My team and I decided to make a video on these 2 subculture to clarify whether Goth and Emo are the same.

@@dutchgonzalez6529 te recomiendo ver cartoons o dibujos animados y cosas de niños. El inglés en eso shows en básico y fasil de aprender. Así aprenden muchoss aquí y así comesene aprender castellano yo. Vi shows de niños por unos 3 a 6 meses y después pasé a otros shows.

This is a topic straight outta 2006 lol...I remember HS back then, the emos seemed to look up to goths, but the goths didn't want at all to be associated with emo, many of them having total disdain for emo. I was a punk rocker but the goths were always super friendly, went to a bunch of goth shows, and I'd always see goths at punk shows.
That's is awesome life experiences you have.
Yes, the subculture differences remain until present. Although, I don't mind emo, I just don't want to be labeled something I'm not.😊

Firstly, I don’t have a visa. Firstly secondly, it is not so easy to get from Russia to Canada now because control has been strengthened due to the war. I understand that this will continue for a certain time while there is a war between Russia and Ukraine and America. I am against this war. But they don’t want to understand anything about who is sitting in politics. Thirdly, I don’t have money now for a ticket. Tickets are very expensive. I come from a poor family. And the majority of the Russian population has very low salaries in Russia. $250-500 per month for ordinary workers.

I was always a Guy who Liked Dark Themes since I was child, during my Teenage I became a Mix of Metal Head Punk and Goth, My Father came From Punk Culture, so I got a little of that, I Still follow Anarchism for example, But I like Dark Themes, and Black clothes, but in music I tend to like specially violent and powerfull music, but also classical ones, and traditional ones, even some Mantras, but a Mix of any Genre, since It has Dark, strong, violent, and with Attitude, even RAP, Metal, Eletro music, my favorite Band is Rammstein by The way

EBM is not goth but industrial and industrial scene ("rivetheads" if you wish) is separate from goth subculture because the have different roots and evolution. (Also different aesthetic and stuff). These subcultures grew up together like cousins and members usually like some aspecst of the other culure musicand share a lot of music actions and festivals, but they are very different.
Also better examples for real emo music would be Rites of Spring or Cap'n Jazz.

Goths are like princesses with flashy dresses and make up, but in black.
Emos are like a book, simple look, but hiding a message behind it's cover

I consider Emos and Goths to be cousins to each other. They are part of the same family but different personalities. I like the colors of the Emos but I also like the dark side of the Goths. I need to start wearing my mild plat form boot to work when I am in a dark mood.

A lot of Gothic culture is down to the Victorian morbid era... Queen Victoria dressed in black after the death of her husband. She was always alone and in mourning... then there is a basis for the dark ages mainly out of the stories of witches etc. There are some Pagan variants, some spiritual... some just because they like the clothes... Question... Mosher's v Emo's are they the same thing? 🤣😂 Lunch or Dinner?
Yeah, a lot of the gothic connection to vampirism, medieval churches, and literature comes from the victorian writers, like Bran Stocker, for example. They were labeled gothic writers, a term used by the thinkers of the reinassance to difirientate themselves from the medieval church dominated mentality of art and architecture . I only know this because my daddy was a certified and graduated historian and goth before he got into business management.🤓😊
About Moshes, I only heard very little about them. Asthetically speaking, I would say they dress differently, but to be honest, Emo like goth are music subculture, so if Moshes listen to Emo rock, then yes, they could be labeled emo.😊

Hay varias razones, y la mayoría no tiene que ver con religión.
1. La subcultura gótica encuentra belleza en lo oscuro. Lápidas en la cultura Cristiana son acompañadas con cruces. Esto conecta la cruz como un símbolo de oscuridad y misterio, nada que ver con religión.
2. Usualmente se conecta con la literatura gótica, como libros sobre vampirismo donde la cruz siempre juega un papel importante. Otra connecionez son con las cruces Germánicas de las tribus goths del pasado. También, se conecta al concepto de la inmortalidad, basado en la literatura vampiristica y por eso hay muchos goths que usa la cruz celta o la Ankh Egipcia.
3. Simplemente por fashion. Muchos nuevos goths ven en la cruz un símbolo estético establecido en la subcultura para completar su ropa.
4. Hay ciertos goths que usan la cruz invertida como símbolo de rechazo a la Cristiandad y su alianza a Satanás.
5. Goth Cristianos: mucho goths son Cristianos y están en la subcultura por la música y fashion. Ellos usan la cruz como símbolo de su creencia y alianza a Cristo.
Este es mi caso, yo uso la cruz, por estética gótica y también por que soy Cristiana, es por eso que nunca uso cruces invertidas.

Covenant is futurepop if we want to go into detail. It was just popular band in darkwave circles. a long time ago. And darkwave is not instrumental music. You probably mistake it with darksynth which is very often labelled with darkwave term. for some reason.
Hi, Luna... I know this video is a year old now but, given your age based off your 100 Sub video I assume you are vary much still in school so I wanted to share a few of my thoughts with you. First off I get why you would be annoyed I can only imagine and I think this is a vary "normal" response. My advice to you would to try not to be so annoyed but, I know that may not be always the easiest thing to do. I'm going to be 29 this month on the 31st and with age the less I get annoyed by things and for me my school years kind of sucked vs now. My life as a adult is much better...this may vary from person to person but, I wanted to give you a older persons prospective and say life does get better at least from my own experience. I don't see myself under one label because I kind of fit into many of the boxes if you will. I first grew up on rock and metal but, found EDM in my later years in life and now doing a deeper dive on industrial. I do wear black pretty much everyday and have been doing that sense I was in like 7th grade and still do to this day. I had a mohawk pretty much though out all of my teen years despite me not really being into punk as a genre. If I had to put a labels on myself I would consider myself a Skater, Metal Head, with elements of emo, goth and punk. I'm a vary emotional person in personal relationships but, give two flying F's what random people or the world thinks. I think you kind of have to know who to share your heart with for your own mental health. If there is anything I can tell you is always do what makes you happy and follow your dreams because YOLO is real and don't let anyone get in the way of that. You may know all this but, if nothing else I wanted to confirm this because you seem like a bright young lady and a vary positive person and the world needs more people like you Luna. Your style is vary much Goth and your outfits are always vary nice.

Thank you so much for sharing.🙏 yeah, I am goth, my dad is goth too, but nobody suspects him to be a goth because he is a very successful senior manager in his company.😊 however, he a corp goth during work and vampire goth at parites.
