- In Abyss-Mal Theories, we'll tackle the various theories surrounding Made in Abyss. In episode 1 I'll be going over my theory about how both Naraheti and Juusou are created.

Very interesting ideas, I especially like the one how Juusous are caused by a narehate soul, this also makes me question how does the Abyss decide which soul is given to whom

With the release of chapter 67 isn't it confirmed that the original Riko actually died? Srajo says that we can transfer souls (and we've seen this with Bondrewd using the Zoaholic and with White Whistles).
But reviving people isn't feasible, as she states: "A soul that has returned back to signals is much like a drop of water that has dissipated into the see, even if you preped the body by some means, the revived would be someone entirely different", this makes me believe that Riko isn't actually Riko but some soul that got into her body when the curse-waring box was used. So what i think happened was that Riko's original Soul left her body when she was stillborn
and went into an ocean of souls and in that ocean of souls one of them got into Riko's body
though it doesn't really matter as she was born into that body and lived her life as any human would, even if she is a fake she is still the only version of Riko that we know meaning that she is real to us and to everyone else around her.
But I guess this isn't exactly absolute Srajo says she isn't sure and Riko says that nothing can be taken for granted (As for example Reg's incinerator can rewrite the laws of the abyss)
