Part of a redo on the entire 1990 Bonafide EP. Another song about my departure from my previous band. Despite the aging of the skills and the voice, THIS is what it was always supposed to sound like 33 years ago. While the original recording got the job done in some ways, it wound up too "poppy" in the end, despite my best efforts then, and too muddy, especially the bass, because of all the pick scratching on the strings by the guilty party. That is the most humane explanation I can give to my then agitation and frustration, because I SOOO wanted it to be a “band effort”, though I knew that would NEVER get me what was possible and what I was looking for then…. and now. Ahhh, the could-as, should-as, would-as, especially the “would-as…..”
All instruments and vocals (this time) courtesy of M. Corcoran (the "last man standing"). Sometimes when you want something done right....
    Lyrics:
I try to tell you what I'm thinking, I try to make it all so clear.
But you're too busy blinking and clarity's the thing you fear.
When black and white stares you in the face, you paint your world as some
    some gray place,
Where there is no right or wrong and we can't survive like this too long.
I can't talk to you; no, I can't talk to you
You tell me that you need me and all those lines you feed me
Blur into a wall of sound that I can't get around.
And now I find no pleasure in the things we used to treasure,
And you just laugh it off, so now I'm jumping off.
I can't talk to you; no, I can't talk to you.
And now you're free to sit and whine about how life's so unkind,
And nothing you can do will change it
So why bother to rearrange it
When you can just sit there and fade away.
You say there is no reason, you say there is no sense,
And babble on and on about how life's coincidence.
And you believe everything you read but don't believe in what you say.
And you make plans for your tomorrows, but you're already history.
I can't talk to you; no, I can't talk to you.

The sound quality is MUCH better on Bandcamp than the transistor AM radio sound here on UA-cam, there are no commercials if you stream it there (unlike here, where I am not paid for the commercialization of my music by UA-cam), and no one harasses you every 3 songs on a playlist to find out if you're "still listening?", which is a real drag to have to continuously respond to if you're busy doing something else while listening.
More importantly, I am apparently being punished by this platform for listening to my own music, by having large numbers of views being subtracted by YT as “punishment” for that the more I do so (despite having NOWHERE near the number of views to monetize my channel), yet every time I scroll past one of their ridiculous recommendations that they habitually make for me to watch, I find those items I had no interest in and DID NOT SELECT winding up in my watch history as views for those (ridiculous) suggestions. I can not wait for the day when RUMBLE gets its ease-of-use issues corrected and relegates this Nazi scam of a platform to the “woke” dustbin of history. That said, if you want a free download of this song, follow the Bandcamp link and just type in "0" when it asks you what you want to pay. If you join that site and want to STREAM it there, you would have to pay a $1 minimum for this track.
But I made downloading FREE for my music there.
