I spoof, if I get banned, I'll just quit. This game has never been fair for all trainers. A trainer in NYC will always be better than me if I play without spoofing because of where I live. I've never flexed on a regular player and I don't see why spoofing is so bad - I am not hurting anyone
I have played naturally for the first 3 years, and hatched perfects powered them up and and can still get beat so having or spoofing for perfects doesn't hurt the game just Niantics pockets
Niantic was always bound to have spoofers once they introduced region locks. A few ideas that could limit/decrease spoofers 1. International trade days, u can still limit the special trades but on those days allow world wide trade with friends overseas could help a lot. 2. Massively increase spawn rates in rural areas. Or allow them to submit something like a lamp post or a letter box as a pokestop if their area is lacking in land marks. 3.rotate regionals more often. I understand they're region locked for a reason but a lot of people live their entire lives never leaving their country of birth. 4. Revert back to covid settings. That brought a lot of players back for a reason. Just some random ideas.
I suspect they might allow some long distance trades once they get the official chat implemented. With the chat all players will have a way to coordinate the trades. They may never do that but I think they will.
In defense of spoofers, they help out in raids so much as a solo raider. I wonder if SF will still have the presence that it did whenever I head out to the city to grind.
Yes! And on top of that, they need to let us invite more than 5 people to a raid & let anyone who is in the raid, invite others & not just the host, until the raid has 20 people in it

Much agreed. In EVERY other Pokémon video game since the very beginning, you leave your house from Bumfuck, Egypt, and catch Pokémon in the wild in the rural areas. You do battles in the towns/cities. Niantic literally does the opposite and it would give incentive for people to get outdoors and away from the cities. Last time I checked, I didn’t see any deer walking around on hot pavement by 3rd and Main… Maybe if I put some stanky Incense out I will. 😂💯

This game has never ever had a level playing field and it's Niantic's direct fault. They need to auto generate pokestops and amp up the spawns in rural areas because the difference based on where you live is like night and day. Urban player's bags overflowing with PokeBalls and more spawns than they could ever catch, infinite field research, and the chance to actually use their free raid pass while rural players desperately scrounge for items and carefully consider whether every ball they throw is worth it or not and maybe one pokemon spawn every couple hundred feet while missing out on field research with rare rewards and now paying a premium for remote raid passes because Niantic hiked up the price. I've been a pokemon fan since I was a child. Why should I miss out out on what Pokemon go has to offer with rare mythicals, pokemon, and easier shinies all because the contract was given to an awful company that doesn't care about rural players that made a fundamentally unfair game?
Niantic is at fault that spoofers even exist. I started playing back when the game released. The day it was made public to everyone, I rushed out of the house all excited to only see nothing in the nearby (I lived in a very small town). I kept walking around, forest, fields and kept wondering why there is nothing. Until I saw one pidgey in the nearby. Tracked it down and that was my adventure done. The only time I got to see more pokemon was when I started working at a castle, there was quite more life than in my town. Multiple pokestops, castle park was a nest on top of it, lot of spawns, I spent hour after work going around and catching stuff. The difference between small town and this castle was insane. Same as when I went to the city. Incomparable and yet it wasnt like crazy. When I see online screenshots or videos of the spawns some people have... Even the difference between my city and those cities is insane. Now that I live in a big city, main city in south Bohemia region of Czech Republic. Compare that to some cities in Japan or America where you cant even click pokestops and pokemon because there is so many and its like comparing village to a city. The differences are just way too big. They need to increase spawns and approve more criteria for pokestops. We cant place more pokestops because there is nothing here at some places. Really people here try their hardest to get something valid to be approved for a pokestop. Most common being sculpture or some kind of part of building thats historical or kid playgrounds. Thats literally it. I have been looking around my area what could be a good place for a pokestop and best I could find was a garden of a man that lives few doors from us and makes the garden kind of an art, placing children toy figures and making some kind of scene from it. But that wont get approved. So sadly cant do much at my house besides waiting for that one single spawn of a pokemon I get.
This is so stupid that a company wants to make a AR game which implies realism of some degree, yet make a game with wild creatures appear in cities and have things called pokestops. It's just stupid. The reverse is supposed to happen. Animals exist in wild not in cities, at least not wild animals. Mostly. Sure this could be dangerous to ask people to go to forests, mountains etc, but either make it realistic to some degree or just don't even do an AR game or any game that implies realism. The only thing AR is used for by the players in this game is quick catch anyway. It is the farthest thing from what it promised.
I think I'll just quit. Gas costs too much to drive to any place with enough pokestops nearby. I have to walk over a mile to find the first pokestop. My wife hates how much time (I used to) spend on POGO. I'm not a UA-camr who can travel and use it as a tax write-off. See ya Niantic! I'm done.
I’ve been thinking about that lately. These UA-camrs get tax write offs on everything they buy within the game and travel exspenses. I’m sure Niantic also compensates them through free items at least from time to time. They have the ability to travel and ability to buy hundreds of passes and other items. No hate to the UA-camrs but sometimes this needs to be put into perspective for the rest of us.

Even the mewtwo shadow raids that happened this weekend gone (may 2023 for any future folk reading this), my home town literally had empty lobbies the entire time. The fact they made these local only was forcing those who wouldn't normally spoof to do so. And all the travel, we don't have the money to just take time off work to travel across the world, especially when you can do all of it in the comfort of your home while spoofing. I'm a spoofer and I make no apologies for it, and I see all the youtubers with 5000 mewtwo candies, when I only have like 258 in total, they were able to buy all those raid passes pretty much free of charge to do all those raids and from previous mewtwo raids.
I was banned for 30 days FALSELY about 2 years ago (NEVER had a 3rd party app, never gave my info out, never even had the 7 day ban first, etc - 100% legit account). I tried to communicate with Niantic for the entire 30 days to try to answer my questions, fix it, look at my history, etc. All I ever got were BOT replies and nothing happened in those 30 days. Niantic customer support sucks big time.
Niantic “we want things to be a fair playing field” Also Niantic “we want our big events to be inaccessible to the majority of the fan base” Never spoofed, but the hypocrisy of choosing random cities around the globe that people cannot physically get to with specific, unique rewards encourages this behavior.

@@zahin8470 tropius isnt a brazillian spawn for the record, that would be the entire african continent I believe, we here have chatot and maractus ;) plus I dont think regionals are an issue aside from pokedex completion because most, if not all regionals are plain uninteresting pokemon as raid attackers or pvp-wise, the most useful regional imo is heracross because good stats as fighter type and upcoming mega, but it was available in raids worldwide some time ago so no problem i guess?
I personally don't care if someone spoofs or not. More power to them if that what they enjoy. It's not like it's taking anything away from anyone else. We're not playing against each other except in PVP and even then it's not like you're losing loot if you lose in PVP. I say let players play the way they want and it's a win win for everyone. I would bet spoofers spend more money than the regular player base does as well.
You’ve hit the nail right on the head. A couple of my friends spoof. They’ve spent money on tickets for a ton of pogo events. Even that stupid Mr Mime one. Just recently they bought tickets for the go fests in Seattle and Sapporo. Say what you want about the spoofers, Niantic, but it won’t change the fact that they are your cash cows.
Agreed. Well when I spoof I don’t even think I’m playing “Pokemon Go” anymore, I’m playing another game that has different functions and rules such as cooldowns, and the goal is to get hundos and shinies, and I’m getting fun in that. But apparently I got the first strike a few days ago, so now I stopped spoofing, and since I’m banned currently I can’t see any wild pokemon spawns, but I’m still playing the game for a while everyday because of the daily incense, I guess they maybe did a ban wave and add the incense in to kind of send a message to all spoofers, anyways I started to enjoy the game again. But I will not stop spoofing, well at least not too often as before, I may just spoof around my city and maybe sometimes teleport to my friend’s location to trade with them, if they add distance trades, the game is gonna be a lot fun.
I by far spent more money on the game spoofing compared to not, i need raid passes lol and plus all i want to is raid and catch pokemon, also you can't do raids by yourself, that's why i spoof
Honestly I wish they'd put this much focus and attention into listening to the trainers that play this game how it was intended to be played because right now it doesn't seem like they care what the community says like for example the removal of the free remote raid passes and rising the price of them many people weren't happy but they did it anyway.
Niantic clearly said they want players to play the game THEY (Niantic) want it to be played, which evidently implies they could care less about what the players want.
Maybe if they made the game more enjoyable for players who live in less densely populated areas people wouldn't spoof.... Niantic should take a look at their game and question why people do it, and address some of those faults as well. Silly.
Honestly, I couldn't give two craps about what spoofers are doing. I'd rather Niantic spend their time fixing the white screen of death glitch. That affects me way more than someone I don't know, doing something that has no bearing on my game.
I got that white screen yesterday as I was just starting a pvp battle in the Retro Cup. I was hella confused because that’s never happened to me. Because I closed the app, the battle was consider a lost.
If you want people to ''play like you do'', then you need to tell Niantic to give everyone tickets to exclusive events like in Berlin, Safari zones to get these pokemon to play like you do.
I totally disagree with one of your first comments. Niantic doesn't care about a level playing field. They only care about money or they would implement pokestops everywhere for rural people to. Their system is setup so only wealthy can catch them all without cheating. Not everyone can spend thousands on the game and traveling to catch a regional or attending an event that is only in one city. Personally I have never spoofed but I definitely don't blame those that do. As far as unfair advantage goes I would say that belongs to people with so much money they can waste it traveling for a game while others are starving
Agreed and it's not like the spoofers get infinite raid passes and items like these UA-camrs to do 20+ raids a day I get there spending money on the game but if there trying to level the playing feild this isn't the way to do it they should put more pokestops and gyms in rural areas and take away the 50 limit a day maybe 20-25 per gym or no limit at all.
Niantic needs to fix their game. Ask yourselves “why does some of the community spoof” you do realize that where I live I can’t even get into any 5 star raids because there aren’t 20 players in them. Causing them to be IMPOSSIBLE to get any legendaries. Some spoofers just travel in order to be able to get THE FULL EXTENT OF THE GAME. It is simply unfair for the rest of us who aren’t in the big areas to be able to play alongside other players. Fix the game.
Bro, remote raiding has been a thing, and if you can't hardly do a 5 star raid then I know you DEFINITELY don't have 400 friends. Find the 5 star raid, go into poke genie or poke raid and say you are hosting, and host it to 5/10 players. Only pokemon you'll ever need the full 10 for is defense deoxys. Nearly everything else can be trio'd if not quaded nowadays.
I started spoofing since you cant 1V1 mewtwo right? My friends laugh at me since we are all old now and cant do that. But since spoofing was available we can now go raids or join mewtwo level raids in our house while relaxing from a hard day work.
I don't care about spoofers that catch hundo's everywhere and anywhere, I do despise spoofers that take every gym in my town so you can't farm daily coins if you're a different team. The game is extremely unfair unless you're rich or sponsored by Niantic, so it's no wonder some people spoof. Making events in only 3 cities is really unfair on players that can't travel that far. Niantic have a lot of work to make this game level for all players, chasing spoofers isn't the answer.
Those griefing gyms are mostly bots that automatically retake the gym once it’s lost. I think it’s dumb and personally I never took gyms even in areas that are all spoofers with minimal to no real players.
@@MultiPlaneApprentice A smart player controls multiple gyms per day. A dumb player only controls one gym in the hope of racking up 8 hours and 20 minutes and getting knocked out before midnight.

Ive spoofed pretty consistently since 2017… i havent touched a gym, unless it was for special research, or the one time every 3 months id notice an open spot and drop one in, since 2016 lol. Gyms are no fun and 50 coins a day is irrelevant
Niantic: we want everyone to have a fair playing field but makes events across the world and can only play them if you have money or make UA-cam a career. I love your videos. Just sucks for people like me who is a single mother who plays the game to relax and feel young again and can't travel due to not being able to afford to go around the world.
I’m a single mom who plays and can’t afford to travel, also. Hopefully the Tour events will eventually allow me to complete my Pokédex. I have been splurging on tickets for those.
So @The Trainer Club, hopefully you’ve been reading the comments on your video here. Has it all shaken out the way you expected it to go? I would suppose not since majority of the comments are stating they are ok with spoofing and/or explaining why they have felt forced to spoof themselves. Billy, you are out of touch with the average player base and have an unfair advantage being sponsored by Niantic and being flown around the world to every single event. You’ve got several shundo in 6 years while 99% of players who have played legit in 6 years have 0 shundos. Literally no one can afford to fly to 3-5 continents per summer to play imaginary animal fest but yet hey, all the content creators can, so please DONT SPOOF! Once Niantic makes this game more fair and equitable by allowing the same number of stops and gyms across every 1 square mile radius across the board, they will inherently prevent people from wanting to spoof and the game will truly become about how hard you grind! It’s not fair to someone like me who can walk for hours in my area to get maybe 40 spawns while someone in NYC or Tokyo can access thousands of resources and spawns per day for walking less than half that time!!! Have a talk with your buddies at Niantic Billy, and stop shoving the Niantic corporate propaganda down our throats when you HIGHLY benefit from them, yourself.
I hope he reads the comments section on this video because I agree with what you said and he is not a bad guy but needs to come back to the reality of most players.
I don't spoof either but if this is an issue they want to solve, they need to look past just the action of people doing it and think about the reasons why. They want to "make it a fair and level playing field" without addressing the obvious real world causes. Obtaining regional pokemon by traveling to that area means people have the money, the means of transportation, no disability, and the freedom to get off work for a week to fly to Australia or something.That makes this fun reward a regional only available to the well off and affluent. That's very classist and privileged, and separating players instead of making a community. Does Niantic live in the real world or a fantasy land where we can all just hop on planes easily multiple times let alone once in people's lifetimes? Ben F listed some great solutions to make this a more fair and level playing field for everyone, that they should listen to! 1. International trade days (free trading) 2. Same amount of spawns and pokestops in rural areas as in cities. Who is it hurting? it's not taking experience from anyone else, just giving everyone the same opportunity! 3. Getting rid of city specific events, or at least release the location 3+ months in advance so people can buy plane tickets or plan a vacation around it. Literally just be realistic with how everyone in the world prepares to travel in other situations its so easy. 4. For paid events like Go Fest, give everyone the EXACT same experience. Same spawn rates, same number of pokestops to get research, making raiding more accessible by allowing players to coordinate with each other on the app via a chat. If I'm paying money I want the same experience as you in Berlin. 5. Don't punish people with disabilities if they are not able to walk 25km. 6. All pokemon youtubers should go play in a rural area for an event, so you can advocate for the people paying your salary. I bet you would be a lot more understanding and sympathetic if there were no pokestops near you to put lures at to multiply your spawns.
I don't spoof, I don't like it, but I understand it. Very good pointing out that this game is almost for rich people, regarding the points you listed 1.- Totally agree 2.- Agreed also, in fact I would have unique spawns in rural areas and cities, people that lives in rural areas some times need to go to the city and city people go to rural areas on vacation or days off 3.- Agreed 4.- Agreed in part, they should spawn far more temporary gyms/pokestops for the event around the world, but in-game chat should never happen, it adds an entire new layer of issues to Niantic and everyone who plays the game, specially kids: Bulling, harassment, predatory behavior, etc. That's a big NO, if you are an adult you can coordinate things joining a discord or wsp/fb groups. So regarding in-game chat, the cons are far too bad (for everyone) in comparison to the pros 5.- Spoofing should be allowed if you meet certain conditions like disabilities, proofing that is the difficult part 6.- True
Honestly I would think that most people wouldn't be spoofing if it wasn't for the unfair nonsense that Niantic impliments in the first place. Not everyone can afford to travel. Not everyone has the ability to travel. Not everyone can physically go outside or move around. All the restrictions they've been doing on people and in the game can and will and has pushed people to the point where they can't enjoy the game. Some take it that step further and find other ways to "repair" what Niantic has broken. Seriously nerfing the insence is BS number one. My dad is disabled and cannot play community days with me any longer since my new dumb job requires me to work weekends. He has to miss out on most of the fun since the nerfed insense. Remote passes...I live in a rual area with ONE GYM and none of my friends would even come out this way since the way crappy cell phone service, which is pretty much non-existant. Niantic isn't making people get back out in the open again, it's seriously taking away and restricting those that have a difficult time in that in the first place NO ONE is going to stop going out!!! I've seen people turn to spoof BECAUSE of the crap that's going on. All the locks on regional Pokemon is stupid too. I'll NEVER get to those countries. I have no money for travel let alone a passport and anyone that would simply fly to India to get a Pokemon has issues. Buy it on ebay haha.....but yeah, Niantic caused all of the spoofing to happen in the first place and now they're trying to correct it by beating the beast they created. How about allow remote trading with some restrictions? How about make it just for lucky trades? There's so many things Niantic can do to fix the game and make it enjoyed BY ALL but they keep nerfing things or removing things. How about they listen to the players for a change and fix the issues they have or changes that would help the game?? But nah, I guess it's more important to make a more realistic sky in the game.
Yes! All of this. I’m in a big city and am disabled. It’s still hard to play now. The nerfed incense has really diminished the enjoyment from the game. I don’t spoof but I know disabled players who started after the nerfed incense and the remote raid pass price hike. Disabled people are poor yet put so much money into the game just to raid. Don’t get me wrong I understand it’s the players choice but you’d think a company would show value to all players. Just like everything else, this world is only for the wealthy able bodied.
It doesn't matter how "fair" Niantic could make the game, people will still cheat if they can. If spoofers want to continue, let 'em. And if they get caught and banned, I guess they the penalty. They've been warned. :)
I used to spoof years ago. Not like a madman. Public transit in my town is terrible, shady people all over the place and a lack of gyms/stops. Most of my students spoofed as well, because most of them (13-17) did not trust traveling out of town. One of my students was/is paralyzed, and couldn't play at all until spoofing became an option. None of us got more shinnies than our "fair players" nor did we take over gyms that were not ours. It was supplemental to offset the physical and economical barriers that we all face. Since the ban waves, none of those players are active anymore. I still play casually (and completely fair now), but the hardships are still there and in-game price increases make spoofing look tempting again. The best way to solve the "spoofing issue" is to do what they can within their game to make spoofing an unnecessary option. Banning players with take down good people as well.
I agree and disagree. My opinion is that niantic have ultimately made the game completely unfair to play. Regional Pokémon that are out of reach. Unless like you said someone actually goes to that specific location around the world at a cost. So called in game tasks, egg hatches, raids etc etc has now become nothing but a money Gamble which leads me to my next point. Pogo has ultimately become a gambling format without the up front percentages of said point in game. Stating you may be lucky is not an actual statement but a tease. Some very very big companies have been sued for this exact thing, I myself have been drawn into that gambling bracket before now when chasing a specific hatch or raid shiny. Never again. Example last 7k egg hatch I managed to complete 189 egg hatches in the week to absolutely no shiny hatch. So once again if they are going to do these they need to be stating the percentage of possibility on an encounter across the board. Rant over hope everyone has fun and good luck to everyone in Berlin

As a player who played legit for 2+ years and now spoof here's my take. I'm spoofing fully knowing the risk I'm taking. If my account gets caught then so be it.. I knew the risk. Now if you are spoofing and bragging about your shundo's/hundo's then that's pretty lame as anyone who spoofs knows how easy it is to get them. I started spoofing after taking a year off because the cost to drive to raids or drive to areas with higher spawns was out weighing the reward. Is it unfair to spoof- sure. Is it unfair that higher populated areas get more spawns? Yes. If you don't want people to spoof then create an even playing field for spawns not based on location/population. If I could get the same spawns in my neighborhood as I do in Osaka, Japan then I wouldn't spoof! As a father of two kids with hardly any time in the day spoofing gives me the opportunity to have fun in the game after putting the kids to sleep. To each their own but ultimately I'm not hurting anyone (I rarely PVP) I mainly just raid/catch mons and spoofing has provided a ton of fun in the game again.
I understand that bro. Also not all spoofing are created equally. If you jump from location to location to catch hundos and rank 1 pokemons then yeah that's unfair. But if you stay in a rural area with one pokestop and some stays in Downtown Newyork then how is that fair. If all you do is play in a dense area where more people raid regularly and then there are higher spawns then I feel that's fine. People who love the game will pay regardless of whether they spoof or not. But people who can't play without spoofing would just stop playing. Especially given how they have nerfed Incense
I do the the same I spend more money now that I spoof cause now I can do raids rather than where I live it's a struggle to get 4 for a legendary raid . I'll take the first two strikes before I quit spoofing
I'm the opposite. I started spoofing because my ex had taken my level 50 account that was purely legit. And I lost all hope. But I was spoofing but about a week ago I stopped spoofing and I'm playing legit now.
Years ago, my nephew was burned severely. Had to stay in hospital for 4 entire months, summer included. He was a huge fan of Pokemon Go, but was gonna miss the whole summer. I played regular as well and somehow stumbled onto spoofing methods. Showed him how to do it. It was probably the best gift I have ever given to anyone. 4 months flew by, he was able to participate in all summer events, stayed in touch with his friends and was able to show all these great pokemon he caught. I don’t care if it is ‘illegal’, I made a kid happy, not Niantics bank account.
Maybe if Niantic made the game more accessible for players in Rural/ village areas where stops are rare and Spawns are the same 4 or 5 pokemon every day. I spoof but I spoof so I can actually enjoy all the game offers.
There is no level playing field when you can travel the world and play all these go fests and 99.9% of players cannot. Who has the money to travel to 5 countries to play Pokémon Go during just the summer starting with Spain?!? With paid transactions there is no level playing field. Spoofing isn’t bad at all. Hmm spoof or drive 30 min to a park for a Mewtwo gym? Then drive home. Niantic has made it very unfair from the start between cities and rural communities.

Absolutely ridiculous. I actually laughed when he said getting a lot of shundos was a “toxic flex”. It literally does not effect you whatsoever how other people play the game. If someone has 1000 shundos then why would you care? Just move on with your day and ignore that person on the internet if it bothers you that much. No one has ever been on level playing field in this game ever. People in the big cities can easily dominate anyone else with spawns, raids, shiny chances, poke stops, etc. Semi decent cities even less and rural areas are practically pointless to play in. Niantic can blame none other than themselves for helping push people towards spoofing. Cause a pokestop has to be “interesting” in order to appear at all. Sorry my town isn’t that interesting, Niantic. We still still need poke stops and gyms to play in the meantime. And this a damn Pokémon game ffs. Just let people have fun in their Pokémon game and mind your own business if you don’t like it.
yep anyone living in ny has alway had a BIG advantage over someone living in fargo, its never been fair- those players don't have stops/gyms or people conquer qyms with!
Hey Billy, I would love an opportunity to debate you on this. I do enjoy some of your live streams and info videos, but lately you have been posting a lot of show off videos. It's hard to support you when you publish these show off videos. Not all of us are supported by Niantic and have hundreds, if not thousands of patreons backing us like you do. Remember, you are posting this video in Berlin. My entire 6 year pokemon go career I have traveled once for this game. You get to globe hop on someone's dime. You get to attend all these events, all over the world for free. There are so many problems with pokemon go. Niantic refuses to be transparent with anything. Niantic continues to charge more and more, while delivering less and less. Not to mention the amount of bugs in this game they refuse to address. Yes, the anti-spoofing software caught me and I'm on a 7 day warning. But for a game that has so many bugs and demands so much of my time and money, it gets to a point where I have to ask myself if it's even worth it to play anymore. After 2 disappointing go fests and with Niantic as money hungry as ever, I'm starting to think it's not. Let people play how they want to play. When Niantic bans all the spoofers, let's see how much in profits they will see. Spoofers are your hard-core gamers. Losing them will cripple this game. Not a spoofer, but I agree with this. I'm a mom and can't go out and play. I could at least play community days with an incense, but now I can't. Very hard to support a game that doesn't support us. I haven't spent any money on the game bc it cripples the people who can't go out and play every event.
I read auto-catchers were aganst the niantic terms and conditions policy so if we go by niantics logic all players including these creators are breaking tje rules but im sure niantic will look past this smh
Exactly. I spent more money when I spoofed than I do now. I caught my first strike in 2019 with a 30 day suspension and thought hard about if I would even return to the game after that. I did but I don’t play as often as I would like or at the level I could with spoofing. Spoofing does not interfere with anyone else game play other than gyms (and who really bothers with that broken aspect of the game anyway?) everyone plays for a different reason and mine is to catch all of the Pokémon available. I want 100% DEX completion and spoofing is the only way to do that with the regional BS Niantic pulls on us. If I had no fear of losing my account I’d still be Spoofing spending more money than ever to hit level 50 and fill my dex.
To be honest mate, i know that you are sponsored by Niantic and that this is your living but think about what you say before spouting this type of corporate propaganda. This is not a fair game, hasn't been for years. Sure when the game first started it was a lot simpler and it was a revolutionary new concept in gaming, but over the years this has changed and this game has become just like every other pay to win game, giving an unfair advantage on the players that can afford to pay and not to those who cant. Ive not played this game properly since 2016 but got back into it last year and one of the first friends that i added was a middle 20's man who i bonded with over playing the game, this man suffers from down syndrome and is permantly confined to a motorised wheelchair, and he was also the first spoofer i met. during our conversations i asked why he would do that and risk his account, and his reply to me was by doing this he gets to see the world and things on this planet that he could never physically do. He gets to see part of the world via pokestops , makes friends via discord and has had a good time doing it. To me his story is the whole reason why i dont see a problem with what he does. On top of that what unfair advatange does anyone have in this game, the only player interaction other than collection pokemon is gbl and to be honest thats broken anyway, you could have all the maxed out shundos in the world and the lag would still cause you to lose. Also hate to say this mate but 55000000 stardust since day one of Pokémon go works out to be 25000 plus a day. Unless you were raiding 25 times a day since day one or caught an absurd amount of Pokémon every day 365 i dont think that all the tips you give on this channel could ever make that happen. Way to big a number to have never spoofed. So i do wish you well in your career and enjoying the game and i hope we see some more great content from you going forward however think about your subscriber base before taking a order from up above. The story you shared about your friend who has downs and is in a chair being able to see the world remotely through the ability to spoof is very touching to hear and it makes me sick that Niantic is and has always purposefully excluded the rural and disabled players in this way and now threatening to take their accounts when they created the conditions for spoofing to occur in the first place. real nice story about your friend, but sadly niantic doesnt and wont care about your friend who just wants to see the world and have fun playing the game. i think spoofing is fine for the most parts. omly problem i have with it is the gyms but besides that just let people spoof.
It's just funny and ironic how these companies claim to be so woke and so inclusive yet this game really exclude so many people from playing... The people with mobility issues, the elderly who can't move and walk that well, the rural people with maybe 3 pokestops in their town, on and on they exclude so many. To your first point, I would agree, some disabilities and some diseases should warrant a "you can spoof" license to people, however with how this world works, many others would easily take advantage of that, and how do you track that then? Easier to just say none at all so you aren't then trying to police who actually can spoof and who shouldn't be spoofing, vs just are they spoofing yes and no. To that second point, I've gotten nearly 20 mil off GBL alone, and have only played since beldum day in 2018. I can tell you for a fact I have not done every battle every day, so i could easily be up towards 23M from GBL as the past 3 seasons I've made it to rank 20 and called it a good day. It's about how you dedicate your time and resources, so if you play a lot on 3x catch stardust on com days or 2x catch stardust on spotlight hours, or even play during events with stardust boosted mon (staryu for July after Starly CD btw) and even just in general activate a starpiece here and there, you'll realize stardust is super easy to come by. 55M isn't easy, but it's not impossible especially for how much time he puts into stuff. Raiding isn't the best way to attain stardust btw...
for me, there is no difference if someone is spoofing or not, they don't affect my pokemon catching, gaining XP or stardust. So according to me niantic should work on the glitches and bugs instead of spoofers.
Same here heck I even remember being helped by spoofers a couple of times. Back before remote passes were added I was trying to some 3 star raids. But was a little low leveled back then. And every once in awhile a random person would pop up in the raid. And I knew know one else was close enough to enter the raid.
Just few questions to Niantic...has Niantic done enough for disabled to enjoy the game? Has Niantic really made the game for poor/middle class with raid passes costing more now? Has Niantic rewarded legit players enough? Has Niantic improved the graphics of the game? Has Niantic made any progress towards making the gameplay feel better? I have so many foreign friends but cant trade with them due to distance,has Niantic ever solved it? The huge paywalls for stupid rewards make people leave the game. Niantic can always introduce features that will help disabled/poor people. Make the game good enough that people don't have to spoof. You need to check out rural areas before saying things like a fair playing field. I don't spoof myself, but I won't ever blame them for it... I submitted some pokestops in Winnipeg but no updates what so ever. Sort of given up on my play. I know the difference and difficulties for rural players, because I lived in Australia before moving to Canada... Winnipeg Canada sucks for pogo. The day niantic gives us all equal number of pokestops anywhere on Earth = fair playing field
Yeah, it’s stupid, I spoof and I see random huge amounts of Pokémon spawning in the middle of the damn ocean and some places where people live don’t get any, I just don’t get it, I don’t live in rural areas but I feel bad for the people that do, anyone that defends Niantic are the ones that afford all of the events and have that privilege
I spoof and I honestly don't think I've ever had an impact on someone else's experience? Like, the game feels like a single player experience for the most parts. I enjoy going out and catching pokemons, especially during hype community days where I meet one or two random players. At the same time, spoofing to cities like NYC to stock up on materials, rare pokemon, daily raids is also pretty fun. If my community was a bit more alive then I probably wouldn't cheat. Some rural players don't cheat, because they feel like that completely ruins the spirit of the game and I completely respect that decision. But if others wanna cheat and the only people they're hurting is a multi million dollar company but not buying their stupid raid passes then I'd say that's fine.
I dont see how spoofing is an issue I've been thinking about doing it myself I started when the game first came out as soon as I realized you couldnt move freely around like the gamboy games I thought it was the dumbest thing ever. I get on like 3-4 times a month maybe less there is nothing around the nearest gym and poke stop is 20 miles away . My pokemon is in a gym for over 140 days smh.... spoofers have nothing to do with my game play well maybe in the master leauge only but battle leauge is whack i don't play it because I have nothing good after 6 years of being in a rural area. They should just unlock free movement let us get on a train or ss anne to go places lol.
What I havent seen or heard mentioned is the "GPS signal lost" bug... 1. Physically go to a location in your area with a cluster of stops and gyms. 2. Activate a gotcha or similar device. (I have the trainer club evolve watch). 3. While leaving the game on use your phone settings to deactivate your phones location function. This will result in the game essentially "locking" your position to where GPS information was last available...right in the middle of all those stops. And for as long as your game is open and the gotcha device is connected, (30 to 60 minutes) you'll be able to physically leave that location, go home, shower, go eat, etc, and your game will stay there and be able to spin stops and collect balls. Eventually the gotcha device will disconnect and you will not be able to reconnect it as long as your location is deactivated which means you'll have to physically reset your position to do it again. This does NOT work for catching pokemon, only for spinning stops for balls. Obviously this could be considered an exploit or "not in the spirit of the game". But my question. Is it BANNABLE under these new guidelines?
So I don't spoof, but I can honestly say I have thought about it. You say the game should be fair to everyone, but you have the ability to travel and make a living off this. People that work full time jobs and have a family to take care of have a hard time playing especially in a rural area. So for me i barely have any spawns in my area and it honestly makes me not even open the game. The closest good spot is over an hour from me, but again family and my work doesn't allow me to go that far to play a game. The old incense during the pandemic actually had me playing because I would get stuff and have to buy pokeballs from the shop due to no stops near me. They nerfed that so I stopped opening the game completely. So to me that isn't fair, plus doing a 5 star raid? Lol what are those I only get to do it if I get invited remotely. There are other methods through discord ect ect but that is just so much work and the game becomes a chore. I have watched spoofing videos and yes sure them getting good shundos and what not but at the end of the day it's a game that is supposed to be fun. I never understand why people get mad at others getting a shinny ect I only care about my account no one else's. I honestly just wish instead of spending all the time trying to stop Chester's they would fix rural areas so people everywhere can play. I can't be the only one that has this issue!

I feel like this may have already been said, but my theory for Niantic's stance on spoofing comes down to the fact that it messes with their data collection. After all, they rely on collecting people's locations for their profit.

It’s odd that a device that can auto catch Pokémon while game is off is accepted and not considered an unfair advantage but other techniques are. While I personally just play when I can and don’t do any of the banned actions I see no harm in those that do. Person 1 can have 100 shiny 100lv name your Pokémon, that does not affect what I have. It literally does zero harm to my account. Now if the game was in a way that only one person can catch a Pokémon or Niantic was giving prizes for first this or that than I could understand their point.
They want everyone to be at the exact same playing field, but I only have about 2 pokestops near me and have to walk at least 10 minutes to reach one of them and then 20 minutes to reach another, plus it’s an average of 35 degrees Celsius outside and I don’t want to get a burn every time I want to play and only end up catching a pikachu
There are hardly any gyms which means hardly any raids which means hardly anyone plays, even though I spoof I actually spent real life money on the game and I have tried to actually play by going out but if I just hold my phone while driving I will get a $125 fine.
Definitely going to hurt the player count. And that's a whole community all on its own. Play how ya want to play... I only care about my legitimately caught Pokemon on my own account. If you want to flex hundreds of shundos it doesn't bother me in the least.

I mean, his channel is solely around Pokemon Go and it's one of the biggest on YT. Of course it would be supportive, especially since it's easy to say cheating is bad. Imagine how bad it would appear if he went against it. He flies in and out of countries way more often than the average person so I don't think he really understands what it's like to live housebound or in a rural area.
Niantic claims to create a lv playing ground this kinda makes me laugh. 1. Gofeast was total crap a double digit ticket with poor results especially in rural areas 2. Gas is 5$ a gallon and worse in some areas so their money grab shenanigans kinda justifys what's happening. 3. Covid still exists why punish players for being safe 4. Why should I feel like I have to travel to pokemon gofeast location shell out more money to Gas hotels when I could actually use that in game. 5. Trades why should I even have to travel to make a trade it should be Automatically everywhere instead of a tiny 10-40 km from time to time. 6. Regional pokemon was a joke from the beginning I like a lot of pokemon and my #1 so happens to be a regional but it's not my regional. 7. Some people are not day time people and it's dangerous to go out at night alone. 8. 6 years with pokemon go and we are on Gen 7 but wait they haven't released all Gen 3 pokemon yet the pace for Pokémon go is very slow. 9. Why can't mythical pokemon be traded why am I stuck with a sorry 2* Mew & Hoopa when Deoxys also a mythical can be Raided but Mew and hoopa can't. 10. why can't every pokemon just spawn in the game why I haven't seen a Noibat since God knows when what a joke but yet pikachu with this and pikachu with that oh and guess what in case you didn't know we're giving you pikachu with this instead of you getting that pokemon to complete your pokedex. Also depending where you live, you can get thunderstorms, dangerous heat, ice storms, blizzards...and when there is hazardous weather, you can only choose "I am safe". There should be a button saying "I am in danger but I really want a shiny deino so I'll just go ahead and get heatstroke because I only have the 3 hottest hours to play". Would that honesty make them feel better?

It's easy for you to say all of this when you have the chance to actually go around the world and play this game. The game was never intented for people who live in rural areas, only those who live in or close to a city.
For someone who is missing a leg, how the hell am I going to get out doors without being baby sat by someone? The nearest pokestop is a longways away and I can’t do raids, spotlight hours etc etc. I’m not dumping money for remote passes and end up getting banned for my disability. Spawns are trash and I can’t get out everyday. My butt is in a chair everyday, my parents are at work or busy with making meals for the day, gardening etc. Not to mention, but gas is high and who on earth is going to pay $5 a gallon to drive somewhere to play a game? I can’t do that.

You were my favorite Pokemon Go youtuber before this video man. Left a really bad taste in my mouth to be honest. I would love to see you talk about ways Niantic could improve the game for rural players. It would be nice to have access to even half of the resources I know you have for Pokemon Go. Between your geographic location, the money you have to dump into the game and Niantic paying for your trips to every in person event( which 99% of Go players couldn’t afford to make happen unless it is local to them. I’m assuming Niantic sponsored this video as well. You should only play rural for 6 months or so and see for yourself.

There is no reason for people to play this game if they cannot enjoy it for what it is,this is a app of getting out and having a fun time with your community it’s not meant to be used in your bedroom and do what ever you want. You have an unfair advantage then everyone else and therefore shouldn’t be playing. That’s my sense of it😁

I love your content man, the best pogo content creator imho. But to say that people get jealous of spoofers when we also watch you and other creators get flown around the world by Niantic and catch all these region exclusives and event exclusives is both ironic and kind of hypocritical.
I don't spoof, but I also have no other choice than being a casual PoGo gamer. Living in a rural area and not spending money on the game limits your experience. PvP is the only interesting part of the game, but not having XL meta Pokemon makes it really frustrating.

Except we aren’t on the same playing field. Niantic has no idea what the rural game is like compared to urban game. I don’t spoof but I live in a rural area. Spawns at my house are rare. My daughter who lives in a very urban city can spin a gym and two stops from her bed. I don’t care about spoofing-being honest because it doesn’t affect me-but I do wish Niantic would improve the rural game.
Get to level 32 and submit stops. I used to live in. A rural area and thats how i played. Submitting stops and getting them inout makes it alot easier.
you can make your own pokestops though, i live in rural and now i got 3 gyms and 9 stops + 1 more gym/stop a little far away, Also, got like 13 spawns around my house that gathered in time. You should try put some around your area too, pretty fun
I was pleasantly surprised to see the comment section of this video. Imagine making a game so unfairly balanced in the first place that people feel the need to cheat to get enjoyment out of it. Niantic at it again sucking every last drop of fun out of the game. I do honestly believe there is such thing as "healthy spoofing", I don't have an issue with spoofing when you are going out to a local city and playing as you would if you were walking around. It makes your gameplay both more safe and more fun to play even at times when it generally wouldnt be safe to go out and play. I dont support the toxic gym sniping or teleporting to hundos etc though
Sure, it's nice they're looking through this, but to some (myself included) it's just more fun to play as a spoofer. I don't really care about showing off, I just want to be able to collect at my own pace. I live in a remote area in a small country. I have a few gyms and pokestops around my city. It's just not worth it if they immediately ban any person who spoofs. A lot of people can't travel around countries and find regional Pokémon. We're not all successful youtubers. I just find it a bit disappointing from Niantic.

Would rather this time be spent on finding the people who cheat in GBL and improving the GBL system. Sure, it's annoying when spoofers flex their hundos and shundos, but I don't hold myself up to them as a measure. However, the GBL cheaters directly affect my game play and cost me rare spawns or premium items through rewards.
@@sophrenia Weird things happen in some battles. Some opponents seem to get their charge move faster than you. Or the game stops for a few seconds then when it comes back they have a charge. Not all oddities are because of cheaters, GBL has had performance issues in the past, but I am pretty sure some people have gotten some work around. Personally speaking, those people are the scummiest people in PoGo and should be outright banned immediately. I don't really care if people spoof TBH.
In my opinion, the easiest way to address this is just guarantee the rewards for finishing the set. They may need to change the system a bit like have a CP minimum for each league so people don't just throw in 10 CP pokemon to finish the battle faster. Also, you forfeit your reward if you quit the match.
There are numerous teams working on the game. They can work on bugs and security simultaneously. Just like the individuals who work on events are not the same that work on graphics. The security team is not the development team.
So, according to Niantic, they want to ensure a "fair, fun and safe" experience for everybody. So let's see about those 3 points: Fair: In my country, there is no in person event at all. I live in a city, pretty much at the centre. There are a few gyms and some pokestops, but getting a legendary raid done with local people only? Forget it, even above level 40. Get a bit outside of the centre, it's worse. How is this gameplay it fair in comparison to NYC, Dan Francisco, LA, Paris etc, where there's tons of spawn and even a lvl 5 player can get into a legendary raid done? The closest hot-spot for me is abroad. If I want an experience that might even come close to somenother players, I have to go abroad to play the game, and Niantic says this is fair? This isn't. I ask myself how would you pr any other american react if you were (indirectly) told that if you want a good game experience, all you have to do is pick your car, drive down cross the border of Mexico and play in Tijuana. There would be an uproar. And if you doubt this, just wonder why every successful pokemon go content creator either lives in or nearby a hot-spot or is spoofing. Fun: In my area, a city area in my country, there's very few pokestops and even less gyms. I made an experiment yesterday and knocked a gym out without replacing pokemon in it. More than 24 hours later, that gym in the city centre is still empty. This is how fun the game is to play here without spoofing: its so fun, people gave up, they won't even refill a gym innthe city centre in 24 hours. The game is not fun outside of those areas. Billy, if you doubt that, please go play the game one month in a remote area. No remote raid pass, and see for yourself how not fun it is. Safe: encouraging a kid to get into a remote dark alley in a city to catch a pokemon, or indirectly encouraging a kid to go abroad by himself to get a better experience is anything but safe. Walking with your eyes riveted to your phone is anything but safe (yes, I know about rhe warning. I also know about humans, and this warning won't stop things to happen). So on all count from Niantic's objectives, the game fails. Spoofing fixes all that: the fame is now much more fair, much more fun, and much, much safer. If Niantic wants that, they should think about fixing the game design first
You have enough money to travel the world and catch whatever Pokemon you want... How is that not an unfair advantage?!?! That being said, you seem to be open minded so thats cool. I don't spoof personally, but my little Brother is Handicapable and home bound, and we also live in a rural area with few pokestops.💯. So spoofing is his the only way to play the game. He used to pay for incense but those are basically worthless now.
I feel like spoofing is fine, apart from the toxic gym hoggers. I know a few spoofers, where they live is very rural and they’re lucky to find 1 Pokestop within a couple miles of their house. Niantic need to focus on fixing the many issues within the game, rather than banning players for “mostly” harmless activity Also, most players cannot afford to physically fly to these different cities for big events. Niantic will probably lose quite a bit of cash if they continue to ban spoofers.
Niantic is no more at Free to play policy. We go to job, come home tired, try to open game hoping to get any legendary or shiny within small 1-2 hr window, is really frustrating at rural areas. I have played legit in rural areas of Maharashtra, india. Honestly saying, u wouldn't enjoy, there's nothing to play. Even if i create few pokestops here and there, you will fed up of spawn rate and shiny rates, even on CD.
Yea the gym hoggers are annoying, I encountered someone who had all the gyms in my area under 10 minutes & I took 1 & not even a minute after putting my Pokemon in the gym it was already knocked out. I spoofed back in 2016 this was so I could get the regional exclusive Pokemon I haven’t spoofed since bc I find playing legitimately is more fun but I can see why people that live in rural areas would spoof. Hey y'all! I am a grandmother of 2(12 and 9) and I actually saw my granddaughter watching this video on the TV(we have UA-cam on there). So back in December she got a debit card from her parents and had around $50 put on there by me. Now, I occasionally would play Poke mon with her and my son. I was never a hardcore player and we all live pretty close in a semi-rural area in Northeast Georgia. So my granddaughter actually bought my son, her, and I access to spoofing. I had no idea it wasn't allowed until I saw this video! I talked to her and she brought up a lot of points I see a lot of other people making! There are little to no blue spinny things around us unless one of us were to drive 20 minutes which is just a waste of gas to put a Pokemon in and get only 50 coins if it stays longer than 15 hours. I think the company is money hungry, and the game is defiantly not free to play like it used to be.
they just reported closing 4 projects- layed off 8% of workers because nothing can take off like pogo - yet instead of fixing and improving they drive away active players- who reportedly spent $$ being able to raid more where they couldn't in their local areas. does that make sense? if anyone reads these comments- most are doing so due to their location. there isn't a choice spoof or quiet. I’ve never spoofed. I honestly think Niantics issue is more they want us out collecting data for them. They don’t seem too care much about players opinions and it’s not likely they care about unfair play or flexing. Not trying to be negative but it’s the way they present themselves.

As a spoofer I did it to level up since I had little to any stops in my area but omg 20-40 was as quick and was now able to add pokestops in my area. Which shows rural areas have a harder time to even level up. Poke balls aren’t remove from the bag,friendship’s hardly gets us anything and pokecoins are as hard to get since sometimes the Pokémon stays there for days.
Many friends of mine across my country doesn't have pokestops in about a 10km radius around them. Niantic should add some more pokestops for Google map landmarks and more meet up locations so that everyone will get motivated. I feel bad for losing my PoGo friends.
It's also unfair advantage because the game promotes people with big pockets to pay for shop items and able to travel around the world flexing about the pokemon they get I feel like those people are toxic too. The game is unfair from the start if you have money you can get everything in the game.
I love that He likes to speak on a level playing field. But no, Ninatic does not try to make it the same playing field for everyone . I get one spawn a day, and I have to drive ten minutes for a stop. Let alone a gym. So all the collection challenges we just had. I hit none because of my spawn rate. Sure I have a group of international friends that send me raids but as far as me leveling up to 45 has been a nightmare because I get one team rocket ballon a day. And I have to do 100 grunts and 50 leaders….
Issues with this; I played in Dallas, Texas while at a convention it would randomly fling me to the corners of the earth because the hotel or convention center was screwing with GPS, I got a warning, my sister got a ban. We were standing in a hotel. "It makes it unfair" The game is unfair, it will always be an uneven playing field, I traded 240 pokemon with my friends after the Dieno comm day, My partner got 2 hundos and a lucky hundo, my sister on her new account got a ton of luckies, I got a few luckies at low 3*. I played the comm day the whole time start to finish and walked around the whole time and got 2 shinies, my sister signed in at work and got 4 and my partner who was walking got 1. There is no blanket luck for everyone, some people will get more than others, I had my wheelchair which is why I even got to do comm day. I have friends who are stuck at home.
I have spoofed recently mainly to trade with people who live far from me. I think it stupid to drive 30 minutes just trade with someone when gas cost so much. ( I have many friends who live far from me.) I never liked having drive just to trade which just takes few seconds. Also I spent more money for raid passes while spoofing than while I have not. As long I pay them they should not care if spoof or not.
I'm a bit older than most people. I play it, to bond with my 8 year son. Love capturing new Pokémon, and show him. Then i allow him to play. I understand the disadvantages of spoofing. I personally can not, because i use my company mobile phone, so i can't tamper with changing my location. But i can get people to spoof to my location. So i can make trades. I feel like, if they're going to enforce some of these, They should at least allow trade partners to trade from anywhere. Perhaps used a remote trade purchase in the shop or something. Especially when there's trade research challenges. Not everyone player is going to Australia just to capture Pokémon. Let's not forget price of fuel today, which effects the airline prices too.
I will shamelessly admit to spoofing. I have a very young child and an inability to travel very often. I do not abuse it, I teleport to one singular location and use incenses and lores I purchase to catch pokemon and spin stops. I have also spent hundreds of dollars on raids, hate me if you want, but living in a rural area w/ 1 spawn every 6 hours is insane.
@@icy_fire4080 do you live in a rural area? The rules for stops make it really tough to even find something to nominate. I have nominated stops but there isn’t anything nearby that qualifies. I have stops I can walk to. My biggest complaint is the lack of spawns. When I go on vacation (lake house where I get full bars on my 4G) the only spawn I get is the one guaranteed. Nothing there to nominate either.
Im not going to lie, i spoof sometimes, but i dont have a choice if i wanna actually play the game, nothing is in my town and i cant even play the game if i cant spoof. So niantic needs to fix this and add stops and gyms and spawns to small towns or do something bc it sucks man. And i dont play to spoof around the world, i just spoof to the nearest town with a lot of stops. Just please add stops and the numbers will go down
I started spoofing in Jaunuary(I honestly didn't know that they were slowing their bans or crap like that I just happened to finally catch wind and thought I'd try it) My take. I have saved probably 1000's of dollars by spoofing. I was joining raid apps, discords, everything to get into raid groups from around the world. I was spending money buying incenses so I could play at home all the time. I became addicted to the game, like a ton of people. I probably spent 1500 dollars in like a month on everything in December maybe? I bought 100 dollars in coins in January and haven't since I started spoofing. This is ultimately all a game of money. Maybe I'm a corner case, because with more accessibility to raids lots probably raid even more all day, but not me. I do my free ones, and with spoofing I don't need to use inceneses at all. I think that like any game, if someone wants to do it...who cares? I spoof and I don't run around showing any shundos I have off to everyone and idk anyone who does that. It's an ease of access to the game, and in my case, I save a ton of money with how I want to play the game. My gf works all day and doesn't have time to play this game and any event and gets home late at night and no I don't want her driving around our local college late at night, the only place around us with a bunch of stops. This crap is on Niantic. I can't imagine after reading all these comments, if I was disabled, in the middle of nowhere, a stay at home mom....a number of other things. I can't imagine their scenarios, and how they might be able to play the game at all now. I def repect @trainerclub for all his content and even this video. At the same time, I think that Niantic has created this problem with its money manipulation tho of events, raid passes, etc. Just a sad day for the pokemon go community. I don't think he understands that spoofing takes a normal person playing the game as well. Spoofing doesn't immediately give you an advantage, it's all up to the person.
I’ve played this game since the beginning. I started spoofing when I finished college and got into my career field that requires me to work 12-15 hours a day. I miss tons of events. But with spoofing I’m able to play them when I’m free. I was never toxic. I don’t care for PVP or battling for gyms. In fact I loved helping other trainers. I joined many discords and always invited people to raids. I traded with others to help complete dex and even jumped on people’s accounts to help them too. I’ve received my first ever red flag 7 day ban last week. And honestly, if they take away my account, I just don’t care. I’ll stop playing. But I’ll still support you and other UA-camrs! I enjoy watching your channel, love the content and will forever love Pokémon!
*1. Spoofing gives you 0 Advantage over over legit players. If you spoof and lets say for example you catch a Shundo Gible, that gible only has value to you, for a legit player this would have 0 Value, because it isnt obtained legit. You, as a legit player can play the game however you want, without any disadvantages in your game. Spoofers do not make your POGO experience worse. And the one thing with spoofing to gyms is really not that present. there may be instances where stuff like this happens and for that these spoofers should get banned! However from my own experience 96% of the non legit players only care about shundo hunting and raiding. *2. There is no toxic behaviour, all spoofers are cool with legits and only flex their shundos in the spoofer Discords And if there is somebody that has obviously cheated to obtain rare pokemon, dont let it influence your playstyle. Play how you want! There is nobody telling you how to play! Dont make the game just about bragging your virtual Monsters that youve caught! *3. I think Niantic should rather focus on making events playable, fixing their servers and minimizing the amount of bugs that every update comes with than banning people for playing their own way, without even affecting others. *4.And if they want to make the game more fair, they should stop putting every single thing behind a paywall! Also giving rural players the ability to create gyms and stops more easily would significantly improve the situation. *5.I personaly got a 7 Day warning for spoofing, from now on I will be playing legit but also at the same time I dont regret anything. I just think this is the wrong approach. And before you go ahead and give all the spoofers all the hate you have in yourself, maybe think about the situation and inform yourself about how "bad" Spoofing really is. As a legit player turned spoofer after gofest this year i just want shinys i could careless about hunting for Shundos. I also enjoy getting all the rare ones my friends on the western side of the states cant get so i can help fill their pokedex. Also where the Hell is Gelceon?!
I played legit at the beginning of 2016 when the game came out. I lost interest in the game because of how difficult it was to raid. I only came back because a friend showed me you can spoof and have an easier time raiding. After that I was hooked. I'm not proud of it but I've probably spent $1000 alone so far this year raiding because I had the ability to because of spoofing. I never held down gyms because I never like ruining someone elses experience. I've only focused on raiding and If i'm being honest, I'll continue to spoof to raid. If I get banned then so be it. Thats less money i'll be spending. Trying to raid legit is a major time consumption if you can even find people to raid with. I enjoy this game when I spoof. I don't when I can't. I'll never go out of my way to ruin someone elses experience. I understand what I'm doing is technically cheating and if I get banned so be it.
they just reported closing 4 projects- layed off 8% of workers because nothing can take off like pogo - yet instead of fixing and improving they drive away active players- who reportedly spent $$ being able to raid more where they couldn't in their local areas. does that make sense?
And as Swag tips also mentioned. Bringing the community days back to 3 hours makes it hard for a PvP player to get the right stats on a Pokemon for GBL. If you have weather boost you are already screwed on getting good PvP stats. This does give a disadvantage to normal players v.s. Spoofers. A bigger window for CD would help a lot. The new system they introduced with Deino CD is amazing. But would rather see a CD of a minimum of 4 hours and extended with the raiding system if people want to grind. But than again, there must be plenty of raids to choose from. On Deino CD I played in a big city, but still hardly any raids to be seen after the first hour Zweilous was in raids.
Bro I’m a full time student, full time worker and I live in a small town and all I want is to be able to do legendary raids. If it wasn’t for spoofing I probably would have done like 1-2 raids all these years
a normal spoofer wouldnt flex their shundo collection, and if go plus is allowed, bots should be allowed too, using go plus is taking advantage as well, just cause its made by niantic doesnt mean its fair for players who dont have it lol
Using GO Plus does not mean you can catch all the pokemon nearby. I know it works automatically, but there is probability to maximum 60% to catch a pokemon (by my observation) and the probability is getting worse if the pokemon's Basic Catch Rate is very low, and also it can only give you 150 exp if it successfully catched and 25 exp if it fled. Non go plus players have advantage catching with higher probability up to 100% and getting more exp if they optimize spin throws, accuracy and fast catch trick. Bot, on the other side, has these kind of behaviour and that's why it is not allowed.

This game has never been fair for all trainers. A trainer in NYC will always be better than me if I play without spoofing because of where I live.
I've never flexed on a regular player and I don't see why spoofing is so bad - I am not hurting anyone
Yea they get all the clusters full of good pokemon meanwhile other rural players have 1 pokemon and that one pokemon.
I have played naturally for the first 3 years, and hatched perfects powered them up and and can still get beat so having or spoofing for perfects doesn't hurt the game just Niantics pockets

Niantic was always bound to have spoofers once they introduced region locks.
A few ideas that could limit/decrease spoofers
1. International trade days, u can still limit the special trades but on those days allow world wide trade with friends overseas could help a lot.
2. Massively increase spawn rates in rural areas. Or allow them to submit something like a lamp post or a letter box as a pokestop if their area is lacking in land marks.
3.rotate regionals more often. I understand they're region locked for a reason but a lot of people live their entire lives never leaving their country of birth.
4. Revert back to covid settings. That brought a lot of players back for a reason.

I suspect they might allow some long distance trades once they get the official chat implemented. With the chat all players will have a way to coordinate the trades. They may never do that but I think they will.

Much agreed. In EVERY other Pokémon video game since the very beginning, you leave your house from Bumfuck, Egypt, and catch Pokémon in the wild in the rural areas. You do battles in the towns/cities. Niantic literally does the opposite and it would give incentive for people to get outdoors and away from the cities.

This game has never ever had a level playing field and it's Niantic's direct fault. They need to auto generate pokestops and amp up the spawns in rural areas because the difference based on where you live is like night and day. Urban player's bags overflowing with PokeBalls and more spawns than they could ever catch, infinite field research, and the chance to actually use their free raid pass while rural players desperately scrounge for items and carefully consider whether every ball they throw is worth it or not and maybe one pokemon spawn every couple hundred feet while missing out on field research with rare rewards and now paying a premium for remote raid passes because Niantic hiked up the price.
I've been a pokemon fan since I was a child. Why should I miss out out on what Pokemon go has to offer with rare mythicals, pokemon, and easier shinies all because the contract was given to an awful company that doesn't care about rural players that made a fundamentally unfair game?

Facts!
Niantic is at fault that spoofers even exist. I started playing back when the game released. The day it was made public to everyone, I rushed out of the house all excited to only see nothing in the nearby (I lived in a very small town). I kept walking around, forest, fields and kept wondering why there is nothing. Until I saw one pidgey in the nearby. Tracked it down and that was my adventure done. The only time I got to see more pokemon was when I started working at a castle, there was quite more life than in my town. Multiple pokestops, castle park was a nest on top of it, lot of spawns, I spent hour after work going around and catching stuff. The difference between small town and this castle was insane. Same as when I went to the city. Incomparable and yet it wasnt like crazy. When I see online screenshots or videos of the spawns some people have... Even the difference between my city and those cities is insane. Now that I live in a big city, main city in south Bohemia region of Czech Republic. Compare that to some cities in Japan or America where you cant even click pokestops and pokemon because there is so many and its like comparing village to a city. The differences are just way too big. They need to increase spawns and approve more criteria for pokestops. We cant place more pokestops because there is nothing here at some places. Really people here try their hardest to get something valid to be approved for a pokestop. Most common being sculpture or some kind of part of building thats historical or kid playgrounds. Thats literally it. I have been looking around my area what could be a good place for a pokestop and best I could find was a garden of a man that lives few doors from us and makes the garden kind of an art, placing children toy figures and making some kind of scene from it. But that wont get approved. So sadly cant do much at my house besides waiting for that one single spawn of a pokemon I get.
This is so stupid that a company wants to make a AR game which implies realism of some degree, yet make a game with wild creatures appear in cities and have things called pokestops. It's just stupid. The reverse is supposed to happen. Animals exist in wild not in cities, at least not wild animals. Mostly. Sure this could be dangerous to ask people to go to forests, mountains etc, but either make it realistic to some degree or just don't even do an AR game or any game that implies realism. The only thing AR is used for by the players in this game is quick catch anyway. It is the farthest thing from what it promised.
I think I'll just quit. Gas costs too much to drive to any place with enough pokestops nearby. I have to walk over a mile to find the first pokestop. My wife hates how much time (I used to) spend on POGO. I'm not a UA-camr who can travel and use it as a tax write-off. See ya Niantic! I'm done.
I’ve been thinking about that lately. These UA-camrs get tax write offs on everything they buy within the game and travel exspenses. I’m sure Niantic also compensates them through free items at least from time to time. They have the ability to travel and ability to buy hundreds of passes and other items. No hate to the UA-camrs but sometimes this needs to be put into perspective for the rest of us.

Even the mewtwo shadow raids that happened this weekend gone (may 2023 for any future folk reading this), my home town literally had empty lobbies the entire time. The fact they made these local only was forcing those who wouldn't normally spoof to do so. And all the travel, we don't have the money to just take time off work to travel across the world, especially when you can do all of it in the comfort of your home while spoofing. I'm a spoofer and I make no apologies for it, and I see all the youtubers with 5000 mewtwo candies, when I only have like 258 in total, they were able to buy all those raid passes pretty much free of charge to do all those raids and from previous mewtwo raids.
I was banned for 30 days FALSELY about 2 years ago (NEVER had a 3rd party app, never gave my info out, never even had the 7 day ban first, etc - 100% legit account). I tried to communicate with Niantic for the entire 30 days to try to answer my questions, fix it, look at my history, etc. All I ever got were BOT replies and nothing happened in those 30 days. Niantic customer support sucks big time.
DUDE, I purchased coins and I didnt receive any coins so I went to their support. Guess I just lost 20$ dollars :)

@@zahin8470 tropius isnt a brazillian spawn for the record, that would be the entire african continent I believe, we here have chatot and maractus ;) plus I dont think regionals are an issue aside from pokedex completion because most, if not all regionals are plain uninteresting pokemon as raid attackers or pvp-wise, the most useful regional imo is heracross because good stats as fighter type and upcoming mega, but it was available in raids worldwide some time ago so no problem i guess?

I personally don't care if someone spoofs or not. More power to them if that what they enjoy. It's not like it's taking anything away from anyone else. We're not playing against each other except in PVP and even then it's not like you're losing loot if you lose in PVP. I say let players play the way they want and it's a win win for everyone. I would bet spoofers spend more money than the regular player base does as well.
You’ve hit the nail right on the head. A couple of my friends spoof. They’ve spent money on tickets for a ton of pogo events. Even that stupid Mr Mime one. Just recently they bought tickets for the go fests in Seattle and Sapporo. Say what you want about the spoofers, Niantic, but it won’t change the fact that they are your cash cows.

Well when I spoof I don’t even think I’m playing “Pokemon Go” anymore, I’m playing another game that has different functions and rules such as cooldowns, and the goal is to get hundos and shinies, and I’m getting fun in that. But apparently I got the first strike a few days ago, so now I stopped spoofing, and since I’m banned currently I can’t see any wild pokemon spawns, but I’m still playing the game for a while everyday because of the daily incense, I guess they maybe did a ban wave and add the incense in to kind of send a message to all spoofers, anyways I started to enjoy the game again. But I will not stop spoofing, well at least not too often as before, I may just spoof around my city and maybe sometimes teleport to my friend’s location to trade with them, if they add distance trades, the game is gonna be a lot fun.

Honestly I wish they'd put this much focus and attention into listening to the trainers that play this game how it was intended to be played because right now it doesn't seem like they care what the community says like for example the removal of the free remote raid passes and rising the price of them many people weren't happy but they did it anyway.
Niantic clearly said they want players to play the game THEY (Niantic) want it to be played, which evidently implies they could care less about what the players want.

I totally disagree with one of your first comments. Niantic doesn't care about a level playing field. They only care about money or they would implement pokestops everywhere for rural people to. Their system is setup so only wealthy can catch them all without cheating. Not everyone can spend thousands on the game and traveling to catch a regional or attending an event that is only in one city. Personally I have never spoofed but I definitely don't blame those that do. As far as unfair advantage goes I would say that belongs to people with so much money they can waste it traveling for a game while others are starving

Agreed and it's not like the spoofers get infinite raid passes and items like these UA-camrs to do 20+ raids a day I get there spending money on the game but if there trying to level the playing feild this isn't the way to do it they should put more pokestops and gyms in rural areas and take away the 50 limit a day maybe 20-25 per gym or no limit at all.

Niantic needs to fix their game. Ask yourselves “why does some of the community spoof” you do realize that where I live I can’t even get into any 5 star raids because there aren’t 20 players in them. Causing them to be IMPOSSIBLE to get any legendaries. Some spoofers just travel in order to be able to get THE FULL EXTENT OF THE GAME. It is simply unfair for the rest of us who aren’t in the big areas to be able to play alongside other players. Fix the game.
20 players? You can do legendary raids with 4 or 5 people. if you have a strong team, some can be done with 2 people.
Remote raid passes
Bro, remote raiding has been a thing, and if you can't hardly do a 5 star raid then I know you DEFINITELY don't have 400 friends. Find the 5 star raid, go into poke genie or poke raid and say you are hosting, and host it to 5/10 players. Only pokemon you'll ever need the full 10 for is defense deoxys. Nearly everything else can be trio'd if not quaded nowadays.

I don't care about spoofers that catch hundo's everywhere and anywhere, I do despise spoofers that take every gym in my town so you can't farm daily coins if you're a different team. The game is extremely unfair unless you're rich or sponsored by Niantic, so it's no wonder some people spoof. Making events in only 3 cities is really unfair on players that can't travel that far. Niantic have a lot of work to make this game level for all players, chasing spoofers isn't the answer.
Those griefing gyms are mostly bots that automatically retake the gym once it’s lost. I think it’s dumb and personally I never took gyms even in areas that are all spoofers with minimal to no real players.
I only take gyms out if everybody has gotten their 8 hours in. Sorry people suck

Ive spoofed pretty consistently since 2017… i havent touched a gym, unless it was for special research, or the one time every 3 months id notice an open spot and drop one in, since 2016 lol. Gyms are no fun and 50 coins a day is irrelevant
Niantic: we want everyone to have a fair playing field but makes events across the world and can only play them if you have money or make UA-cam a career. I love your videos. Just sucks for people like me who is a single mother who plays the game to relax and feel young again and can't travel due to not being able to afford to go around the world.

I would suppose not since majority of the comments are stating they are ok with spoofing and/or explaining why they have felt forced to spoof themselves. Billy, you are out of touch with the average player base and have an unfair advantage being sponsored by Niantic and being flown around the world to every single event. You’ve got several shundo in 6 years while 99% of players who have played legit in 6 years have 0 shundos. Literally no one can afford to fly to 3-5 continents per summer to play imaginary animal fest but yet hey, all the content creators can, so please DONT SPOOF!
Once Niantic makes this game more fair and equitable by allowing the same number of stops and gyms across every 1 square mile radius across the board, they will inherently prevent people from wanting to spoof and the game will truly become about how hard you grind! It’s not fair to someone like me who can walk for hours in my area to get maybe 40 spawns while someone in NYC or Tokyo can access thousands of resources and spawns per day for walking less than half that time!!! I don't spoof either but if this is an issue they want to solve, they need to look past just the action of people doing it and think about the reasons why. They want to "make it a fair and level playing field" without addressing the obvious real world causes. Obtaining regional pokemon by traveling to that area means people have the money, the means of transportation, no disability, and the freedom to get off work for a week to fly to Australia or something.That makes this fun reward a regional only available to the well off and affluent. That's very classist and privileged, and separating players instead of making a community. Does Niantic live in the real world or a fantasy land where we can all just hop on planes easily multiple times let alone once in people's lifetimes? Ben F listed some great solutions to make this a more fair and level playing field for everyone, that they should listen to!
1. International trade days (free trading)
2. Same amount of spawns and pokestops in rural areas as in cities. Who is it hurting? it's not taking experience from anyone else, just giving everyone the same opportunity!
3. Getting rid of city specific events, or at least release the location 3+ months in advance so people can buy plane tickets or plan a vacation around it. Literally just be realistic with how everyone in the world prepares to travel in other situations its so easy.
4. For paid events like Go Fest, give everyone the EXACT same experience. Same spawn rates, same number of pokestops to get research, making raiding more accessible by allowing players to coordinate with each other on the app via a chat. If I'm paying money I want the same experience as you in Berlin.
5. Don't punish people with disabilities if they are not able to walk 25km.
6. All pokemon youtubers should go play in a rural area for an event, so you can advocate for the people paying your salary. I bet you would be a lot more understanding and sympathetic if there were no pokestops near you to put lures at to multiply your spawns.

4.- Agreed in part, they should spawn far more temporary gyms/pokestops for the event around the world, but in-game chat should never happen, it adds an entire new layer of issues to Niantic and everyone who plays the game, specially kids: Bulling, harassment, predatory behavior, etc. That's a big NO, if you are an adult you can coordinate things joining a discord or wsp/fb groups.

Honestly I would think that most people wouldn't be spoofing if it wasn't for the unfair nonsense that Niantic impliments in the first place. Not everyone can afford to travel. Not everyone has the ability to travel. Not everyone can physically go outside or move around. All the restrictions they've been doing on people and in the game can and will and has pushed people to the point where they can't enjoy the game. Some take it that step further and find other ways to "repair" what Niantic has broken. Seriously nerfing the insence is BS number one. My dad is disabled and cannot play community days with me any longer since my new dumb job requires me to work weekends. He has to miss out on most of the fun since the nerfed insense. Remote passes...I live in a rual area with ONE GYM and none of my friends would even come out this way since the way crappy cell phone service, which is pretty much non-existant. Niantic isn't making people get back out in the open again, it's seriously taking away and restricting those that have a difficult time in that in the first place NO ONE is going to stop going out!!! I've seen people turn to spoof BECAUSE of the crap that's going on. All the locks on regional Pokemon is stupid too. I'll NEVER get to those countries. I have no money for travel let alone a passport and anyone that would simply fly to India to get a Pokemon has issues. Buy it on ebay haha.....but yeah, Niantic caused all of the spoofing to happen in the first place and now they're trying to correct it by beating the beast they created. How about allow remote trading with some restrictions? How about make it just for lucky trades? Yes! All of this. I’m in a big city and am disabled. It’s still hard to play now. The nerfed incense has really diminished the enjoyment from the game. I don’t spoof but I know disabled players who started after the nerfed incense and the remote raid pass price hike. Disabled people are poor yet put so much money into the game just to raid. Don’t get me wrong I understand it’s the players choice but you’d think a company would show value to all players. Just like everything else, this world is only for the wealthy able bodied.

I used to spoof years ago. Not like a madman. Public transit in my town is terrible, shady people all over the place and a lack of gyms/stops. Most of my students spoofed as well, because most of them (13-17) did not trust traveling out of town. One of my students was/is paralyzed, and couldn't play at all until spoofing became an option. None of us got more shinnies than our "fair players" nor did we take over gyms that were not ours. It was supplemental to offset the physical and economical barriers that we all face. Since the ban waves, none of those players are active anymore. I still play casually (and completely fair now), but the hardships are still there and in-game price increases make spoofing look tempting again. The best way to solve the "spoofing issue" is to do what they can within their game to make spoofing an unnecessary option. Banning players with take down good people as well.
I agree and disagree. My opinion is that niantic have ultimately made the game completely unfair to play. Regional Pokémon that are out of reach. Unless like you said someone actually goes to that specific location around the world at a cost. So called in game tasks, egg hatches, raids etc etc has now become nothing but a money Gamble which leads me to my next point. Pogo has ultimately become a gambling format without the up front percentages of said point in game. Stating you may be lucky is not an actual statement but a tease. Some very very big companies have been sued for this exact thing, I myself have been drawn into that gambling bracket before now when chasing a specific hatch or raid shiny. Never again. Example last 7k egg hatch I managed to complete 189 egg hatches in the week to absolutely no shiny hatch. So once again if they are going to do these they need to be stating the percentage of possibility on an encounter across the board.

As a player who played legit for 2+ years and now spoof here's my take. I'm spoofing fully knowing the risk I'm taking. If my account gets caught then so be it.. I knew the risk. Now if you are spoofing and bragging about your shundo's/hundo's then that's pretty lame as anyone who spoofs knows how easy it is to get them. I started spoofing after taking a year off because the cost to drive to raids or drive to areas with higher spawns was out weighing the reward. Is it unfair to spoof- sure. Is it unfair that higher populated areas get more spawns? Yes. If you don't want people to spoof then create an even playing field for spawns not based on location/population. If I could get the same spawns in my neighborhood as I do in Osaka, Japan then I wouldn't spoof! As a father of two kids with hardly any time in the day spoofing gives me the opportunity to have fun in the game after putting the kids to sleep. To each their own but ultimately I'm not hurting anyone (I rarely PVP) I mainly just raid/catch mons and spoofing has provided a ton of fun in the game again.

But if you stay in a rural area with one pokestop and some stays in Downtown Newyork then how is that fair. If all you do is play in a dense area where more people raid regularly and then there are higher spawns then I feel that's fine. People who love the game will pay regardless of whether they spoof or not. But people who can't play without spoofing would just stop playing. Especially given how they have nerfed Incense

I'm the opposite. I started spoofing because my ex had taken my level 50 account that was purely legit. And I lost all hope. But I was spoofing but about a week ago I stopped spoofing and I'm playing legit now.

Years ago, my nephew was burned severely. Had to stay in hospital for 4 entire months, summer included. He was a huge fan of Pokemon Go, but was gonna miss the whole summer. I played regular as well and somehow stumbled onto spoofing methods. Showed him how to do it. It was probably the best gift I have ever given to anyone. 4 months flew by, he was able to participate in all summer events, stayed in touch with his friends and was able to show all these great pokemon he caught. I don’t care if it is ‘illegal’, I made a kid happy, not Niantics bank account.
Maybe if Niantic made the game more accessible for players in Rural/ village areas where stops are rare and Spawns are the same 4 or 5 pokemon every day. I spoof but I spoof so I can actually enjoy all the game offers.

There is no level playing field when you can travel the world and play all these go fests and 99.9% of players cannot. Who has the money to travel to 5 countries to play Pokémon Go during just the summer starting with Spain?!? With paid transactions there is no level playing field. Spoofing isn’t bad at all. Absolutely ridiculous. I actually laughed when he said getting a lot of shundos was a “toxic flex”. It literally does not effect you whatsoever how other people play the game. If someone has 1000 shundos then why would you care? Just move on with your day and ignore that person on the internet if it bothers you that much. No one has ever been on level playing field in this game ever. People in the big cities can easily dominate anyone else with spawns, raids, shiny chances, poke stops, etc. Semi decent cities even less and rural areas are practically pointless to play in. Hey Billy, I would love an opportunity to debate you on this. I do enjoy some of your live streams and info videos, but lately you have been posting a lot of show off videos. It's hard to support you when you publish these show off videos. Not all of us are supported by Niantic and have hundreds, if not thousands of patreons backing us like you do. Remember, you are posting this video in Berlin. My entire 6 year pokemon go career I have traveled once for this game. You get to globe hop on someone's dime. You get to attend all these events, all over the world for free. There are so many problems with pokemon go. Niantic refuses to be transparent with anything. Niantic continues to charge more and more, while delivering less and less. Not to mention the amount of bugs in this game they refuse to address. Yes, the anti-spoofing software caught me and I'm on a 7 day warning. But for a game that has so many bugs and demands so much of my time and money, it gets to a point where I have to ask myself if it's even worth it to play anymore. After 2 disappointing go fests and with Niantic as money hungry as ever, I'm starting to think it's not. Let people play how they want to play. When Niantic bans all the spoofers, let's see how much in profits they will see. Spoofers are your hard-core gamers. Losing them will cripple this game. Niantic wins this round but the war is never over. I will play legit, for now. Eventually the spoofing software will catch up and we will continue this cat and mouse game again. For now, gg Niantic. Not a spoofer, but I agree with this. I'm a mom and can't go out and play. I could at least play community days with an incense, but now I can't. Very hard to support a game that doesn't support us. I haven't spent any money on the game bc it cripples the people who can't go out and play every event.
I read auto-catchers were aganst the niantic terms and conditions policy so if we go by niantics logic all players including these creators are breaking tje rules but im sure niantic will look past this smh

Exactly. I spent more money when I spoofed than I do now. I caught my first strike in 2019 with a 30 day suspension and thought hard about if I would even return to the game after that. I did but I don’t play as often as I would like or at the level I could with spoofing. Spoofing does not interfere with anyone else game play other than gyms (and who really bothers with that broken aspect of the game anyway?) everyone plays for a different reason and mine is to catch all of the Pokémon available. I want 100% DEX completion and spoofing is the only way to do that with the regional BS Niantic pulls on us. If I had no fear of losing my account I’d still be Spoofing spending more money than ever to hit level 50 and fill my dex.
To be honest mate, i know that you are sponsored by Niantic and that this is your living but think about what you say before spouting this type of corporate propaganda. This is not a fair game, hasn't been for years. Sure when the game first started it was a lot simpler and it was a revolutionary new concept in gaming, but over the years this has changed and this game has become just like every other pay to win game, giving an unfair advantage on the players that can afford to pay and not to those who cant. Ive not played this game properly since 2016 but got back into it last year and one of the first friends that i added was a middle 20's man who i bonded with over playing the game, this man suffers from down syndrome and is permantly confined to a motorised wheelchair, and he was also the first spoofer i met. during our conversations i asked why he would do that and risk his account, and his reply to me was by doing this he gets to see the world and things on this planet that he could never physically do. He gets to see part of the world via pokestops , makes friends via discord and has had a good time doing it. To me his story is the whole reason why i dont see a problem with what he does. On top of that what unfair advatange does anyone have in this game, the only player interaction other than collection pokemon is gbl and to be honest thats broken anyway, you could have all the maxed out shundos in the world and the lag would still cause you to lose.
Also hate to say this mate but 55000000 stardust since day one of Pokémon go works out to be 25000 plus a day. Unless you were raiding 25 times a day since day one or caught an absurd amount of Pokémon every day 365 i dont think that all the tips you give on this channel could ever make that happen. Way to big a number to have never spoofed. It's just funny and ironic how these companies claim to be so woke and so inclusive yet this game really exclude so many people from playing... The people with mobility issues, the elderly who can't move and walk that well, the rural people with maybe 3 pokestops in their town, on and on they exclude so many. To your first point, I would agree, some disabilities and some diseases should warrant a "you can spoof" license to people, however with how this world works, many others would easily take advantage of that, and how do you track that then? Easier to just say none at all so you aren't then trying to police who actually can spoof and who shouldn't be spoofing, vs just are they spoofing yes and no.
To that second point, I've gotten nearly 20 mil off GBL alone, and have only played since beldum day in 2018. I can tell you for a fact I have not done every battle every day, so i could easily be up towards 23M from GBL as the past 3 seasons I've made it to rank 20 and called it a good day. It's about how you dedicate your time and resources, so if you play a lot on 3x catch stardust on com days or 2x catch stardust on spotlight hours, or even play during events with stardust boosted mon (staryu for July after Starly CD btw) and even just in general activate a starpiece here and there, you'll realize stardust is super easy to come by. 55M isn't easy, but it's not impossible especially for how much time he puts into stuff. Raiding isn't the best way to attain stardust btw...
for me, there is no difference if someone is spoofing or not, they don't affect my pokemon catching, gaining XP or stardust. So according to me niantic should work on the glitches and bugs instead of spoofers.

Same here heck I even remember being helped by spoofers a couple of times. Back before remote passes were added I was trying to some 3 star raids. But was a little low leveled back then. And every once in awhile a random person would pop up in the raid. And I knew know one else was close enough to enter the raid.
The things spoofers do that gets to a lot of people is hog gyms in rural areas. That's the only gripe I have with spoofers.

You need to check out rural areas before saying things like a fair playing field. I don't spoof myself, but I won't ever blame them for it... I submitted some pokestops in Winnipeg but no updates what so ever. Sort of given up on my play. I know the difference and difficulties for rural players, because I lived in Australia before moving to Canada... Winnipeg Canada sucks for pogo. Yeah, it’s stupid, I spoof and I see random huge amounts of Pokémon spawning in the middle of the damn ocean and some places where people live don’t get any, I just don’t get it, I don’t live in rural areas but I feel bad for the people that do, anyone that defends Niantic are the ones that afford all of the events and have that privilege
I spoof and I honestly don't think I've ever had an impact on someone else's experience? Like, the game feels like a single player experience for the most parts. I enjoy going out and catching pokemons, especially during hype community days where I meet one or two random players. At the same time, spoofing to cities like NYC to stock up on materials, rare pokemon, daily raids is also pretty fun. If my community was a bit more alive then I probably wouldn't cheat. Some rural players don't cheat, because they feel like that completely ruins the spirit of the game and I completely respect that decision. But if others wanna cheat and the only people they're hurting is a multi million dollar company but not buying their stupid raid passes then I'd say that's fine.

I dont see how spoofing is an issue I've been thinking about doing it myself I started when the game first came out as soon as I realized you couldnt move freely around like the gamboy games I thought it was the dumbest thing ever. I get on like 3-4 times a month maybe less there is nothing around the nearest gym and poke stop is 20 miles away . My pokemon is in a gym for over 140 days smh.... spoofers have nothing to do with my game play well maybe in the master leauge only but battle leauge is whack i don't play it because I have nothing good after 6 years of being in a rural area. They should just unlock free movement let us get on a train or ss anne to go places lol.
What I havent seen or heard mentioned is the "GPS signal lost" bug...
1. Physically go to a location in your area with a cluster of stops and gyms.
2. Activate a gotcha or similar device.
(I have the trainer club evolve watch).
3. While leaving the game on use your phone settings to deactivate your phones location function.
This will result in the game essentially "locking" your position to where GPS information was last available...right in the middle of all those stops. And for as long as your game is open and the gotcha device is connected, (30 to 60 minutes) you'll be able to physically leave that location, go home, shower, go eat, etc, and your game will stay there and be able to spin stops and collect balls. Eventually the gotcha device will disconnect and you will not be able to reconnect it as long as your location is deactivated which means you'll have to physically reset your position to do it again.
This does NOT work for catching pokemon, only for spinning stops for balls.
Obviously this could be considered an exploit or "not in the spirit of the game". But my question. Is it BANNABLE under these new guidelines?
So I don't spoof, but I can honestly say I have thought about it. You say the game should be fair to everyone, but you have the ability to travel and make a living off this. People that work full time jobs and have a family to take care of have a hard time playing especially in a rural area.
So for me i barely have any spawns in my area and it honestly makes me not even open the game. The closest good spot is over an hour from me, but again family and my work doesn't allow me to go that far to play a game. The old incense during the pandemic actually had me playing because I would get stuff and have to buy pokeballs from the shop due to no stops near me. They nerfed that so I stopped opening the game completely.
So to me that isn't fair, plus doing a 5 star raid? Lol what are those I only get to do it if I get invited remotely. There are other methods through discord ect ect but that is just so much work and the game becomes a chore.
I have watched spoofing videos and yes sure them getting good shundos and what not but at the end of the day it's a game that is supposed to be fun. I never understand why people get mad at others getting a shinny ect I only care about my account no one else's.
I honestly just wish instead of spending all the time trying to stop Chester's they would fix rural areas so people everywhere can play. I can't be the only one that has this issue!

I feel like this may have already been said, but my theory for Niantic's stance on spoofing comes down to the fact that it messes with their data collection. After all, they rely on collecting people's locations for their profit.
They can just filter those players out. Simply by making a validation guess.

It’s odd that a device that can auto catch Pokémon while game is off is accepted and not considered an unfair advantage but other techniques are.
While I personally just play when I can and don’t do any of the banned actions I see no harm in those that do. Person 1 can have 100 shiny 100lv name your Pokémon, that does not affect what I have. It literally does zero harm to my account.
Now if the game was in a way that only one person can catch a Pokémon or Niantic was giving prizes for first this or that than I could understand their point.
They want everyone to be at the exact same playing field, but I only have about 2 pokestops near me and have to walk at least 10 minutes to reach one of them and then 20 minutes to reach another, plus it’s an average of 35 degrees Celsius outside and I don’t want to get a burn every time I want to play and only end up catching a pikachu

1. Gofeast was total crap a double digit ticket with poor results especially in rural areas

The game was never intented for people who live in rural areas, only those who live in or close to a city.
For someone who is missing a leg, how the hell am I going to get out doors without being baby sat by someone? The nearest pokestop is a longways away and I can’t do raids, spotlight hours etc etc. I’m not dumping money for remote passes and end up getting banned for my disability. Spawns are trash and I can’t get out everyday. My butt is in a chair everyday, my parents are at work or busy with making meals for the day, gardening etc. Not to mention, but gas is high and who on earth is going to pay $5 a gallon to drive somewhere to play a game? I can’t do that.

I don’t spoof but I live in a rural area. Spawns at my house are rare. My daughter who lives in a very urban city can spin a gym and two stops from her bed.

I was pleasantly surprised to see the comment section of this video. Imagine making a game so unfairly balanced in the first place that people feel the need to cheat to get enjoyment out of it. Niantic at it again sucking every last drop of fun out of the game.
I do honestly believe there is such thing as "healthy spoofing", I don't have an issue with spoofing when you are going out to a local city and playing as you would if you were walking around. It makes your gameplay both more safe and more fun to play even at times when it generally wouldnt be safe to go out and play. I dont support the toxic gym sniping or teleporting to hundos etc though
Sure, it's nice they're looking through this, but to some (myself included) it's just more fun to play as a spoofer. I don't really care about showing off, I just want to be able to collect at my own pace. I live in a remote area in a small country. I have a few gyms and pokestops around my city. It's just not worth it if they immediately ban any person who spoofs. A lot of people can't travel around countries and find regional Pokémon. We're not all successful youtubers. I just find it a bit disappointing from Niantic.

Would rather this time be spent on finding the people who cheat in GBL and improving the GBL system. Sure, it's annoying when spoofers flex their hundos and shundos, but I don't hold myself up to them as a measure. However, the GBL cheaters directly affect my game play and cost me rare spawns or premium items through rewards.

@@sophrenia Weird things happen in some battles. Some opponents seem to get their charge move faster than you. Or the game stops for a few seconds then when it comes back they have a charge.
Not all oddities are because of cheaters, GBL has had performance issues in the past, but I am pretty sure some people have gotten some work around. Personally speaking, those people are the scummiest people in PoGo and should be outright banned immediately. I don't really care if people spoof TBH.
In my opinion, the easiest way to address this is just guarantee the rewards for finishing the set. They may need to change the system a bit like have a CP minimum for each league so people don't just throw in 10 CP pokemon to finish the battle faster. Also, you forfeit your reward if you quit the match.

So, according to Niantic, they want to ensure a "fair, fun and safe" experience for everybody. So let's see about those 3 points:
Fair: In my country, there is no in person event at all. I live in a city, pretty much at the centre. There are a few gyms and some pokestops, but getting a legendary raid done with local people only? Forget it, even above level 40. Get a bit outside of the centre, it's worse. How is this gameplay it fair in comparison to NYC, Dan Francisco, LA, Paris etc, where there's tons of spawn and even a lvl 5 player can get into a legendary raid done? The closest hot-spot for me is abroad. If I want an experience that might even come close to somenother players, I have to go abroad to play the game, and Niantic says this is fair? This isn't. I ask myself how would you pr any other american react if you were (indirectly) told that if you want a good game experience, all you have to do is pick your car, drive down cross the border of Mexico and play in Tijuana. There would be an uproar. And if you doubt this, just wonder why every successful pokemon go content creator either lives in or nearby a hot-spot or is spoofing.
Fun: In my area, a city area in my country, there's very few pokestops and even less gyms. I made an experiment yesterday and knocked a gym out without replacing pokemon in it. More than 24 hours later, that gym in the city centre is still empty. This is how fun the game is to play here without spoofing: its so fun, people gave up, they won't even refill a gym innthe city centre in 24 hours. The game is not fun outside of those areas. Billy, if you doubt that, please go play the game one month in a remote area. No remote raid pass, and see for yourself how not fun it is.
Safe: encouraging a kid to get into a remote dark alley in a city to catch a pokemon, or indirectly encouraging a kid to go abroad by himself to get a better experience is anything but safe. Walking with your eyes riveted to your phone is anything but safe (yes, I know about rhe warning. I also know about humans, and this warning won't stop things to happen).
So on all count from Niantic's objectives, the game fails. Spoofing fixes all that: the fame is now much more fair, much more fun, and much, much safer.
If Niantic wants that, they should think about fixing the game design first

Also, most players cannot afford to physically fly to these different cities for big events. Niantic will probably lose quite a bit of cash if they continue to ban spoofers.

Niantic is no more at Free to play policy. We go to job, come home tired, try to open game hoping to get any legendary or shiny within small 1-2 hr window, is really frustrating at rural areas. I have played legit in rural areas of Maharashtra, india. Honestly saying, u wouldn't enjoy, there's nothing to play. Even if i create few pokestops here and there, you will fed up of spawn rate and shiny rates, even on CD.
Yea the gym hoggers are annoying, I encountered someone who had all the gyms in my area under 10 minutes & I took 1 & not even a minute after putting my Pokemon in the gym it was already knocked out.

Hey y'all! I am a grandmother of 2(12 and 9) and I actually saw my granddaughter watching this video on the TV(we have UA-cam on there). So back in December she got a debit card from her parents and had around $50 put on there by me. Now, I occasionally would play Poke mon with her and my son. I was never a hardcore player and we all live pretty close in a semi-rural area in Northeast Georgia. So my granddaughter actually bought my son, her, and I access to spoofing. I had no idea it wasn't allowed until I saw this video! I talked to her and she brought up a lot of points I see a lot of other people making! There are little to no blue spinny things around us unless one of us were to drive 20 minutes which is just a waste of gas to put a Pokemon in and get only 50 coins if it stays longer than 15 hours. I think the company is money hungry, and the game is defiantly not free to play like it used to be.

As a spoofer I did it to level up since I had little to any stops in my area but omg 20-40 was as quick and was now able to add pokestops in my area. Which shows rural areas have a harder time to even level up. Poke balls aren’t remove from the bag,friendship’s hardly gets us anything and pokecoins are as hard to get since sometimes the Pokémon stays there for days.
Many friends of mine across my country doesn't have pokestops in about a 10km radius around them. Niantic should add some more pokestops for Google map landmarks and more meet up locations so that everyone will get motivated. I feel bad for losing my PoGo friends.
It's also unfair advantage because the game promotes people with big pockets to pay for shop items and able to travel around the world flexing about the pokemon they get I feel like those people are toxic too. The game is unfair from the start if you have money you can get everything in the game.
I love that He likes to speak on a level playing field. But no, Ninatic does not try to make it the same playing field for everyone . I get one spawn a day, and I have to drive ten minutes for a stop. Let alone a gym. So all the collection challenges we just had. I hit none because of my spawn rate. Sure I have a group of international friends that send me raids but as far as me leveling up to 45 has been a nightmare because I get one team rocket ballon a day. And I have to do 100 grunts and 50 leaders….
Issues with this;
I played in Dallas, Texas while at a convention it would randomly fling me to the corners of the earth because the hotel or convention center was screwing with GPS, I got a warning, my sister got a ban. We were standing in a hotel.
"It makes it unfair" The game is unfair, it will always be an uneven playing field, I traded 240 pokemon with my friends after the Dieno comm day, My partner got 2 hundos and a lucky hundo, my sister on her new account got a ton of luckies, I got a few luckies at low 3*. I played the comm day the whole time start to finish and walked around the whole time and got 2 shinies, my sister signed in at work and got 4 and my partner who was walking got 1. There is no blanket luck for everyone, some people will get more than others, I had my wheelchair which is why I even got to do comm day. I have friends who are stuck at home.
I have spoofed recently mainly to trade with people who live far from me. I think it stupid to drive 30 minutes just trade with someone when gas cost so much. ( I have many friends who live far from me.) I never liked having drive just to trade which just takes few seconds. Also I spent more money for raid passes while spoofing than while I have not. As long I pay them they should not care if spoof or not.
I'm a bit older than most people. I play it, to bond with my 8 year son. Love capturing new Pokémon, and show him. Then i allow him to play. I understand the disadvantages of spoofing. I personally can not, because i use my company mobile phone, so i can't tamper with changing my location. But i can get people to spoof to my location. So i can make trades. I feel like, if they're going to enforce some of these, They should at least allow trade partners to trade from anywhere. Perhaps used a remote trade purchase in the shop or something. Especially when there's trade research challenges. Not everyone player is going to Australia just to capture Pokémon. Let's not forget price of fuel today, which effects the airline prices too.
I will shamelessly admit to spoofing. I have a very young child and an inability to travel very often. I do not abuse it, I teleport to one singular location and use incenses and lores I purchase to catch pokemon and spin stops. I have also spent hundreds of dollars on raids, hate me if you want, but living in a rural area w/ 1 spawn every 6 hours is insane.

I have stops I can walk to. My biggest complaint is the lack of spawns. When I go on vacation (lake house where I get full bars on my 4G) the only spawn I get is the one guaranteed. Nothing there to nominate either.

The only negative thing i could see with geting rare stuff while hacking is that they can sell it potentaly… however idgaf if people cheat.
I started spoofing in Jaunuary(I honestly didn't know that they were slowing their bans or crap like that I just happened to finally catch wind and thought I'd try it)
My take. I have saved probably 1000's of dollars by spoofing. I was joining raid apps, discords, everything to get into raid groups from around the world. I was spending money buying incenses so I could play at home all the time. I became addicted to the game, like a ton of people. I probably spent 1500 dollars in like a month on everything in December maybe? I bought 100 dollars in coins in January and haven't since I started spoofing. This is ultimately all a game of money. Maybe I'm a corner case, because with more accessibility to raids lots probably raid even more all day, but not me. I do my free ones, and with spoofing I don't need to use inceneses at all.
I think that like any game, if someone wants to do it...who cares? I spoof and I don't run around showing any shundos I have off to everyone and idk anyone who does that. It's an ease of access to the game, and in my case, I save a ton of money with how I want to play the game. My gf works all day and doesn't have time to play this game and any event and gets home late at night and no I don't want her driving around our local college late at night, the only place around us with a bunch of stops.
This crap is on Niantic. I can't imagine after reading all these comments, if I was disabled, in the middle of nowhere, a stay at home mom....a number of other things. I can't imagine their scenarios, and how they might be able to play the game at all now. I def repect @trainerclub for all his content and even this video. At the same time, I think that Niantic has created this problem with its money manipulation tho of events, raid passes, etc. Just a sad day for the pokemon go community. Which btw, includes spoofers whether peeps like it or not. End rant. Goof luck in your pogo endeavors peeps
I don't think he understands that spoofing takes a normal person playing the game as well. Spoofing doesn't immediately give you an advantage, it's all up to the person.
Spoofing is awesome
They need to revisit the the trade distance. They should have events or friend challenges that result in a distance free trade.
I’ve played this game since the beginning. I started spoofing when I finished college and got into my career field that requires me to work 12-15 hours a day. I miss tons of events. But with spoofing I’m able to play them when I’m free.
I was never toxic. I don’t care for PVP or battling for gyms. In fact I loved helping other trainers. I joined many discords and always invited people to raids. I traded with others to help complete dex and even jumped on people’s accounts to help them too.
I’ve received my first ever red flag 7 day ban last week. And honestly, if they take away my account, I just don’t care. I’ll stop playing.
But I’ll still support you and other UA-camrs! I enjoy watching your channel, love the content and will forever love Pokémon!
*1. Spoofing gives you 0 Advantage over over legit players.
If you spoof and lets say for example you catch a Shundo Gible, that gible only has value to you,
for a legit player this would have 0 Value, because it isnt obtained legit.
You, as a legit player can play the game however you want, without any disadvantages in your game.
Spoofers do not make your POGO experience worse. And the one thing with spoofing to gyms is really not that present.
there may be instances where stuff like this happens and for that these spoofers should get banned! However from my own experience
96% of the non legit players only care about shundo hunting and raiding.
*2. There is no toxic behaviour, all spoofers are cool with legits and only flex their shundos in the spoofer Discords
And if there is somebody that has obviously cheated to obtain rare pokemon, dont let it influence your playstyle.
Play how you want! There is nobody telling you how to play! Dont make the game just about bragging your virtual Monsters that youve caught!
*3. I think Niantic should rather focus on making events playable, fixing their servers and minimizing the amount of bugs that every
update comes with than banning people for playing their own way, without even affecting others.
*4.And if they want to make the game more fair, they should stop putting every single thing behind a paywall! Also giving rural
players the ability to create gyms and stops more easily would significantly improve the situation.
*5.I personaly got a 7 Day warning for spoofing, from now on I will be playing legit but also at the same time I dont regret anything.
I just think this is the wrong approach. And before you go ahead and give all the spoofers all the hate you have in yourself,
maybe think about the situation and inform yourself about how "bad" Spoofing really is.

You dont live here in my town , i get spoofed off of same gyms everyday like clock work 4:12 pm same guy , im setting there i can see all the cars
As a legit player turned spoofer after gofest this year i just want shinys i could careless about hunting for Shundos.
I also enjoy getting all the rare ones my friends on the western side of the states cant get so i can help fill their pokedex.

im disabled i use it so i can play. i hope they dont take my account away. i mostly stay at the same place to play and dont travel around much.
I played legit at the beginning of 2016 when the game came out. I lost interest in the game because of how difficult it was to raid. I only came back because a friend showed me you can spoof and have an easier time raiding. After that I was hooked. I'm not proud of it but I've probably spent $1000 alone so far this year raiding because I had the ability to because of spoofing. I never held down gyms because I never like ruining someone elses experience. I've only focused on raiding and If i'm being honest, I'll continue to spoof to raid. If I get banned then so be it. Thats less money i'll be spending. Trying to raid legit is a major time consumption if you can even find people to raid with. I enjoy this game when I spoof. I don't when I can't. I'll never go out of my way to ruin someone elses experience. I understand what I'm doing is technically cheating and if I get banned so be it.
they just reported closing 4 projects- layed off 8% of workers because nothing can take off like pogo - yet instead of fixing and improving they drive away active players- who reportedly spent $$ being able to raid more where they couldn't in their local areas. does that make sense?
And as Swag tips also mentioned. Bringing the community days back to 3 hours makes it hard for a PvP player to get the right stats on a Pokemon for GBL. If you have weather boost you are already screwed on getting good PvP stats. This does give a disadvantage to normal players v.s. Spoofers.
A bigger window for CD would help a lot. The new system they introduced with Deino CD is amazing. But would rather see a CD of a minimum of 4 hours and extended with the raiding system if people want to grind. But than again, there must be plenty of raids to choose from. On Deino CD I played in a big city, but still hardly any raids to be seen after the first hour Zweilous was in raids.
Bro I’m a full time student, full time worker and I live in a small town and all I want is to be able to do legendary raids. If it wasn’t for spoofing I probably would have done like 1-2 raids all these years
a normal spoofer wouldnt flex their shundo collection, and if go plus is allowed, bots should be allowed too, using go plus is taking advantage as well, just cause its made by niantic doesnt mean its fair for players who dont have it lol
Using GO Plus does not mean you can catch all the pokemon nearby. I know it works automatically, but there is probability to maximum 60% to catch a pokemon (by my observation) and the probability is getting worse if the pokemon's Basic Catch Rate is very low, and also it can only give you 150 exp if it successfully catched and 25 exp if it fled. Non go plus players have advantage catching with higher probability up to 100% and getting more exp if they optimize spin throws, accuracy and fast catch trick. Bot, on the other side, has these kind of behaviour and that's why it is not allowed.
@@Leowi23 it still allows you an attempt at catching more without trying and it spins stops and that is a big advantage.
Without spoofers the game will die, spoofers spend lots of money for passes and incubators. Will cost Niantic millions
