Thereafter Nawabs, Marathas and Mughals started fighting each other enabling British to colonise India. Probably British empire was blessing in disguise as English language enabled people of North, South, East and West India to communicate with each other and unite together in independence movement. English language also helped Indians to dominate in IT sector .

For your information the turban or any type of Hear gear was part of the traditional Bharatiya way of life..... Although I dont agree to your point of view that" Dravid" is a separate race but even if I do still almost all great South Indian kings are portrayed wearing some sort of turban and I am referring to the pre mougal Kings . The various Gandhar artifacts also give a clear indication that wearing a head gear made out of cloth was pretty much common practice in ancient Bharat.
