OH MY GOODNESS I LOVE YOUR CONTENT! Thanks for the love! My friend and I just started making games content together on this channel and I knew I had to cover one of my favorite series as one of the first things we did! Glad my guide has your seal of approval! - Sam
I put over 200 hours into elden ring when it first came out as my first souls game. Then noticed this was free last night on the PlayStation game pass so I’m hyped to start it tonight!
This was the best guide I’ve seen, even better than the big youtubers who basically said the same things. I never played a Souls game before, and I struggled to survive even 3 minutes at first, but just today I defeated Phalanx and I felt so proud
Tip for new players: the letters under the stats in the equipment menu (strength, dexterity, faith, magic icons) are the tiers at which a weapon scales. For example, an “S” under the strength icon means that as you upgrade the weapon, the bonus attack power you get from your strength stat will increase a lot as you upgrade the weapon, A “C” under an icon like dexterity means as you upgrade the weapon, the bonus attack power you get from your dexterity stat increase moderately. The tiers in ascending order are E (worst),D,C,B,A,S (best).
A great video for Souls Newcomers. One of my biggest tips for newcomers, or anyone for that matter (regardless of your build), would be to get the Crescent Falchion +1 from 4-1 ASAP. It destroys enemies in World 2. A great starting weapon for anyone until you beef up your build and other weapons. It's pretty easy to get to: Put on a Thief's Ring (1-1 Next to Ostrava where you rescue him), attract Skeletons one at a time and kill, when you get to the gate at the top of the stairs, make a left into the wall, go down and make a left back outside, dodge red eye skeleton and grab the item behind him.
That’s really smart to use the thief ring to make it by the skeletons easier! I usually would just make a suicide-run to the item and it would take a couple trys. Can’t wait to do this on my next run!
It’s an old comment but k can’t recommend this enough. Especially for magic users. This makes killing the Red Knight in 1-1 pretty easy for a great grind spot. Massive soils for an early part of the game. If you’re a magic build the Crescent Falchion+1 is a no brainer!
Started watching this video before I even had the game, watched it again after getting the game. The information and explanations are greatly appreciated! Thank you!
This genuinely was informative and entertaining. Every other guide to souls I’ve seen has felt complicated and dreading. You sir are very good at what you do, keep up the great work! 👍🏾✊🏾
I’ve died so many times and I’m only at the start, now I realise how wrongly I’ve been playing this game after watching this 😂 hope you get loads more attention as this is the only decent tutorial for beginners I’ve seen
This is my first ever souls game and I was able to defeat the phalanx and took me time to get to the first boss because I’m a new souls player and kept dying a lot but I kept trying and never gave up and defeated the first boss and now I’m going to play the game more and try my best to beat the game and never give up
This was very helpful for me, especially since I never played a dark souls game before. I still have trouble with the red eye knight across the bridge in 1-1
I found your video on Reddit and wasn’t prepared for how good the quality of it would be?! Your mic and editing is so crispy. I’m so, so, so surprised you don’t have 1m subs. The production value is up there with the a lot of the bigger channels. Anyway, thanks for making this! You make it sound so much less stressful lol.
Great video, you got right to the information that new players need, I'm a seasoned Souls/BB/Nioh player, this being my first endeavour with Demon Souls on the PS5 and I learnt a great deal from your video. (Someone recommend Royalty to me already but I did laugh when you got to it). Keep doing exactly what you're doing!
Wow, thank you for this man! Absolutely great video, it’s crazy how I’ve been playing from soft games for almost 5 years and this is the one game I just didn’t understand at all lmao!
Had to learn some tricks-n-tips again because I just got this for my PS5 yesterday, whohooo! Been over 10 yrs. since I last played...and I wasn't that good anyhow. Thanks for sharing.. this will help! Going back in...! Oh the pain that coming... lol...!
Downloaded not realizing this was a Souls game and was never into the genre before, simply got a PS5 and it came with the PS+ subscription. Couldnt get past the first stage after hours of work, deleted the game for months. Then I came back and after watching YT tips, beat not only Phalanx but Tower Knight. Trying my best to get through Stonefang rn but the wolves and fire magician keep fuckin me up 😭. Thank you so much for the tips bro you’re makin it easier, I want to get into these so bad, especially before Elden Ring comes out
Great job getting through the first half of Boletaria! Grab the Crescent Falchion+1 from Shrine of Storms if Stonefang Tunnel continues to give you grief!
I just downloaded and started this after 600+ hours in Elden Ring (the only fromsoft soulsborne I've played.) I'm getting my ass kicked but it's fair. I beat Phalanx first try but it took me 3 hours and god knows how many deaths to get there. I keep dying on this red eyed knight on a bridge there only to find out I should come back to that later. Imma go to 1-2 I think now. Having a lot of fun with it.
@@TurnstyleVideo I ended up getting it on sale for $40 at Target 😁 I hadn’t really thought about it sooner but last night I went into the settings & turned Ratchet & Clank to its highest difficulty mode & it’s definitely less insulting to play now 😂 I did a boss fight & won with only 1 health left, now that’s more like it!
Never played the original but bought this yesterday and I love it! Not hard as they say, especially the first boss I killed first go without losing a third health. Game is nowhere near as hard as bloodborne or sekiro but it is special in its own way. Feels amazing playing it. Bloodborne my favourite souls game so far but this could be just as good. Defo recommend
This was a great video my first real experience with fromsoft was elden ring and I really didn't think not being able to jump attack would affect my ability to play as much 😂
I find that the red eye guarding the king is actually a good way to farm souls. He drops 2k+ and you can cheese him by using the catapult closest to him as a barrier. He might try circling a hit but you can get him standing on the other side trying to poke you through the catapult. Blast him with a tasty spell a few times and you've got some safe souls.
Thanks for this tutorial. I'll probably not buy this game since souls like games are not interesting enough for me, but I'll give you kudos for the amount of details you covered.
Great video man! Super informative and detailed.i just started the Souls series w demons souls so I learn something new everyday..still stuck on Tower Knight but il beat him eventually.lol..def gonna try out some who can use magic tho.havent reached that point either. One question- the Ring of Great Strength..can you just collect all that stuff without fighting the dragons? Been scared to go down there at this point
What's funny is, I struggled for around 4 hours doing the first section at the gates of Boletaria getting through relatively weak and easy enemies and when I finally got to the first boss, the Phalanx, I beat it in about 2 minutes, first try. It doesn't have any ranged attacks and the firebombs destroy its shields in 2 hits so if you just stockpile fire bombs you'll beat it first try guaranteed.
I’m a Soulsborne vet so I chose the Wanderer class and I’m using a female character lol. It has very good dexterity and decent strength so I have weapon variety early. My vitality is “meh” though 😅. Also if you know how to parry in Dark Souls 1/remastered, than you’re set in this game!
I’m a new player to the souls franchise and these tips were 1) Easy to understand 2) To the point and 3) I’m dying much less and not wasting my statistic points and things I shouldn’t focus on Thank you for putting the time and effort with this guide for babies like me!

Awesome! Congrats on escaping Boletaria! Good luck with the rest of the game!
@Pix El did you get to the first boss yet ?
@Saroj M I recommend watching a play through on UA-cam, I defeated phalanx easily after watching a play through
@Saroj M damn bro, I'm 6 hours in and already beat the first three bosses phalanx, tower knight, and armored spider

Mapping the Photo Mode option to the TouchPad makes for a nice pause option. Also let's you peek around those dark corners a bit better...
Wait, 250 subs? Wtf? This is one of the best souls beginner guides I've seen. Keep it up!
Thank you for the love!
Best Demon Souls beginner guide I’ve seen on UA-cam. Proves that views almost never reflect quality or relevance.
Oh my gosh an ACTUAL beginners guide unlike some bigger youtubers...this is massively helpful and you explain things
gosh. that setup at 1:17 is nothing short of amazing. i nearly fell off my chair laughing.
Really? Lmao wtf
This is really well done, nice crisp audio, clear communication, a few jokes for personality but they're not overbearing. Great job! You got a sub.
Thank you very much for the kind words! Glad you like our content!

Thank you! I’ve been trying to get people in my personal life into Souls for years prior, so I’m glad I was able to explain it in an accessible way!
This is the best tips video I've seen watched for Demon Souls
Finally started playing this past weekend and got through the first two bosses. I am loving it so far! Great video here. Subscribed!
Bro, I know it's an old video but here have a sub lol. Straight to the point, no messing about and very entertaining.
You deserve a hell of a lot more subscribers for this video alone. Professional, informative and concise. So good 👏👏👏
This video is one of the best to start you off in Demon’s Soul, excellent stuff 👍
Thank you! Good luck with the game!
This is really useful, I'm doing a Demon Souls night with my dad for the first time and this will help! Thanks man.
Good luck with your run! Glad you found the video helpful!

THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED! GREAT JOB! all thr other videos started by just telling me what demon souls is in general and thus not helping anyone at all.
Thank you for these much needed tips with a nice dash of humor. Great video.
We appreciate it! Let us know if it helps with your playthrough!
Thank you, brother!
Just started my Souls journey today.
Made it to the top of 1-1 and died, but I'll be going back to tomorrow for revenge.

This was a masterpiece of beginner demons souls game advice.
My man bringing the best beginner guide out there. Subscribed. Looking forward to more videos ❤️👌
We appreciate it! Thank you for the sub!
This was very helpful for me, especially since I never played a dark souls game before. I still have trouble with the red eye knight across the bridge in 1-1
You can skip the red knight for now! He’s supposed to be a really tough at the beginning to block off an NPC
@@TurnstyleVideo really? Ok! Should I continue through the mist on the other side of the bridge?

Was going to sell my demon souls, but decided to watch your guide and give it a try again. Because of your SMT5 guide, I really enjoyed playing SMT5
That makes us happy to hear! Hopefully you will now have a better time with Demons Souls!

I finished Bloodborne and I’m in my NG+3 at Elden Ring, but Demons Souls is hard, thanks for the info!
After playing the new Ratchet & Clank game I’m craving something more age appropriate & challenging, thinking I’m gonna get this

can you do Pure White Tendency some info on how you get it thanks
We didn’t include discussing PWWT/PBWT simply because it’s not going to have a meaningful impact for a first time playthrough. You only have to mess with world tendency if you are going for the platinum trophy.
Nice One Mate😉🇬🇧👍🏻
I am still pissed that I missed the ring as my starting gift. Just wasn’t paying enough attention and took a consumable
