Fourth song from upcoming album, "Flacco Loco", due out winter 2024/25. A back in the day song about the nuns I used to deal with at my (Catholic) grammar school, where they taught you how to diagram sentences and be afraid of EVERYTHING, including “God”. A form of "grooming", if you will, not all that different from the current crop of "groomers", just coming from opposite ends of the damage spectrum.
I was taught “God” created man in his own image. What I eventually realized is that, in ALL religions, man has actually created “God” in HIS own image. And why does a one need a “middle man” system between themselves and their deity anyway? Though at least with the nuns, you learned some grammar and long division at the same time.
All instruments and vocals courtesy of M. Corcoran (the "last man standing").
Lyrics:
Sit down, shut up, do what you're told!
It's time that you learned just who's in control.
You're the sheep and we're the slaughter.
And you can't change the existing order.
Just who do you think you are with that attitude?
That's what we want to know.
We won't let you get far with that attitude.'
Just where do you think you're gonna go?
Boy, you've got no head for tradition.
It's time you develop some superstition.
Something to believe in, and there'll be no question
About who is driving and in which direction.
Just who do you think you are with that attitude?
That's what we want to know.
We won't let you get far with that attitude.'
Just where do you think you're gonna go?
I think it's time you understand.
Welcome to the promise land.
We're the light at the end of your tunnel.
Just do as you're told and there'll be no trouble.
Just who do you think you are with that attitude?
That's what we want to know.
We won't let you get far with that attitude.'
Just where do you think you're gonna go?
Out of our convent holes we crawl.
Preying on the young and small.
We preach an ideal that becomes a raw deal.
You learn how to stand, then we teach you to kneel.

The sound quality is MUCH better on Bandcamp than the transistor AM radio sound here on UA-cam, there are no commercials if you stream it there (unlike here, where I am not paid for the commercialization of my music by UA-cam), and no one harasses you every 3 songs on a playlist to find out if you're "still listening?", which is a real drag to have to continuously respond to if you're busy doing something else while listening.
More importantly, I am apparently being punished by this platform for listening to my own music, by having large numbers of views being subtracted by YT as “punishment” for that the more I do so (despite having NOWHERE near the number of views to monetize my channel), yet every time I scroll past one of their ridiculous recommendations that they habitually make for me to watch, I find those items I had no interest in and DID NOT SELECT winding up in my watch history as views for those (ridiculous) suggestions. I can not wait for the day when RUMBLE gets its ease-of-use issues corrected and relegates this Nazi scam of a platform to the “woke” dustbin of history. That said, if you want a free download of this song, follow the Bandcamp link and just type in "0" when it asks you what you want to pay. If you join that site and want to STREAM it there, you would have to pay a $1 minimum for this track.
But I made downloading FREE for my music there.
