Their love was so pure, and was maturing slowly, all that made what Griffith did later so much worse. Guts is a true man. But more importantly, he is a truly kind person. Even at his darkest, unlike Griffith, he attracted creatures of light to his side. Puck. Innocent flower spirit. Even Griffith changed a bit with him. I have greatest admiration for him, cuz he shows how resilient good heart can really be. The scene in his dreams where he was thinking about his friends made me cry so much, because he was still feeling guilty for Gambino's death and was still lamenting even Griffith (as Griffith not Femto). He is just so kind and really pure. I have never wished for a character to be happy as I wish for him. Because he just deserves it. ♥

Guts likes to fight, this is true, but his growth as a socially awkward young mercenary into the hero that dares to challenge the might of a demon god, and all the bonds formed with his friends along the way, is the most important aspect of his character. And you've summed up all of that into one 3.5 minute video. This was awesome and you should feel awesome.
He wants to fight that demon god because he's seeking revenge, which I don't think makes him a hero. He won't hesitate to do anything to get his revenge, maybe ho won't go as far as griffith have gone "or would he?" which in my eyes won't make him a hero but also makes him one of the best fictional characters I've ever known
Random guy on the internet I don't think there are many "true heroes" in the Berserk series, simply because they don't really live too long. That type of sheer blindness to the realities of the world tends to make for a very short life-span. I would say that Guts is a hero because he actually grows throughout the manga series. Berserk is, if you think deeply, one of the saddest animes ever made... he got betrayed, all of his family died, all of his friends died, he got marked and is never safe, his love forgot about him. Man guts rly is the only person in the universe who actually could suicide and nobody would ask why. It would be the best for him tbh... he lost everything even his safety.
you forgot about the little part where he was born from a corpse. forced to work from a young age. father figure betrayed him. got raped. killed his father figure. Survived on his own until the band of the hawk. Honestly those three years with the band of the hawks is the only good moments in his life so far. and yea, the thing happened. He's the personification of that one indian video where the guy says fuck you and the other indian replies "fuck me? fuck you too" and in this case that guy is life and guts is the indian guy.
That’s what makes Guts so great tho. Despite the Hell he’s lived in his entire life, from birth till right now, he keeps going. He gets hit over and over and over, but he keeps going. He is the true embodiment of the human spirit, and a true example of what it means to be human.

Oh man that was powerful, heartfelt, deep, moving, emotional , stirring, passionate and tragically sad. You perfectly weaved everything Guts lost: his family, the band of the hawks, his mentor and brother in arms : the bastard rapist piece of shit traitor who deserves and NEEDS to die, and most dear to him: Casca, who lost her memory and sanity to said bastard. You did it all using nothing more then memorable visuals set to some beautiful music and did it when Guts first saw Casca after the Eclipse, realised what happened to her and the immense gravity of the situation and ran to somehow be free or escape the pain but he couldn't so he just kept on running. This is the most wonderous, thoughtful and beautiful AMV I have ever seen and it was very tough to watch the first time. But ty for this masterpiece.
