@@OldeThunderCC if I happen to come up on a red light I pop it in neutral and try to coast till it's green then pop it back in first but if I have to come to a complete stop and I'm not on an incline I can roll a bit I just give the 103 a little twist of the wrist and pop it in first at the right moment and I'll leave a little rubber but it's possible to get where you need to go if you are an everyday rider waiting on a clutch cable. I actually unscrewed the top half of the cable sheath and tied the end of the cable to my frame where I can reach down with my left hand and pull hard af and I can use the clutch temporarily like that but I find it's quite difficult, more so than just slamming it into a burnout lol
@Steamboattx lucky you can man. That’s dope! I’m running foot clutch hand shift so I had to just throttle hard and power shift. And uh keep rolling reds like I’m taking a right turn but then cut left and keep riding the original road. can’t pull a cable and use the hand shifter at the same time 😂 how’s that dyna tho? I want to build a chopper out of a softail!
@@OldeThunderCC this is my first dyna I've had touring bikes before like street glide and ultra classic and ultra limited but I got this 2016 street bob with 648 miles on it and it needs a little love rn I go thru tires like I go thru socks and like I said the clutch cable broke (evidence points towards foul play) but one thing to look out for on a bike that sat for like 8 years like mine is the rubber motor mount is just gone basically and I need to do a fork rebuild cause it sat for so long the forks wanna flex more than compress lol but honestly I miss my ultra limited but the dyna is so much more nimble and feels amazing with the throttle by cable instead of by wire it's really livens up the 103 with the throttle response. And I love the feel of an old fashioned clutch cable... I've been riding my whole life and hydraulic clutches are like condoms you just can't feel anything lmao I've already blew the head gasket on the front cylinder in a rainy day deep water crossing on the way home from work but I replaced it by myself in my homeboys yard one night and it's got 12k on it now and still running strong so I must have paid attention to the UA-cam videos I watched hahaha one day I'm gonna high lift cam it and port and polish the heads and do valve springs and anything else I can fit in my tiny budget but I stand by the Harley twin cam motor I've had 3 103s and a stage 2 96ci and to me the TC is the ultimate Harley motor. One day I'm gonna get a liter bike cause I like to go fast but I reckon I'll always have a Harley in my life. It's my only transportation but I'd rather ride in the rain than but stuck behind a steering wheel.
hellzzz yeeeah brrruthurrr!!!!

Rippin!
Yeah buddy!
I'm riding my dyna with a broken clutch cable.... Gotta start it in first 😅
What about rolling starts in neutral? Then shift to first.
