Mike Rushing Now this is where I find it impossible , I'm so anal about removing the ISO , I cook it off for hours until no surface bubbles keeping it at 110 degrees , then to make doubly sure I remove ISO , I put it on the coffee cup warmer overnight (at least 8 hours), always the same if I take a bit on a paper clip it just sets on fire , no sparks .

Its Important to say start with a very small dosage and work your way up otherwise you will be going on the trip of a lifetime.
You don't need to let it soak for 45 minutes All you're doing there is getting out the chlorophyll which is not necessary So can for 4-5 minutes is all you need

Wrong. Cooking it in a double boiler at a low temp is not hot enough to decarb.
That's what I was thinking,With out the decarb process this is useless, It is not going too work too its full potential as a medicine, unless you decarb, Turning THC A into THC, I still use the oven, lol, But I am really thinking of buying one of those nova things tho.................
i haven't watched this video fully, but the original RSO recipe if done correctly decarbs from the cooking i believe. if u want to be extra safe, put it in the oven first but don't cook off ur thc.

There's no point in freezing your alcohol first with RSO. RSO is a whole extraction done at room temperature, on purpose, to gather a broad spectrum of canabinoids. This guy goofed up and mixed his procedures and the word grounded. See, if you wanted a cleaner extraction, nicer, clear, amber colored end product, you'd start by drying your plant material out. Not 100% dry but close. And then you'd freeze your jars and your plants as cold as you could. 0°F or colder. Your alcohol too, cold as you could get it. You'd do a quick wash of your plant material, straining into multiple waiting jars, prepped with coffee filters. You'd do the straining as fast as possible to keep the solution as cold as possible. You'd wear gloves to keep your hands from warming up the jars too fast. Why do we want it cold? Because the small amount of remaining moisture in the plant is going to crystalize with the cold and lock the chlorophyll up within the cells of the plant. It will limit the amount of green color in your end product. This is also why the cheese cloth and hand squeezing are out. You want to place something in the jar on top of the plant material that you can push down with a dowel, squeezing the rest of the liquid out that way. This is quicker than what this guy did. Yes, there will still be some lost alcohol in the plant material. It's ok.
Consolidate your jars, rinse empties with clean alcohol and add them to the main jar. Evaporate alcohol thoroughly. Enjoy.
I have Fibromyalgia. I was on the full gammit of pain killers, pills, pills and more pills. I got off the merry go round. Stopped ALL of that and switched to making/taking RSO. Lifesaver to the hilt. I can do a small dab on a cookie (on an empty stomach makes it hit faster) - completely freeing me from pain. Why didn’t I get this option 20 years ago?
THC in general really does seem to be a wonder drug for Fibromyalgia for a lot of people. My MIL suffers from it and the only thing that helps are the cookies I bake her - although I tend to use solventless extractions rather than RSO.

Sadly the government was trying to leach you till you couldn't pay them any more then you would some how have had a life threatening illness by coincidence. Luckily GOD showed you another way. Using the medicine he provided us. I'm happy for you.

I am a member of Rick's Phoenix Tears from Nova Scotia, Canada....and I found a new cooking method that is much more precise when it comes to cooking temperature. I use an induction cooker (just a small portable stove-top cooker) which has precise digital thermostatic control over the entire cooking period. I set the temp at 248oF and at the end of the cooking time (about 35 mins) I turn the temp down to about 100-150oF to cook-off the remaining solvent. There is no need to switch to a small metal cup or other similar container for the final solvent release. The oil this method produces is top-notch. I'm so happy when I see the comments from around the world about the incredible medical efficacy of this wondrous extract. It works miracles...and not only for cancer.

For people asking if he needs to decarb first, or saying hes doing it wrong. No he is not. As long as he is reaching the decarb temperature in the rice cooker, then it will work fine. I have done this in 2015 before and made it by straight cooking it at the right temp, and my stuff turned out potent as hell. You also don't need to freeze it . I used coffee filters for mine which are a lot more fine than a cheese cloth, so it took a long time to filter it all out , and there was a lot of resin still stuck in the filters. So my product was very clean, but a lot was wasted. With this way, you will get a lot of impurities in the oil but a lot more product and it probably will still be potent

I've heard this really helps people with Colo-rectal cancer when used as a suppository as well. I'm definitely looking to make this for my entire family as medicine to have on hand, no matter what the ailment. Like most of the amazing plants God created, it seems to aid in helping people with differing ailments. And seems to do great measure with most. Rick simpson dies it a bit different..one thing he says is to add about 10 drops of water near the end to help release the last bit of alcohol. His websites is worth checking out.

My dad was healed by this. He was on a liver transplant list and started taking this and is off the list. This was years ago, hes still alive. He does however have to continue to take it on occasion when he starts getting symptoms again.

Trife Life How are you using coconut oil? I use it to dilute the finished RSO. It’s easier to fill capsules or whatever when you melt the RSO into some coconut oil.

Had one more question there’s another gentleman on UA-cam that I have been following for a while he says that no matter what you do you’ll never be able to get all the isopropyl alcohol out and that it is toxic to consume yet I’ve seen a whole lot of people make it with isopropyl alcohol rather than ethanol/grain alcohol which is why I went out and bought 99% isopropyl alcohol.
Am I OK following your steps to get a consumable product at the end?

I live in Northern Cali. I am a home grower and I have been making all of my own products. With the outrageous prices at the dispensaries here. I had no choice than to start making all my own stuff. I started taking RSO to help with coming off of a 7 year addiction to pain killers and it worked wonderfully. I can now take them as prescribed if given them after a medical procedure. I prefer not to though. I started making the RSO myself about a year ago just so I could start taking it daily as a substitute to sugary edibles that I make too. 6 months ago I had my plantar fasciitis come back after 7 years. The first time around it took about 4-6 months to go away and 100's of dollars in stupid stuff to try and alleviate some of the pain. Guess what? This time I started rubbing RSO directly on where it was hurting on the bottom of my foot twice a day once in the morning and once when I got home from work. Once it absorbed into my skin it immediately took the edge off of the pain every time I applied it. Now for the amazing part! The plantar fasciitis went away in 3 weeks with less than a 3 gram syringe. Not 100's of dollars in bullshit this time. I now use it for all body aches and body pain. Right now I have had a torn rotator cuff since late March waiting for surgery very painful. I have been putting a generous amount on my shoulder where the pain is twice a day and the pain is tolerable I'm able to tend to my cannabis garden and my vegetables and move stuff around without severe pain. This shit is the real deal!! It is healing people naturally without the harmful side affects that pharmaceuticals almost always come with. If you are looking for a care giver in the San Francisco Bay Area that isn't going to tax the shit out of you to help you get well. I do a lot of bartering since selling if you are not a dispensary in Cali is illegal. Also as of this year you can no longer purchase in stores the 99.9% iso, or any alcohol or spirits over 150 proof. Those are the main things that you need to make this amazing healing oil. @@sparkyh62 what I make the THC is activated so you get the effects of it when you put it on your skin through absorption. You can make it where it isn’t activated. I’m not sure what that application goes for pain.
Can leaves be used for tincture? I have bunch if dried leaves.
@@sparkyh62 yes any part of the plant can be used for extraction, but remember that the Tri home production doesn’t happen until flower. My pre flower defoliation goes into the compost pile. After flower I would keep snd use for extraction.
Since castor oil is used in compresses for deep skin penetration, and is anti-cancer, could a person add the rso to a little of that, would you think?
if you let the filtered solution sit in bright sunlight for 2 hours before boiling it it makes the chlorophyll break down and a even cleaner product. gunna hear alot of people saying "that will make the thc less active as it decomposes in sunlight" blah blah blah. you know nothing about the rates of the decomposition of thc in sunlight. it will not degrade much. atleast not a noticable amount unless you do this for weeks and weeks by the windowsill on end. the chlorophyll however is extremely sensitive to sunlight (obviously). and will break down into carbon dioxide, water, oxygen in a very short space of time. the pros out weigh the cons. try it and tell me I'm wrong! ps: finish with a vacuum purge oven if possible

This guy does it wrong it’s a waste of weed you need to decarboxylate it first in the oven for 25 minutes at 250° in a covered pan let it cool uncover it then follow these steps You won’t get near the potency you should with the way this guy does it when he cooks it in the crockpot at the end it does not get high enough in temperature to fully Decarb it Making it way less potent a total waste of cannabis if you’re going to do something do it right

Trust me I know from experience and decarbing it first won’t hurt it in anyway. it’s a good way to make sure you get it fully decarboxylated first. otherwise the THCA (tetrahydrocannabinol acid) won’t convert to THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). again trust me. I know this from years of experience. If you don’t convert it fully. you won’t get the psychoactive effects out of it. Now making this without decarbing it first. can have its purposes too. Some people might want the benefits of it without converting it first. So that way they can get the cannabinoids out of it. without the psychoactive effects. But if you want to extract the fullest amount of THC possible. decarboxylating it first will assure you get the fullest amount possible. Again I know what I’m talking about from experience. I’ve been at this game longer then the amount of years you’ve been alive!!!
Probably not spelled correctly but don’t you have to decarboxylate your medicine first? I have been making this medicine since the mid-70s. I have always used 190 Proof Everclear.

I do mine different. I decarb my weed first. And i use sunlight to evaporate the alchohol.

you should put your oil in a dosing syringe while it's still runny, will make for A LOT better handling and dosing.
Naah man... your end product isnt good i am sorry... you made the huge mistake and just let it sit in the jar with the alcohol, no movement and way longer than 30 seconds. everything above 30 seconds is bad for the quality...
I use RSO to control my seizures. I recently bought both a water distiller and induction stove. I'm not sure how much isso I'll recuperate but it has to be better than shilling out an extra $50 a month. Additionally less alcohol fumes should be produced. I like to pour my almost finished oil into an oven safe dish and bake it at 220 for 3 hours. It purges the remaining alcohol (you can actually see bubbles forming in the oil. When it stops all the booze is gone) and fully decarboxylates the oil for oral consumption.
It's probably best to use ethanol rather than iso.
Though I have used iso in the past to make oil.

@@cheeseburgerkid1329Your water distiller, you can actually use it to run an alcoholic mash through it and it works. Just got to be sure to dispose of the first part of the distillation (methanol) and the last part (other alcohols like amyl and butyl etc). After you've distilled all the alcohols there would be a pause in stuff coming out of the distiller while it heats up more and then you would get the water from the mash. I know its a bit of messing about but if you ferment some sugar water with champagne yeast and then distil it, you will have some low cost alcohol. Run the distilate through it a second time and you start getting a much stronger percentage of ethanol.
The thing with iso is in the body it turns into acetone (iirc) and so you don't want to be ingesting it regularly.
Another option is to just make cannabutter using coconut oil, which will be perfect for what you use cannabis for. No need for any solvents when you make cannabutter.
100% 200 proof that's funny you only get to 96% from distillation. Would recommend a better understanding of physics and chemistry before making content like this. So you don't end up looking illiterate like this one.
why should the alcohol be frozen before using?
I think it's to ensure the trichomes are not sticky and you get everything in the liquid
I can't believe that's all you get from that much weed, how is it so cheap at some medical dispensaries? I bought RSO from the dispo and I barely felt it. And used 8x the recommended dose. Yrs ago I had syringes of Phoenix tears, I should've saved them for future use.
Cheese cloth or coffee filters are VERY absorbent, so if you get them wet and ring them out you wont lose any " medicine " in the filters. CHEERS !!!

You can probably use cold brew mason jar filters, the metal ones, put the ground bud in there in the filter within the mason jar and cover with alcohol like you would do with making cold brew. Then pull the filter out when done steeping no extra filtration needed.

5:15 at this stage Rick Simpson says add a little water. As it boils off at a higher temp than the alcohol you can be sure there is no residual alcohol left once the water has boiled off. Also if you just put straight RSO in a cap it won't be as effective as it is when mixed with some Coco oil. 100mg RSO in a cap won't do as much as 100mg RSO mixed with 200mg Coco oil in a capsule, Organic virgin cold pressed oil is the way to go 👌

Not sure it's any less beneficial taking rso straight , I just put mine into a capsule , the capsules weight is 0.14gm and I add the oil to bring it up to 0.65gm , I take two of these capsules twice a day in suppository form because I don't like feeling stoned , I don't feel any effects taking it this way , but as soon as I have a capsule orally I'm smashed for many hours which isn't my thing .
Can you tell me what benefit I would get from adding coconut oil or any of the other oils to the pure oil , thank you .
@@zzz8596 Adding oli's help your body absorb more of the THC, so if you don't like getting smashed probably best you don't do it
@Heer Dagga If so, aplying the coconut oil to better consumpiton of it, wouldn't it be better to aply the technique of directly infusing the marijuana into the coconut oil? There are recipies to to it directly.

Great tutorial, but how do you get all of it out of the jar?
If you use glass vials...you can twist a wire around it....apply heat under the vial....once it starts smoking use a straw & suck up the smoke. OR as posted below; freeze it & scrape it out.

don't let the alcohol evaporate - recover it! put a bowl on the jar and a cup or glass the right size in the middle and the alcohol should drop in the jar
I've made this but without putting it in the freezer. What is the purpose of putting it on the freezer? I also use mostly leaf. Not the large ones but the smaller ones, closest to the buds. They have a lot of crystals on them.....for anyone who grows their own. Also, you can often buy 'shake' for much less and it works just as well. Less grinding to do, too!
Cold let's you get the good stuff out better. grind up all of your leaves with the flowers it gives you a little more spectrum.

Capsules? 1 or 2 gram Syringes are by far the easiest and cleanest. Capsules are super messy and expensive.
You dont need to blend the bud, the oil will break down in seconds anyway.
My dad had skin cancer on his scalp. He was about to do chemo as the doctor recommended but I stopped him. I applied this oil to his scalp for 3 weeks and the cancer completely disappeared. @@dalethyahusha8370 yes apply it topically and wrap the effected area with saran wrap. Leave it on. When you shower, wash it off and reapply after shower. Keep doing it until it disappears. It will disappear within a few weeks. My dad's affected area was really bad and it went away. So if it's a small area I'm sure it will work quicker and more efficiently.

you have to use at least like 5 grams of herb to get one gram of rso, but such small amounts are hard to work with , use at least 28 grams to make a about 5 or 6 grams

One big question I have unanswered is does the herb not have to be de-carbed in the oven first? I did that with the butter I made recently and it was insanely potent, but because you didn’t list that step here I didn’t do it with the RSO I’m making. So what’s the deal with that? I use a distiller & ALWAYS distill OUTSIDE on my deck. I use a lot more ETOH. Some use naphthalene which consists of a benzene ring, 6 carbon ring, aromatic ring which causes cancer thus my use of pure grain. My pure grain has a liquor seal; one can drink it. All ETOH can or could be bad for one's health. My procedure: I soak whatever in a lot of ETOH in freezer. Mash up whatever a lot, put in freezer for about an hour, strain with a paint mesh. It has elastic around it & can be used on a large container. Reserved liquid can be strained again with cheesecloth or coffee filter. I end up with about 2 quarts of mixture. Pour into distiller...takes a couple of hours....but keep an eye on the last 1/4....it distills quickly. Then I pour liquid in a small metal cup (birdcage cup) & put on a hot plate set on warm. Put 10 drops of H2O into this cap with mix. Supposedly, it should be ready when no more bubbling....if not, keep on hotplate until desired consistency. I put into tiny bottles/vials with caps. BUT I allow it to sit out to have all the ETOH evaporate for a couple of days...then screw on caps & put in 'fridge.

I've got jars full of everclear that was used to rinse squish bags and clean tool. It's black as tar and has about 3/4 " inch of sediment. My question is can this be made into decent rso? I was going to get a distilling unit to seperate the alcohol.

i cant believe this whole time ive been growing an smoking i didnt even realize just how easy this is an how cheap an how excellent the product comes out. i have 4 pounds of seeded weed cuz i live next to a hemp farm an this summer all the pollen hit my beautiful girls. so i have tons of un desirable seeded bud. an i cant afford to blast it with butane or rosin tech. an i always heard of rick simpson oil. my friends dad was takin capsules for cancer. so i go i wonder how they make that rso oil. an guys its so easy. i originally watched another video were the guy did a really fast run the first time an it came out like blond shatter. the longer u let the weed soke the darker oil u will have. totally worth it. they recommend ever clear grain alcohol or 99%proof isopropyl alcohol. but guys im on a budget an in my experience u have to order that 99% alcohol so i went to dollar g got 91% alcohol 3$ coffee filters 1.50$. it litterally cost me under 5 dollars to make up to 7 grams of this oil. so happy to have have learned it i strongly recommend people using this method for dabs.
Nice to hear from you. Yes, totally agree with you that eating RSO is a healthier method compared to smoke or vape it. It's definitely not hard to make. With common house appliances and some items you can pick up from the grocery store, you can make pure and healthy RSO for ailments. Glad to hear this video helps you on your RSO making process.
Best to use grain over iso! Yeah it’s more $ & you have to order online so there’s a wait but it’s worth it! For one exampke ISO has a ton of crap in it where grain is pure....that’s 1 reason why it’s 3$ or so at stores!
You can easily take a lot of seeds out because seed oil goes bad
I do what you did and I add it to my butter for stronger cookies or brownies.
I’ve used 91% in a pinch. It works ok but seemed to make the end product gummy. I guess from the extra water.
It is a GREAT use for less than top shelf home grown!

Hi Mark , sorry I can't give you results just yet , but I've been taking about a gram a day in a capsule by suppository , I have prostrate cancer and am due an opp in a month , So I can't really say if it's working or not , I also take it orally going to bed so I don't get to feel stoned , but I only take a small amount on a piece of bread .
I will keep you up to date as it goes on , as I plan on taking this oil for way more than the 60 day recommendation , hopefully it does its magic on me lol

Donna Lee Hi Donna , well I've had the opp , it went very well I'm told , didn't press the pain relief button once after the opp , was out within two days and home , had the cafater removed week 2 and as soon as that happened I felt back to normal , can't honestly say if the oil helped me at all , as I took it before the opp and obviously can't see my insides , but I'm just waiting for my next 60 day course and also the results from my opp on the 8 th sept , so they will tell me if the cancer has spread or if they got it all ( I presume ) , even if I get good news I am still going to do the 60 day course and will continue to take a maintenance course for as long as I can as I don't know of any other way to help myself , I'm eating 90% healthy now , no sugars or takeaways , mostly fibre veg fruit and tiny amount of chicken now and again , pure water always with lime juice , I drink apple cider vinegar every morning in small dose , and always distilled water , even gone to the bother of making my own natural soaps & deodorants , just with the hope it helps me .
I was always very slim all my life , 65-70 kilo from high school right up to 57 which I am now , but on the day of the opp they weighed me and I was 51 kilo , at 5 foot 10 that's very skinny , since opp I have made myself eat regular and sometimes more on top , within two weeks after opp I had came up to 54 kilo , and I think if I weigh myself this week I will have put on another few kilo .
Sorry I can't say to you right now the oil is a miracle cure and it has taken away all my cancer , simply because I really don't know if it's the opp or the oil that has helped , worst case for me right now is on the 8th they tell me it has spread elsewhere , I'm hoping it's gone , please send me a reminder after the 8th and I'll keep you posted with honest answers , because that is what I've searched for on here and never really found anyone who was actually doing rso and getting results , I've only seen this in rick Simpson videos , not actually real people here and now .

I’m confused too. It hasn’t been decarbed and doesn’t get over 200 degrees in the slower cooker. I made some with 30% thc from the store and sampled a grain of rice size and nothing. It should be strong maybe because it’s not activated yet?
