Definitely one of the best, and if you want to dress it up some applied weapons tech scales, clip, and ti ball cage makes this knife better than any 3-400 dollar Chinese made knife. IMO
I've never had a desire to own a "lightweight" of any Spyderco. I figure if I can't find room for a regular, I don't need it anyway. Of course I regularly carry 3-5 knives in my pockets or on my belt, so yeah. I like my Manix 2 15v, still looking for scales and need to order a new cage and clip. I got the stonewash ones for my Manix 2 XL and anodized them a high voltage green. Good video Kole.
@@tiddybagel I got some micarta scales and dyed them green. Carrying a Lynch clip like all my other Spydies and the titanium ball cage. I'll ano the clip and cage, just have to get my ano stuff set back up after moving everything to my garage.
TBH I think the LW Para 3 is a top tier knife, having both the SPY27 LW one and the regular camo S45VN one, in my opinion the LW feels better in the hand and seems plenty strong, did a very strong cut on a tree branch with it, nothing moved... The S90V LW version is probably great too. Only thing is, I would prefer a thinner blade, but maybe I'm not being reasonable.
Nice Kole ! Happy New Year . Lay that knife out bro with a backspacer and lanyard plug and scales and clip , oh and the cage thing 👍👍. I think it was an extra $200 but totally worth it after bead blasting the titanium and oiling it turned out so nice . Never touched the blade edge since they come so good already .
Ordered 1 last night off Ebay. Price was 300 offered 260 and he accepted. Can't wait for it to be delivered. I only have 1 other Spyderco and its the S110V PM2. Im wanting to upgrade the Manix with all Ti like I did to my PM2. Hope its as great as all the reviews have made it out to be. Everyone have a great weekend and hope you can buy 1 if you really want one.
@@TristateEDC zip ties, cardboard , rope , small 18 ga wire, you name it really mine works it’s not a pocket princess . So far 2 nd edge on it. So far maxmet and crueear are better imho. I mean make no mistake bbb knows what he’s doing! But like I said 2nd edge.
Kole the 15v blow s110 away. 15v is soooo good that all of the American knives made in Colorado will come in a 15v version. Yes the PM2,Para3,SHAMAN, Etc. So keep you eyes & ears open.
If you ever decide to get new scales, I highly recommend the AWT anodized aluminum scale. They knock 1.5 ounces off the knife, you don't have to deal with removing the lanyard tube, and also look incredible.
Yeah, they look absolutely sweet. Looking forward to drilling out the rivets and putting them on my LW in Maxamet. The FRCP scales are certainly functional, but I’ve never liked the look and feel. And they completely transform the semi-crude looks of the G10 Manix too.
@@tiddybagel ….The AWTs are aluminum, in either anodized hard coat or Cerakote. The anodized is a harder, better lasting finish….but it can depend on which color you want. They are excellent scales.
Owning that S110v manix as one of my first "good" knives I've had it for a while now, I felt the same way I didn't want to get rid of it cuz I like it but I do want to get one that I can customize but the right one hasn't come around yet until this one I wish I had the money to get it 😂
New to your channel. You're up there with my favorite knife channels already. Advanced knife Bro, Cedric and Ada, and Jimislash. Consider me subscribed.
I’ve been carrying my BBB15V for a week now. I tried rotating it out for other knives but it’s just too damn cool. At first it was gonna be a safe queen, but that lasted about 5 minutes lol
Love the manix 2. I just got my 15v shortly before you and got some linerless Applied Wepons Tech skinny agent scales. No hassle from the lanyard barrel since it's linerless. Also you should check out Ripps Garauge Tech linerless ti scales. Can't wait to see what you do to yours. Love mine for sure
This looks great! If you end up swapping the scales and don't have something to do with the original ones, you could always send them over to me, so I can swap them onto my S110V Manix 👀
@@Hungrybird474 definitely try the lighter spring, makes it feel like a axis lock knife. I tried it for a week but put the stock spring back in, for me it was to light. But it's great to have the options to have your knife dialed in just like we want it.
I finally bought a Yojimbo! I love it but I wanted the one with the black blade. They didn’t have it in store. Slightly regretting not buying the cru wear one.
Man you lucky Americans. Waiting for them to show up here in Europe still. Signed up to some US retailers but they were just gone when they sent the emails :( Crossing my fingers that I will manage to snag one. Would be nice to know dates when it comes to Sprints, and not just a "most likely insert month".
Yes, that BBB 15V will outperform S110V. It’s truly ludicrous stuff. LOVE my two of these, and looking forward to the next BBB 15V Sprint model, (there will be more). 👍👍
Confirmed in the Spyderco Reveal 12 just released, that in 2023 there will be a brown G10 15V in both the Shaman & PM2. Love my Manix though, so glad I got one of these!
It will be a nice looking knife when you put applied weapons tech aftermarket scales on it. ( the best) And replace the clip and ti or aluminum ball cage.
Just got it and man it's awesome!! Can you tell if i should be worried about rust/corrosion with the cpm15v with normal use? Thx 👍 Ps: exactly nobody needs 15V we wants it, my prescious..
I absolutely love the sound of the manix and its action, imo it's one of the best folding knives ever
Definitely one of the best, and if you want to dress it up some applied weapons tech scales, clip, and ti ball cage makes this knife better than any 3-400 dollar Chinese made knife. IMO
Should I worrie about corrosion? With normal day to day use?
Hoping this steel gets in hands of more users. Amazing. This is why we love Spyderco. Too cool to sit in a safe

Pivot is a t10. RGT universal clip is great. The Lynch nw is REALLY deep carry. But whatever floats your boat. Nice knife👍🏻
I have the same lightweight. Great summer carry.

As a blue collar man, its pretty much all i need in a folding knife. I didnt bother trying to get one, am happy with my m390 manix.
Just picked one up! Insane blade - mods coming soon
I’ve rolled my edge , chipped it, all in daily usage!! 15 degree per side. Sharpened it right back
So I'm curious what are you using the knife for day to day. And how is the 15v holding up compared to other high end steels? Cheers brother 🍻

15v sucks
I was telling people about 15 v when s30v was the rage.
Thing I like about the manix 2 g10 is you can put smooth ti scales on it but it still locks in hand because of all the jimping
