That patient really was enjoying all the wonderful work you were doing on her feet. Her caregiver sounded like she really cared about and knew her patients well.

Caregiver took care of another case while Dr. Jefferson was working.
Great dedication on her part.
Anybody would love the work Dr. Jefferson does. He’s one doctor with a big heart and best service for his patients. Love him.
I came for the amazing work but stayed for the TEA during that phone call lol
Dr. Jefferson, I was exhausted when you finished scraping the scales of dead skin off this poor dear ladies feet. You deserve a medal for endurance. What a difference you’ve made to her feet. I almost applauded when you broke out the electric buffer type instrument. Love your caring way and your channel is my favorite. Watching from PA.
I watch from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, BC Canada
You are truly the best for older people. You have so much respect for them and treat them so well. Thank you.
Poor lady. I know she felt better when she left because that was quite the transformation! Your patients are so blessed to have you, Dr. Jefferson. As a matter of fact, those of us who watch you from afar are blessed as well. We learn about foot issues, treatments, foot care and we are also reminded with each video that there ARE still kind, caring, compassionate left in this world. Thank you!
I've been too scared to go to a foot doctor for regular upkeep but learning there's nothing to fear through your videos has helped me immensely, thank you! This ladies' feet look fantastic!!
Definitely nothing to fear by going and a lot of things worth fearing if you don't go. I'm diabetic, so insurance covers me going once every three months. I get my nails trimmed, and they remove any calluses etc. Getting ingrown toenails removed hurts a little, but it feels so much better afterwards. Like getting a splinter removed. Most everything else just tickles a little. Like when he uses the scalpel or that sanding thing, that doesn't hurt at all. He's just removing dead skin.
Just remember that not all podiatrists are the same. Do your shopping
@@guardianangel9517
Good point. I actually did do a little shopping for mine. My doctor had someone in mind, but I also made some calls myself. Another podiatrist I spoke to recommended the podiatrist that my doctor had in mind and that I am currently going to. They are the only ones in my area who specialize in diabetic patients. And the other podiatrist told me that's what I wanted under my circumstances. I don't have any diabetic related health problems, but I am diabetic. And those types of issues need to be checked for.
My heart goes out to this lady! So many of us ( as we advance in years) find it nearly impossible for us to even reach down and clip our toe nails! I am 64 and helped my mother in law weekly with her home pedicures.I am blessed to have the same healthy feet as in my 20’s… I hardly ever wear closed , restrictive shoes .
I am so glad that the salon turned away this patient. She really needed to see you. You really do know what you are doing. Kudos to you Dr J.
Salons are pretty terrible for foot care. There are too many cases of people getting bad care there or getting an infection because of unsanitary conditions. Definitely go to a podiatrist. After seeing so many times pedicures go wrong on videos like this, I would never get one. I'll just go to a barber or salon for a haircut. I don't want them providing my healthcare. That would be the kind of thing that was done in the Middle Ages.

¿Por qué unas veces 🎉sale bola y otras no?
@@TerryProthero I've had hundreds of pedicures in my life and never had a problem. You just need to go to a good salon that practices correct cleaning protocols and sterilizes everything. Obviously if you're diabetic or have other issues you should go to a doctor, but for the average person a pedicure is fine.
I can't think of a more nobel act than helping these senior citizens be more comfortable in their daily life. I admire you for all you do. Thanks!
Absolutely. Having healthy feet can do wonders for a person's comfort level and health in general. Watching videos like this got me to start seeing a podiatrist regularly.
I've said elsewhere on this channel that my late Aunt did this kind of work for older adults.
It her day she was a rarity: a woman podiatrist.
What a difference a day with Dr. Jefferson can make for your feet!!!!! I love the way you listen to what patients are saying. You glean so much of what their lives are like so you can directly affect their lives.❤
You are way more than just a doctor. You are a shepherd, an advisor, a faith giver, a bringer of comfort, a "Dutch Uncle"...and a healer...
Foot Goddess of them all, Amen!!
Not when he says depend on what the insurance will pay.
May I ask what a “Dutch Uncle” means? I am originally from Holland and never heard of the term…..Curious to find out! Thanks in advance for a reply.😊 God Bless🙏🏼👋🏼🇨🇦
Wikipedia:
Dutch uncle is an informal term for a person who issues frank, harsh or severe comments and criticism to educate, encourage or admonish someone. Thus, a "Dutch uncle" is the reverse of what is normally thought of as avuncular or uncle-like (indulgent and permissive).
Greetings a Dutchy from the Netherlands.
@@DunjaDB Thanks for your reply from a Dutchie in Canada😊👋🏼🇨🇦
Awesome transformation! When my mom was in hospice, the caregivers refused to cut her nails or maintain her feet. . She was a diabetic. Thanks to you, I was able to cut her nails safely and keep the crusty skin at bay. Thank you so much for the teaching you give in your videos! God bless you!
Unfortunately some caregivers are not allowed to cut toenails, it just depends on the states licensing board on things that staff can do. In California it's a no. Thank God you were there for her to help.
It is also like that in VA. Only podiatrists can cut the nails of diabetic patients.
As a nurse in Australia we are told we are not to touch toenails at all, especially on diabetic patients as they are at high risk for complications. Only a podiatrist is allowed. I’m so glad you were able to help your Mum out though!
Dr Jefferson, you have really helped this patient immensely. I'm sure she'll feel a lot better knowing that her feet are well cared for. Enjoying your videos 👍👍
You show patients so much compassion. I'm 70, thankfully have beautiful skin and feet and grateful I can still reach my feet. Watching your videos has reminded me how important it is to keep up good foot maintenance! Thank you!
The level of care you provide is beyond anything I have ever received. Your patients are blessed to have you
You’re an absolute Angel from Above for the care you give and way you help and treat everyone the same no matter what the situation. Her caregiver also seems to be very knowledgeable and understanding and I hope more learn from her. We have to learn to help our elders when they need instead of just turning the other way like so many of the younger generation does and that’s all of us. Thanks for all you do my friend 👍
What a workout! You always do things correctly, even if it takes longer. YOU'RE THE BEST ❤
I bet she felt so much better, awesome job doc.
This patient needed this treatment thanks. Dr. Jefferson, for being so kind to her
Incredible difference! You are a godsend to these folks. She must feel so much better!
I hope the patient continues to get your help!! 🦶🏼
This kind of reminds me of my parents who have both died, I went to visit them and walked in with them both on the floor grinding each other's feet with a grinder. I nearly had a heart attack
You’re the best! I know it must take a lot of controlled strength and time to take off all of that dead skin build up. You always leave your patients with feet that are more comfortable and soon healthier. The elderly are especially blessed by your work. God bless you.
Es Usted muy majo Dr Jefferson hace un buen trabajo, con que cariño habla a los pacientes ❤
She must have felt amazing when you were done. Glad she was able to get the help she needed.
Very patient and kind good looking out for are seniors!! I bet she loved all the work you did Doc 🙏🏾❤️
What a difference. You are an amazing Dr. I've watched you take care of some feet that I would be afraid to touch, but you always make the people feel & look better. Love watching you do what you do.
Absolutely a fantastic job doc. I have bad flat feet and i hope to travel to DC one day to see you. Im disgusted with the foot doctors here in KC. Having painful feet is as bad as bad knees
Bless her heart i know her feet felt so good afterwards and Bless your heart Dr. for helping her feet feel better. ❤
Home girl went clear smooth off didn't she I'm look you better tell them girl I know that's right.❤😂 Great work again Dr. J
Thank you so much for being that guy that goes above and beyond to help those that need help.
I’m so glad she was brought to you. Did she say she was 75? If so, I need to not complain about my health issues because I’m turning 73 soon and she’s breaking my heart.💔. You are doing such a wonderful job on her poor feet. God bless you both. Hugs Doctor.
Nice way to think outside the box and use your available tools.
Wow , she has new feet. Her caretaker seems really nice. Bet she enjoyed every minute of her treatment. Great work from such a caring doctor.
What a huge difference! I bet her feet feel amazing now. Hopefully her insurance will continue her treatment with you along the road to wellbeing. Thank you for sharing.
He did a wonderful job and I know she felt so much better physically and aesthetically. Bc baby when he brought that drill thing out with the spray he def stepped the game up and got her all the way together. You are God sent Dr. Jefferson!!!
You are always caring and do you best with patients.
I have my nails trimmed by a podiatrist here in Cincinnati. Luckily my feet aren’t like most patients you see.
Wish there were two of you so Cincinnati would be covered. DC is lucky to have you.
Dr. Jefferson makes it look easy - expert use of both curette and blade. Great tenacity - this patient has new feet thanks to him!
Dr. Jefferson is the Curet King! I urge everyone, especially the African-American population in the U.S., to pursue podiatry as a career. Your feet are the wheels of your life and people need good podiatrists.
Another excellent job Dr. Jefferson!
❤❤❤❤
Another's great job Dr Jefferson! ❤
Thank you for taking care of her feet! I bet they feel so much better with all of the scales and dry skin taken off.
I watch your videos and can see and almost feel the kindness in your touch. Everyone deserves compassionate care. Thanks again, doctor.
She was in good hands. What a sweet lady. She's fortunate to have you helping her.
Thanks again for yet another satisfying video. I hope she continues to visit you.
Oh boy,I saw this and knew it was going to be great! Thank you from Canada 🇨🇦
She must be relieved & feeling fantastic after this!!
I saw several Doctors before I picked one. Some wanted or pushed therapy. Finally, I saw a Podiatrist who said your feet are way past therapy. Surgery is the only fix for your problems, bunions, Heel spurs, and Hammer toe. My feet looked like a science project,, My feet are beautiful now. My only regret is I listen to the ones pushing therapy, Big mistake .. Do not put it off as some recommend. Do it as soon as you can .. I wish I had done it years before I did. I choose a Podiatrist vs an Orthopedic surgeon .. And I have never regretted it .. He did an excellent job ...
Dr. Jefferson, thank you for sharing the information with us about diabetes and foot care.. it is so important to take care of your feet.. I am diabetic and I appreciate your concern..
God led you on the right path! You're a very good doctor. I wish there were more of you practicing medicine.
Oh wait! The phone call is the real hero here! 😂
Thank God for doctors like you. You did an amazing job. God bless you, Doctor J.
The DC doctor must really love his job. ❤
Hi Dr Jefferson
Amazing transformation. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for sharing part 2. I'm glad the patient is getting better. 🙏🏾
That is so cool what you were able to do for that lovely lady! Her feet look amazing!
He be grunting wrestling with these patients feet 😂
Thank you Dr. Jefferson for your videos. As my parents were getting older and could not do for themselves I was able to step in and do some small nail cutting but, I did have someone come to the house to do it for them. My parents feet never got this bad with cracked skin and thickness. I was lucky enough to get that taken care of before it got bad. You helped with that a lot. I cleaned their feet between their toes and dried them really well. Then put on a good cream to keep them soft. Even after they needed more help then I could give them i still watched over their feet and kept them as good as I could. Thank you so much. My heart goes out to those who don't have someone to help them out. Bless you
Walking. Just have been so challenging for this lovely lady! Amazing work!
Dr Jefferson, I enjoy watching your vlogs. You are always very professional and kind to your patients. Thank you for caring about them.🤗🤗🤗
Hey, Doc. Great work! The skin is like fish scales. What causes this level of dryness? 🤔
Dr. Jefferson said she might have a nail fungus and athletes foot which can cause this dry skin. She was returning in 2 weeks to get the results of the nail clipping analysis in addition to having a blood circulation test on her legs.
It's good to see someone finally taking care of this old girl.
Wow. You made such a difference. I hope she gets on going care.
You do such great work and actually care for your patients 😊thats awesome you should come out to denver Colorado we would love to have you im originally from nyc area relocated to denver for a major airline we would love to have you thank you for your hard work you have made me a better man to take care of my feet😊
This foot doctor is truly a blessing from the most high!❤❤❤❤
God Bless you Doc! These poor people who can't look after their feet....it's gotta take a toll on them! Thank goodness you're there to help them! You're amazing!!❤🇨🇦
You always do such a great job and you're always so kind and helpful. I enjoy watching these transformations. This patient's get look so good.
I can't imagine how lovely this ladies feet must have felt after treatment. I bet she danced all the way home. Great job Dr J. ❤
This doctor is sent from God , changing lives and letting the patient’s keep their dignity
What a wonderful service you do! I love your videos and how thorough you are❤. That must have taken hours and I bet your hands were hurting. I’m sure she must have felt so much better!😊
❤ Dr Jefferson, your work is very laborious. How many severe foot cases do you treat during your working day?
You provide a tremendous service for the community. You have a Ministry providing spiritual and holistic care along with the podiatry care. Thank you ♥️
Have you thought about using a pump sprayer, like the ones used for gardens, instead of a spray bottle? It would be easier on your hands.
Excellent work I love to see the care of feet one day I will recognize the problems and do something about it
Dang, you are truly a “miracle maker”!
Impressive transformation Dr!!!
You really did a good job on her feet. It had to of taken some time . What a difference!
The helper got more going on than the patient! I was wondering if the doctor would pull out the Dremel. 😊
I do my grandmother feet every 2-3 weeks for the past 2 years my grandmother love it and now she never gets calus anymore. Kids or grandkids should help their elders out they need us.
She's going to feel so much better! She'll be up dancing!
Brand new feet! Kudos to the good doctor.
I'm glad these people are being brought to you. Good foot care can make a big difference in a person's overall health and comfort level. It's a significant quality of life issue when people are unable to get their feet properly taken care of.
She fill feel so much better! Great work.
What a Wonderful difference! I know that she is Very Very happy!
Well done, that looked like hard work!
Dr J you are truly and an amazing human being, and an Angel. ❤❤❤
Dr.Kevin…..your laughter… omg she needs your HELP quickly……
Thank you for the work you do. For every case you see, I bet there are 50 more out there with neglected feet through no fault of their. It behoves us to check on our elderly and/or disabled relatives and make sure they are getting adequate foot care. Please do not take them to a beauty salon, these people are not specialists or medically trained podiatrists.
Wow I bet she felt so much better after that
A lot of hard work !!! you are such a good doctor❤❤❤❤❤
SO MUCH BETTER!!! Great work.
Happy New year Doctor Jefferson and everyone ,Thank you for showing compassion love care for people in need very very special

As a former service provider, I feel like it’s extremely polite to excuse yourself & take phone calls in private if you know it’ll be beyond a brief exchange. I love to concentrate on what I’m doing & sometimes listening to noises outside of the client & myself can be super distracting.
doc just wondering how long this full procedure took in real time? .it seems like a hell of alot of back breaking work but mu god the results are amazing.great work as always. i bet she moonwalked outta there!
God bless you Dr Jefferson. Unfortunately dictators like you are rare these days.
I hate to say this but this video was a remake of a classic Martin sitcom show where Shanana was giving Myra a pedicure! That scene will make you laugh until you cry. This same skit is also on UA-cam performed by some little girls that is hilarious. They are using the voice over from the Martin show characters. It's too funny. My bringing this up was not meant to take away from the excellent work that Dr. Jefferson does, it was just to point out the similarity. I think that this Doctor is fantastic. I only wish that he was in my area.
Wow... amazing work Doc👏🏾
Excellent job, excellent bedside manner, as usual Dr. Jefferson.
When he broke out that little drill thang, them toes was curling baby! 😁
Wished you were my dad's doctor, maybe he'd still be alive. You're great with your patients.
Wow!! She is getting the best care...it is a joy to watch.
They look beautiful she must be thrilled.
What a great birthday present.🎉🎊🎉
Thank you Doctor!
