Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives is the sixth sequel to the original Friday the 13th. It was directed by Tom McLoughlin and stars C.J. Graham as Jason Voorhees.
Years ago, Tommy Jarvis (Thom Mathews) killed infamous hockey-masked murderer Jason Voorhees (C.J. Graham), and the intensity of the experience has landed him in a mental institution. To end his torment and achieve a level of closure, Tommy escapes from the hospital and heads to the graveyard where Jason is buried, intending to dig up the body and cremate it. But, before this total annihilation can occur, a freak electrical accident resurrects Jason from the dead, and the terror begins anew.

The moment Jason aggressively walked into the lake to get Tommy Jarvis is just so badass. Like, the intense buildup and music created a cool ass tension that showed that Jason had beef with Tommy that spans movies back, it's such a powerful scene that I hold so close to heart. Jason will always be my favorite slasher, ever since growing up I loved him.

Jason came off as more of a mindless killing machine in this movie. There are moments when he displays curiousity but other than that there's really no emotion in his body movements and ofc you can't see his face. Jason was already halfway in the lake when Megan shouted for Tommy and as soon as he heard her he was ready to turn back to finish the job.
Those kids were scared shitless of Jason and he wasn’t even coming after them, and absolutely loved how Tommy was concerned for Megan’s safety and how fascinated the kids are about seeing this massive supernatural behemoth in a hockey mask square off against this random guy they’ve never met lol

First time I saw this I didn't realize he just wanted to scare the kids because it was a trap to catch the girl.

Jason is one of the dumbest low IQ horror slashers of all time. He broke in thinking there was a councilor inside. When he saw there was only kids like the simp he was he busted out when he saw the girl running up. It was no trap.

I always like to believe that the longer he became a zombie, the slower he moves. Especially when comparing him in Freddy vs. Jason where his movements were stiff, slow and awkward.

From a medium runner from part2 to part 4 to a slow walker since part 6 and all the way to FvJ including Jason X and then to an extremely faster sprinting Part 12 or Reboot or 2009 Jason.
The slower he got, the stronger. In FvJ, he kicked that girl at a tree and broke her back, his aim with the framing machete was on point. He is great with a spear gun, bow and arrow, knife throwing, machete throwing etc. In this film, he has a janitor uniform with pockets full of weapons. He seems more skilled such as in the van when he slits the guys throat. You never see any of that in the other films. I like all the film versions even if I do not really like the film itself. If it was any other film franchise I'd switch off but I like Jason Voorhees as a character. The first one was not my cup of tea and the 4th one was okay but 9 did not really have Jason Voorhees except the cool bit at the beginning. I preferred the others as Jason gained different abilities and appearances in each film. I also liked Imposter Jason but think he should have used drugs from ambulance such as morphine to heal himself and to stop pain for a limited time. It would have made him different to Jason who just bears the pain

Honesty the way Jason walked towards Tommy into the line he legit looked menacing and badass as fuck, his hands clenched into a fist with the heavy footsteps each time he stomped on the ground he was fucking angry as hell at Tommy like holy shit
Jason wanted payback for what Tommy did. One of the best horror rivalries.
Fun fact: the guy who plays Jason was originally going to reprise his role in part 7 but the director wanted Kane hodder, whom he worked with before. He was devastated about it but after watching part 7 and seeing how everyone loved Kane they became good friends. He was later asked to play Jason in Freddy vs Jason but turned it down because he didn’t wanna disrespect Kane. The role went to kane’s stunt double, whom Kane worked with in part 8.

The stuntdoubke was 6'5 and was in Jason Takes Manhattan as the tall chef who gets thrown by Jason. Same height as the guy from the reboot.

Small detail that I love about Jason Lives is that when Jason grabs Megan's head before Tommy distracts him, we just saw him crush a cop's head in the exact same manner a few minutes ago, so we really believe that Megan could die in this moment.
Jason can kill someone with just his bare hands. Either by punching them or crushing them.

Before this Tommy tells Megan to stay with the kids. When she hears them screaming she goes to save them/sacrifice herself and Tommy yells at her not to. Did Tommy want Jason to go after the children? I don't think Jason would kill a child as he could have killed the blonde girl multiple times but didn't. Jason more than likely busted in the kid's cabin to lure either Megan and Tommy to their deaths. LOL at the girl at 0:40 poking her head out, determined to get that check that extras make.
I was assuming at first Tommy wanted Megan to make sure the kids are safe in the cabin and doesn't go anywhere, but when he hears Jason is already there, he changes his mind because he thinks its too late for the kids. I don't know, that's what I'm thinking

The camp counselor training center, Packanack Lodge, across the lake isn't doing a very good job training their counselors on how to teach survival skills in the forest as 9 of my bunk-mates are dead.

Working with Thom on a film, I asked how it was working with Jennifer Cooke, as she was eye candy in this film. He mentioned she was very asexual, she didn’t even want to rehearse the kissing scene to make sure it was believable. Lol

@@youngkokii1995 No, it was just amateur, it had only a $500,000 budget which is really low for a horror movie, Part 2 definitely expanded on what Part 1 made and since Part 2 had a larger budget it improved on kills and what-not, even without Tom Savini.
