My husband’s uncle, Pete Small, grew up with Tom Jones in Wales. They were in a band together. Pete is mentioned on the back cover of his album Along Came Jones (1965).
Tom IS really perfect in his whole person .what a talent ,what a voice , what a beauty.i am born in 1947 and I have been following Tom's Amazing career since 1966. I love him with all m'y Heart. Hé really deserves respect and love. long live Tom Jones and Wales ❤️
Tom does a beautiful heartfelt rendition of "Danny Boy." The most beautiful rendition of this song I ever heard was by Caitlin Heaney. Happy Friday 🥳 Thank you for sharing! 💖
@ I had the lp “ Fever Zone “ which featured Tom singing this tune. Years later I got the Shindig shows featuring Jackie Wilson on VHS , a show around 1965 features Jackie singing this song exactly like Tom did later. I believe Tom’s lp was in 1967 ! So the arrangement definitely copied. But I must add , they both did an outstanding job of singing with great voices.
The Best of The Best!!😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
No one sings this song like Tom. The Irish tenor’s sing it beautifully, but Tom brings the soulful passion and drama!

Tom Jones is so hot that the local fire department uses him during training exercises.
Tom Jones sang this song during halftime of the XIX Super Bowl as he’s a Marino fan. Didn’t help.
Do you know if that is on video anywhere. It is a long time ago but I'm looking for it. Thanks.
His version is very similar to Jackie Wilson’s .
He copied the arrangement from Jackie Wilson's 1965 recording, and the vocals show Wilson's influence as well.
