I honestly cannot knock this game at all. straight 10/10 in my opinion. Humour, Action, Amazing characters and story... and that soundtrack... BEAST.
Can’t forget the top notch voice acting
The sound engineering on this game is legendary class. The writing is epic. The direction, pacing, soundtrack, all of it - one of the slickest productions of all time. It kind of stands apart as a real masterpiece of game story telling and narrative.
This game needed to be more popular, it deserved to be. All Borderlands fans needed to play it anyways, because this is canonly a part of the story.

I know, it's so genuinely sad what became of these characters, it makes me kinds depressed. The writing in BL3 and New Tales From the Borderlands is atrocious

@@marky3358 that's odd because it absolutely does exist and that is what it's called. Its already released and it's really really bad. It's the "sequel" to the original with basically none of the original characters besides Rhys, who is ruined by the games bad writing

I feel guilty getting this for $3 on Black Friday. Just finished it and easily one of the best games I've played. Episode 5 was AWESOME. I was smiling from ear to ear during the action scenes and it hit me in the feels all within 2 hours. Amazing ending to the season. The humor and characters are what make Borderlands stick out to me. And Handsome Jack is such an asshole but I can't hate him.
Ep.5 was awesome, I never thought a borderlands game would give me feels. but Telltale fucking did it.

It would've been very hard to animate, for sure, but oh so worth it.
If you think about it, this game teaches the power of friendship.
Who would've thought that the peak of the Borderlands franchise would be non-fps spin-off (at least for me). Likewise I would've never imagined that the spot of my favorite BL character - Tiny Tina, would be taken over by the same type of robot that I've killed hundreds of times, with Fiona and Rhys coming very close as well. It's a crime against humanity that there likely won't be a sequel, there should be one inbetween each main game at the very least.

That synth really hammers in the severity that Helios is crashing into Pandora and the world is changing
I really dig the episode 5 one, it's a strong competition between that scene and 2:10 for me.
Eaisily the best game I've played in years.
My opinion the intro of 5 was super sad almost had a tear in my eyes and the music was awesome
Everything about this game was absolutely perfect. I remember rocking out to "Busy Earnin'" like holy shit this is amazing
And later at the intro to episode 4 I was even more excited
Almost two years worth of games and I still have yet to play a game that has a story I loved more than this one! I really hope there's some kind of tie in with Borderlands 3, these characters were amazing.

Of all Telltale games, this one I think is probably the funniest and the one I enjoyed the most, which is why I'm so sad the company is no more. We won't get to see another season, but we saw Rhys in the Borderlands 3 trailer, so there's that.
That Episode 4 intro is probably my favorite thing in the world right now.

The beginning of Episode 5 hit me hard... I broke down when Loader Bot gave Rhys a last bro-fist. (I know he survived anyway, but damn.) Next was killing Jack... one of the most satisfying moments in all of Borderlands.

They're not. We can expect to cross path with some of the characters from the Telltale serie, Rhys was teased in the trailer and we saw Vaughn in the Mayhem trailer, but nothing about the bots or Fiona and Sasha yet, I hope we will know a lot more about their story between TFTB and Borderlands 3. Is Fiona became an official Vault Huntress who joined the Crimson Raiders (That will be awesome, she is a friend of Athena after all) or would've she became a freelance ? Is Rhys finally learned how to flirt and end up with Sasha ? (He learned how to make correctly his necktie after all, and he is much more fashion than before, maybe Sasha remade entirely his wardrobe, he had terrible tastes after all 😂).
Ps : The only sad point is that Troy Baker will not take back his role as Voice actor of Rhys in Borderlands 3. That was confirmed

Being that Jack dies in this for good (hopefully) I don't think we'll get TFTBL S2 before BL3, because unless they want them to be totally unrelated, which I feel is unlikely, I don't think they want to insert a new story/setting into the series without doing it in the main games.

What a solid fucking game. Genuinely one of the best stories, with the best character development and writing I've ever seen in a piece of media.
Shame Gearbox and Randy Pitchford have ego and ruined all the characters. BL3 has absolutely atrocious writing thay destroyed both Rhys and Vaughn as character's, and don't even get me started on New Tales From the Borderlands. That game is just..... bad...

Playing the New Tales of The Borderlands game now. Only finished Ep2 but so far it's nowhere near as good the original. No amazing openings like this and don't get me started on what Gearbox has done to Rhys after TellTale made a fantastic original character to work with.
