Yes. The man is literally dominating the sport.
No one has dominated the sport so early in their strongman career like the moose. The closest is mariusz pudzianowski but the dominator has never won the Arnold strongman classic despite being 5x wsm
@@Therighthanddoni think he doesnt have same "quality" competition atm. Still he sets the pace nad others follow currently but i think the real test is next year when hopefully thor atleast is at his normal competition level.

Love that Mitch gave credit to Big Z for perfect reffing. Big Z knows what he's doing, and so does Mitch.
I think Mitch also knows that some referees give the down signal easily. It's nothing but a benefit to the athletes, the sport and the refs themselves that they are strict and not lenient.

Strongman is such a great sport because of people like them!
Very strict judging from Big Z, but it seemed consistent for all athletes, which is what is the most important!
I say great judging for sure
He doesn't give anything unless it's 100% controlled. Like he said, it's hard to ref this event, as we've seen before when things get questionable. No room for shenanigans this time. 😄
Big Z is always one of the strictest judges at every show, which is fine because he applies the same high standards to all the athletes.
Agreed. The thing is (I may be going into deep with this) strength is not just about lifting something from a to b. It’s also about showing control and stability

Hooper's acknowledging Z's decision and accepting with ZERO crying. Things like that are why he is a great ambassador for the sport and just a good person. Hope Mitch is adding selves in his house, to display all the hardware he will be displaying in the future. Rock on Hoop 🤘😎

That's why I said knocking on the door rather than actually being one of the greatest. Too early to say that he is but to me he's heading into that conversation if he keeps performing like he is.

It’s crazy the evolution that strongman has seen. From guys that were just huge everywhere, especially the gut, to a guy like moose, who honestly just looks like a big, strong healthy guy. I think it gives the sport a lot more promotability. Congrats Mitch.

I know Mitch is insanely strong but for some reason i am always even more impressed by how smart, calculated and strategic he is.

Crazy he's only been doing strongman for a few years and is already schooling the field with his technique and strategy on many events
He reminds me of brian in that sense.
That has a lot to do with how strong he is, when your biomechanics and technique are great you recruit more muscle
You are hands down the ultimate strongman. Strong but also very athletic and with good cardio.
Exactly how I feel! Add durable as well . He has all the right pieces to be one of the goats if he keeps it up

Does seem like a heavy influence in cardio from a young age and then to strongman, has definitely helped. Same with Eddie with his swimming.

This is why I love Strongman as its not purely 1rm strength but how much of that strength can you hold for time. Hooper looks healthy regardless of what it takes to compete at that level. Brian Shaw as well. Eddie is definetly one heck of a human competting with the big boys but all that extra weight gonna hurt.
I think Thor is just happy to have more strong people near him. Dude's been at the top for so long, he was probably feeling lonely.
