    The matter what i do my hair will never be that manageable without sections. If i dont leave it in sections through out it tangles up and my hair is the same length as yours and i get trims and everything

    • @Tyiece

      Maybe the products you’re using isn’t effective for your hair. I notice some products helps with manageability and some don’t. Try experimenting until you find the perfect fit.

      @@Tyiece I can't wash my hair without sections either. It's not a product issue, it's just not an option for everyone. My hairstylist doesn't wash my hair in sections and it drives me nuts because my hair just gets so tangled - and that's with using pro products. Everything ain't for everybody.

    • @penelopegcina
      @penelopegcina 2 роки тому +1

      My hair does the same thing. That's why I started separating into four sections even when I shampoo and then when I apply conditioner I can twist within those sections. This also makes it easier to wash out the products.

      @@Goodshihh her hair doesn’t look 4c to me but even if it is, everyone’s hair is different. There’s no one thing that’s going to work for everyone. I learned the hard way about not washing in sections and I’m not letting one girl on the internet change that for sure. At the end of the day if not washing in sections works for you, do it. If what you’re doing is working for you KEEP DOING IT. She’s not you, she’s never dealt with your hair and she’s not your stylist. Take what she says with a grain of salt.

    But the question is how do you know if your hair is healthy if you don’t blow dry it or straighten it to do a length check??? I just saw a trend from TikTok where people show how their hair is beautiful and curly and it’s looks so healthy but when they finished blow drying or straightening they have extreme breakage and messed up ends….something they can’t see with their natural hair is curly 😭 now I’m stressed ! Loll

    • @toyinaina6747
      @toyinaina6747 2 роки тому +1

      Blowdrying and straightening aren't essential. I've NEVER straightened my hair. You don't need to blow dry hair to know if it's healthy . The way it feels and how your ends look in styles (if it thins out for example) will tell you. You can do length checks with a measuring tape. As for the people on tiktok they may be using wrong methods to blow dry that's why it looks unhealthy but their hair may actually be healthy.

    • @Sisima13
      @Sisima13 2 роки тому

      @@toyinaina6747 I never said it was essential. For someone who’s new to the natural hair world like me I can’t tell when my ends are messed up if it curly. I don’t straighten or blow dry my hair often and when I do I’m very careful. It’s way easier for me to check if my ends are healthy that way. That’s why I’m asking how do we know if hair is healthy without having to do all that…because I have no idea. She’s been natural way longer than I have so might as well ask in the comment section even though she might now answer 🤷🏾‍♀️

    • @apara2005
      @apara2005 2 роки тому +1

      This is sooo true. You have to at least do a soft blowout sometimes because it's hard to see the health. My stylist recommends every 3 - 4 month.
      Now, I do not do it myself, I go to her. And when she blows it out. She doesn't a very light blow just to stretch it (so my hair is still a bit damp) then she trims the ends (if needed) and reshapes...if needed. I Might not be explaining this well because I'm not a professional stylist. But it's hardly any heat applied. Sometimes I wait 5M depending on the covid variant that's out 😷 🤣.

    Prepoo is great for detangling b4 I wash but my hair hates Conditioners as a prepoo. Aloe vera gel and olive oil works great for me. If my hair has alot of build up I like to put ACV on my scalp & hair to loosen it up so when I shampoo my hair doesn't get matted.

    • @Tyiece
      @Tyiece  2 роки тому

      Low porosity thrives off of steam. So try deep conditioning weekly under a steamer, dryer or hot cap. Cleanse with a clarifying shampoo or clay mask at least twice a month.
