I'm not sick of the raindrops but I've been playing with different shapes. No reason to be locked into doing circles. I've been doing swirls and different patterns. There is no end to how you can play with this technique. ❤

I made the water droplette froggie. It was so much fun. I used a needle tipped bottle with some UV resin in it to make tiny drops. It worked great. I saw Daniel Cooper put a black rubber glove finger on the needle nose bottle so the UV resin has no chance to cure in th e bottle.

Since it’s new it will be like that. There are hydrocarbons from petroleum & natural gas. Basically it makes the silicone a little oily when brand new. If you clean the surface with a little alcohol, it should prep the surface to use those paint pens on it.
Love how the leaf turned out! At the beginning of the video I was thinking that would look cool with a "bend" to the leaf for the frog to sit on and then you said next time your doing a curve to it! ❤ I've gota raindrop frog finished that's looking for a home. I think this mold would finish it perfectly.

It turned out so pretty! The color shifts are gorgeous together and I love all the raindrops. I’m not at all sick of the raindrop technique yet. I’m not on other platforms so, I’ve just seen it done by a few artists here on YT. I haven’t played with UV much either, in fact.. it took me 2 frustrating hours to find my UV resin yesterday.😂 I had really tucked it away. My studio space is in limbo at the moment so, I’ve got a LOT very full of bins!😆 You know how that feels.😊 I’ll get it sorted eventually. Thanks for another great video Julie, I always look forward to watching them.

I love this gorgeous monstera leaf, and your resin videos. I’ve been having a tough go getting started with resin, so ordered a degassed which just came in yesterday - now I’ve got to gather the courage to try it again.
That came out beautiful. I like it without any edging. Would be overkill I think. Came out great. Got the same pens off Amazon. You’re the raindrop queen. ❤ your videos. Inspiring.
Julie I had to let you know after watching this video I had to have a go it came out so good I’m soooo pleased with it I would love you too see it also on my newt instead of putting the uv resin inside the mould I dabbed it on the finished newt that came out really good too

I cure the "underside" of the rain drops at the very end before unmolding so they remain sticky, otherwise they seem to pop off easy if completely cured.

This turned out so pretty. I wonder if you could have left the marker off until after you let the black resin cure. Then once you flip it over use the marker on it? I wonder which way would be harder. I love this. The raindrops look so real
