1985-1995 is the golden age of strongman in my opinion. The characters, the charisma, the contrast of body types, personality, events etc..incredible athletes. Comparing the weight of today’s guys to this era is kinda silly. Those athletes competed hundreds of times in their careers, nowadays, some of the guys compete 5-6 times a year. A remarkable man, I love his mindset. We could all learn a lot from him. I imagine his motivational speaking is enthralling. Thanks for tracking him down Loz, although I was disappointed he wasn’t wearing a headscarf 😉
Ahhh nice one big Loz one of my all time favs this guy!!! I will be enjoying this with a cup of tea soon as I get spare half hour
Always loved watching him compete real character!
He was a true personality and a true spectacle with those gigantic arms. He was an undeniable asset to the sport's growth and popularity. His auto accident was a tragedy for him and strongman. Glad to see today he is happy and healthy, though much reduced in bodyweight...
Wow I’ve been waiting for this one Loz, most excellent.
This is the one I've been waiting for, thanks Loz.
Thank you Manfred.
So wise and such a great attitude towards life.
Oh wow! Thanks Loz!
Great memories of him competing. What a physique! Glad he is in a good place now after having such a tough time for many years...👍
Awesome Interview, Manfred with new perspectives of his live !
Would love to see a interview with Martin Wildauer:
Strongman Champions League WORLD CHAMPION 2014; 9x Austria's Strongest Man; World's Strongest Man Finalist; Arnold Classic Top 4 competitor; Cheers from Austria, Franz
What a nice guy :) He has been through a lot. Glad to see him talk about meditation. Brilliant interview. Manfred should start his own youtube channel or something. He is still a big inspiration to many. Sure he could help people who suffer from mental health problems and so on.
I am from Austria and just recently found out who he was and listening to this interview really impressed me. What a great attitude.
great video manfred was always fun to watch, wanted to suggest a video also on my favourite strongman Jouko ahola.
Another brilliant unexpected interview, really cool to watch this Loz 👍🏼
What tremendous life advice
Big thanks for this talk. It is such a shame that Manfred didn't have an opportunity to try one more time winning WSM. His physique was really amazing. It is good to know that he was able to recover from those accidents.
How much Manfred has changed. He used to be a very handsome man but now he is exploring the spiritual dimension stay blessed 🙏
