? :P
Brilliant acting, I loved it.
Thanks, it was fun..:-)
Do love this it really highlights the no nos for job interviews while doing it in a much more comical way than some similar videos I've seen on youtube, classic u should do a similar style one with this guy about no nos in the actual job
Exactly. This is definitely up there with the "hidden scientist" guy as one of my favourite interview skits!
You know what, it was hilarious..we should have kept the outtakes! Amazingly his wife ACTUALLY did call in the middle of a take...we tried to add lib but we just fell about!
sounds like kramer from seinfeld... no wonder kramer is constantly unemployed
Hi Leon, glad you enjoyed it...the humour is a great way of illustrating serious points. Graham ps hope it didn't put you off your stride in the interview!!
I find these so hilarious! And they also teach you a lot, like what not to say.
01:25interviewer realizes that the interviewee's CV is sitting next to him....he moves it away while the interviewee is talking about his shirt.
Wow. And I thought my interviews were terrible. This makes me feel a lot better. Although I have to wonder how he got any jobs in the first place. Did he get hired just to make the office space more interesting? XD
por22ito It was a spoof interview...Angelo is an amateur actor
TheRecruitmentGuy Yes, clearly this was satire. But realistically, he would have never gotten any jobs if his interviews were like this.
It was very well-done, though. Made me laugh (and cringe) a lot. 10/10.
How did you get through this without laughing? Very funny indeed. Thanks.
Made me laugh. i thought some of my interviews in the past were bad I have an interview tomorrow and this is making me feel much better!
+Lucie Wakeford
I always over analyze interviews lol
Very good informative and funny video :) Amazing you kept straight faces!
It's like a comedy movie lol
Interview At 5:00
Sales Roles
Let me know..hope you prepare fully :-)
That's Angelo...CRAZY...but it was fun too!
This was hilarious! Had that same uncomfortable feeling I had while watching the movie "Trains, Planes, and Automobiles".
The only reason I'd continue is a morbid fascination.
Today
Packed
Lol totally awesome! Been on a few interviews lately and this takes the edge off. Incidentally, some of the questions Tommy asks are what I wish I could ask. :p
He wouldn't have gone past 5 mins 😂
This was really good, as it points out key problems where some interviews turn sour. I mean some are really obvious, some not so. That's something you should do when you are on your way to the interview so you don't forget.
this is legend
i had watched this in 2012..still is funny.. please don' delete it
A nice video for us all to watch so we can realize that no matter how bad we screw up an interview, we will never be as bad as that xD
Mark G.
I want to be like that Guy lol
@@SuperPoshposh oqw
The guy on the right is killing it.
It was hilarious to film...
Oh, sorry Jordan...missed you. As always, prepare like mad! Take questions & notes with you. Graham
Well it must have worked good for the guy, he already had a desk with a phone (on his side of the desk). 😂😂😂
Ah, yes...well spotted! I knew that I'd been 'in shot' as soon as I moved the CV but was un-inclined to re-take it because apart from that I think we nailed it. Graham
Ya wear a Spur shirt for an interview haha
Loll😂😂 that was a gangster interview.
This is really very funny i like it . i was worried about my job interview tomorrow but when i saw this i thought anything i might do other than this is great haha . Thank you
ALMASSHINE Glad you like it...how did it go?
TheRecruitmentGuy great ! actually , I started work yesterday . Thank you very much...

my job was to listen to customers but if they complained i'd put them on hold n another line , i only talked to people who listened then i began my sales pitch, my boss was amazed at how many sales i made on a complaint line.

Great video. Very funny.
In 1:31 did you place his CV on the table which he picked up later? :)

I am surprised you kept a straight face!
I have an Interview on Tuesday for the Army Preparation, is it possible you could give me any helpful advice?.
On the plus side, he'd have stood out from the others. Brilliant video.
That looks normal concidering the fact that he is wearing a spurs shirt :D
That's not the way to go to a job interview. With it being a formal business meeting, you need to go there dressed in smart and formal clothes.
@@martyndavies5551 really? I had no idea. Thanks for the tip.
This is brilliant :))) hire him
great job on making it bad interview was so good it was just painful to watch xD
))))) another plus is that he is very sincere. do u like lying workers?
