The first met at a festival years ago when the girls were much younger. Oli spotted them wandering around the mostly male backstage area looking a little lost, he took them under his wing and looked after them for the whole time, they have been very good friends ever since
We were totally freaking when this came out, finally we got this collab with both on the same stage. In case you don't know, during the intro called "Itch For The Cure - When We Will Be Free" (a clearly tribute to Linkin Park - Cure For The Itch) the style of the dialogue is another tribute to Metal Gear Solid videogame created by Hideo Kojima, BMTH got a song called Shadow Moses, i think is one of the early hits and it's the song i met them a long time ago, and that song title is another reference to MGS, later they did another track for Kojima-sama game "Death Stranding" called "Ludens" now officially as part of the OST. Theyve been using another theme when performing this before without BM and showing a green set of lights as well images more related to Matrix film because the lyrics got some sort of inspiration and homage. Also you'll see a set of dancers doing a choreo (sorta) for this song at certain festivals. This long time waited collab on a live stage after the song came out in 2020 was in a festival held by BMTH at Kobe, Japan, later they did it again in Nagoya (MoaMetal's hometown) and Makuhari Messe in Tokyo, they did something different at the end so highly suggest you to check it out. Oli also said they should never play this again without them (they did it anyway without them in Bangkok after this, we'll see today in Jakarta) so if you got the chance to see them live next year in any of the festival they will be playing together in the same lineup then don't miss out this unique moment. See you next time 🦊🤘🔥
Nice one! They have known each other for many years. They collaborated on this song in 2020 during the lockdown and it took them three years to make this live collab happen. Oli said in the end of the last performance that he will not perform this song again without BABYMETAL on stage. 🤘🦊
Great reaction ... I'm sure you already have all the info on this in the comments so I will just add that after this very first live performance they did it 3 more times and improved on it with tiny changes each time.
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。This is the world premiere of REAL "Kingslayer" performed by the two bands on Oct.31 this year in Kobe. I witnessed the REAL one in Nagoya on Nov.1. That was mesmerizing 😍. They performed together 4 times in Japan. The one thing worried me was the statement at the end of this song in the final show in Tokyo on Nov.4. Oli said "We are never gonna play Kingslayer without them, ever again. Just not right." I know BABYMETAL and BMTH are going to appear in the same festivals in several venues next year in USA and Europe. I look forward to seeing them preform Kingslayer together again on those occasions. But BMTH should perform this amazing and popular song even without BM being actually there. BMTH filmed their performance on Nov.3 with decent camera crew and equipment. (ps. I found BMTH played "Kingslayer" in the following concert in Bangkok, Thai on Nov. 7. That's good 👍)
Bring Me The Horizon is headlining a series of festivals in Japan. Baby-Metal has participated on each day to support them. After their own set and during BMTH's set, Baby-Metal would come out to do this song with them. I was at the Nex Fest Tokyo and it was a great day. Yungblud also participated on each day and Ollie would come out to do a song with them and vice-versa for their individual sets. In Tokyo, Maximum the Hormone and Hanabie also participated.
BMTH have full vlogs about their 2020 EP "Post Human: Survival Horror" development, among them there are a couple dedicated to "Itch For The Cure" and "Kingslayer", as the former song is basically an intro to the latter. So they've been trying a collaboration for a while, even discarded a previous song, but finally got one. Yet due to their own schedules, and a well known ☣"issue"☣, during these three years they've never got a chance to perform this song(s) together, Itch For The Cure here is basically adapted into this intro, "Metal Gear Solid" style. The EP was very well received, currently Parasite Eve and Kingslayer are its most listened to songs on Spotify. They've performed this many times through the festival, this is the first one, you can tell because SU wasn't perfect, unlike in the following shows, she still had to work it a little bit 😅👍 🤘🦊⚡
Ive always been talking about how bmth had LP vibes since Parasyte Eve. On that exact same line with a modern twist is also October Ends. If you haven't heard of them I'd say react to Dark!

The one where the girls come down by Ollie and headbang is even better.
I believe Bring Me the Horizon all Members shocked when saw BABYMETAL how great to perform this song live, Especially SU-METAL, She on Fire 🔥🔥🔥
So this is very firstime collabs but their Official video came out about 3 years ago... Interesting...
ありがとうございます🤘🦊♪

初日かな?とにかく興奮して軽く10回以上リピートしたよ‼︎

" Ohhhhh Yeaaaaaa ! "
Gotta listen to some October Ends! ?
I mean it's cool but why choose some random persons iphone video over something with a bit more quality? Oo
Because that's the only footage available right now. : )
It's such a great song you should listen to it with some decent audio. This fan cam video sucks so bad it doesn't do it justice.
