The smokes look like foam and the dispersal from bullets being fired looks kind of weird but maybe cause it's still being developed.

The last counter strike i played was cs: condition zero and seeing those maps just invoked immense nostalgia when i was a toddy and just used to play with bots.
I wonder if maps will be made more interactive because of Source 2, what I mean by this more destructible props, walls included, bombsites getting C4 blasted to smithereens and players getting damaged not only from splash damage, but also from debris/shrapnel.
That is way too big of a task for valve. In short, it won't happen.

Likely not. After CS Source they actively worked to remove clutter from the game, i.e. objects that you could shoot and move like barrels etc. and also look at the maps like Nuke, Mirage, Dust 2 and Inferno for example, so many annoying details removed to make sure that when you peek corners etc. you won't hit a little piece of decorative wall and so on and so forth. CS is about consistency and reproducability, and always has been.
@@vnkfrancis1328 the real reason is that valve dont want that, interactive objects would eat ressources from your pc wich lower fps, and since cs is such a highly competitve game they want to have alot of players that can run the game smoothly even if they using older systems
otherwise the game wouldnt be that popular.
I am very interested to see how teams will solve crossing yard to go into secret or garage if you can puncture the smokes like that
Seeing actually doesn’t mean too much to the guy getting shot because if you were shooting at a tight spot it should hit the guy even if the smoke can’t be punctured
@@devil3742 true but if a nade can clear out the smoke then CTs can throw a nade at timings to gain info without flash peeking and risking dying to someone playing anti flash
The Smokes are volumetric so if you shoot through the middle it doesn't clear as much. Teams may have to stack smokes to make sure they're thick enough to not be cleared easily.
The also combine with each other to make a thicker smoke

@LightLeo111 little demanding. I used to get 350 - 400 fps. Now I'm getting 225 - 250 fps. I assume they will boost the fps in coming updates.
Fantastic update for the subtick concept. This has been needed for years. Hopefully over time they also update the mm elo system, overwatch and ideally offer an opt in region locked server system, getting rid of rubber banding issues and improving coms in mm.

Just a rando but my thoughts:
-Excited for the new sub-tick rate as they call it, will be nice to know grenade lineups work the same on every server!
-Volumetric nades look sweet! Interested to see how that changes the meta, hopefully it removes annoying one-way smokes and improves the game overall
-The general look of the new maps is beautiful, hope my PC doesn't need an upgrade to run it smoothly haha!
-REALLY hoping they address matchmaking/anti-cheat soon, would love for them to improve those aspects of the game. If there was an integrated system like ESEA/Faceit I think it'd improve matchmaking so much

They have addressed it for years now, and 5-6 years ago they completely revamped it to be an AI learning model, and ban statistics also prove the efficiency of it. To think that cheaters won't always find ways to be one step ahead, and that somehow fixes to the hacks can be detected and implemented as fast as the cheats are produced, is extremely naive. You can't fix something until you know about it, and when you know about it, you still have to program a fix.. until the next exploit is found.
@@Luggruff I mean there is a massive difference between how many cheaters there are on valorant compared to csgo. So its clear that the anticheat for csgo is dog. I mean even look at the faceit anticheat. there are clear differences.

All of the things mentioned in this release, it seems like CS2 is going to be much more competitive than CSGO
You did see the gameplay. Almost all the presented gameplay is from the devs, and you have the m4, awp, pistol, zeus, nades there. One thing I have noticed are bullet traces and perhaps a change in the recoil, but maybe it's just me. And no, you won't need a new pc for the game, it's just another engine. Perhaps there will be a fps drop for some (hopefully a huge drops for screaming kids playing on toasters) but not enough to make you upgrade.

Everything is going to change. They talked about it on ESL channel the guys who played it. Character is gonna react and tilt different when you move. You are also gonna se your legs ;).

Adressing the question at 2:55. I think you are not required to have super powerful pc, because source 2 is pretty old engine already. About 9 years or so IIRC.

I think that because of the change of not using the "regular tick method"(it's not 128), it's the end of flicking with an awp because the game will shoot exactly when u press the mouse so u can't move the mouse in the time between the press and the actual shooting
Of course you can still flick. You'll just have to train a different timing and movement. i.e. move further than the target and shoot at it. So in essence, delay yourself a few milliseconds from movement to hitting the mouse button.
Lets if Tick and click works now.
SO HYPED. I hope some of the guns get a small rework tbh. it already looks like a brand new game, why not fully make it brand new. The only thing that they should keep is the spray pattern in my opinion. If that is changing, then all of us will be back in silver 1 after the update.

valve forced their way with switching to GO from 1.6 and here it will be the same
Csgo two is probably more competitive friendly with the tick rate fix

Second you arent able to one tap through smoke to see through. The bullet holes are off your sightline.

no, because now you will have to choose. Use them for dmg or you them for for tactical advantages.
I disagree, I think it offers a variety of opportunities for both teams. Smokes can be cleared whether defending or attacking, e.g. site entrances which CTs could completely turn into death traps can now be naded by Ts allowing to quickly look into the site and maybe get a pick before pushing through.
I saw the video fra Valve, I love when things change; but of course if to the better. The dynamic smokes make so much sense !!! ... no smoke spamming advantage for the M4-S :-) HA!!!
