What destroyed me was what she said as well: shut up, your making my life H**L. You never say that to a child. Because even though your five year old doesn’t know what it means quite yet they will know what shut up means and they will feel as though they aren’t wanted and they will repeat that to you when you ask them of something. That wasn’t okay on her part to say that to him and I hope he never repeated that to her…I’m stressed: enough wirh the excuses mom: your actually part of the cause for their behavior and you should be saying SORRY to Daniel and giving him a cuddle right now

I don't care how much a child is "in trouble" or "misbehaving" if that child is asking/begging for a cuddle/hug...Give them that.
My son was like this in the beginning. But when I started showing him affection no matter his behavior, & explained when & why the bad behavior was & not appreciated. He started to turn about. 💕🛐🌈👼🏻☮️❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍

Slowly kills the daddy long leg - pulling and pinching its legs, shaking it around then throws it on the floor and runs away to "find another one!"...🤦‍♀I'm no tree-hugger or sensitive snowflake but watching kids who obviously haven't been taught and uncounsiously hurt animals irks me! That dad sitting there could have shown him how to gently put the little bug outside and leave it alone, ugh. Bugs alot of times are some of the first animals your child comes in close contact with and is handling, respect for all creatures/animals especially smaller than you should start being taught immediately, even with bugs! Then when they get around kittens, puppies they already have some empathy built in and some manners - AND helps prevent them from getting hurt/scratched/bit themselves! I'm always amazed by how often I see some kid roughly handling an animal and the parents just stand there or take a video thinking its cute..then their kid gets it in the face and oh my god that beast attacked my child!! 🤦‍♀🤣🤣

Right you are. Like you, I hate watching children pull ears and tails etc. and agree children should be taught how to gently handle animals. The most docile pet in the world can lose his patience with too much poking and pulling.

Another ho hum episode compared to previous seasons. On previous seasons there was always a perfectly wicked behaving child that grabbed our interest. Week after week we could not wait to see what the spoiled brat was going to get away with next while our favorite psychologist Dr. Tanya Byron diagnosed the condition. Some parents were allowing their children to run their lives and one couldn't help but have strong opinions fueled by the emotions we experienced while watching the drama unfold. This is like peewee hockey compared to the NHL.
But still hectic for this season. Hannah, mother of two sets of twins showed a very un-nurturing side when the child Daniel was crying and holding his arms out begging for a cuddle and was pushed away and told that she didn't hug bad boys. I found that heartbreaking. It was their "observation" day so Lorraine and Elizabeth didn't comment. Any mothers out there ever push away your weeping toddler pleading to be held as Hannah did?
All around the timeout system used there turned into what you all predicted - an ineffective joke.
We got to listen into the pillow talk from the Morgans about the older son Morgan who acts like a grownup man in a child's body. He appears to be a thoroughly thoughtful, empathetic and engaging child. It was nice to hear how much they love and appreciate Morgan. The father is showing an insecure side as his wife becomes more confident. That mother definitely wouldn't push a child away and tell him he's bad in response to him needing a hug.
I agree wholeheartedly with other viewers comments on couple number three, the one where the young mom suffers from depression so her partner called off their wedding. One should not act superior because he does not experience depression himself. The psychologists will have to work with that couple or mom will only get worse while enduring silent treatments and indifference.

Its these 2 clueless"England's leading" psychologists and horrible format thats making this an almost useless experience for these families...Dr. Tanya (by herself) helped all the families just fine in seasons 1-3!
And wow 5 kids, sounds like you're a good mom and knew what you were doing - shows that its totally possible to have multiple children that are well behaved!! No reason for all this ridiculous behavior.. some of these moms have just one and can't get it together, every excuse in the book to not step up!

Rod in the Bible does not mean beating someone, it means correction, disipline by teaching and guidance and consequences for bad choices. God hate violance. Firm, clear , loving parenting that follows up consequences and rules, bounderies and routines for kids. Alot of outdoors activities, nature, hiking, being together, spend time with them. As child who was the only one ever punished, it is never right to hit a child. I am mentally scarred, still, at 69, by my father singling me out. Granted I was the eldest by 8 years but I did not deserve what I got. Yes it was a case of my father being hit so he hit me. There were also times when I did not recieve medical treatment as it was deemed my own fault. Because my toe was broken and not treated I have real problems with it now. Yes I can be infuriating because I don't just take things at face value but looking back at the inequalities at home just makes me realise I may not have been wanted, full stop. But hey, I had people at The Salvation Army and at school who cared and I think I am a better person than my siblings because I was scapegoated, certainly made me more aware and wanting to stand up for the underdog.
