Hi Karla! I have missed your floss tubes. Sounds like Samantha is hopefully enjoying adulthood. I will miss her on your floss tubes but what can you do...you stitch more than enough to be just you on your channel as has been demonstrated over the last year or so. I would probably need to splint any WIP parade I did into 2 videos as well since I think I am sitting at something like 70+ WIPs now even with having a few finishes already this year despite losing some speed while my hand was first splinted and then casted for a little over a month due to breaking the 4th and 5th metacarpals in my dominant hand while pushing Walter on the swings and tripping over my own feet, landing on wood chips. I knew immediately that there was something going on since I rarely bruise and bruised darkly and deeply on both sides of my hand plus had point tenderness so just called and made my own ortho appointment the next day and the following day my suspicion was confirmed. I tell you, don't fall after you turn 65. It has been one helluva year for me. Walter turned 2 in January and is so smart, absolutely love watching him trying to figure out how stuff is made, what makes things work, and trying to get himself and/or his toys out of jams he gets into. His dad was a gifted child as well as his uncle, and my daughter was no slouch in school since she made nearly all As without putting any effort into studying, so hopefully they can keep him from becoming too bored in school. He is getting the idea of potty training now and will ask to go on the big boy potty sometimes, is nearly off sippy and lidded cups, recognizes most letters and colors when he wants to, and doesn't forget anything!!!! It was funny a few weeks ago, my mom's elderly cat has been having digestive issues and keeps throwing up. My mom was having a migraine and Walter found a place where the cat had thrown up so he told her and she said okay GG will get it when she gets up in a few minutes, and he picked up on the fact that GG was not feeling well, went and grabbed some tissues and cleaned it up for her. He is really just a sweet boy and I hope it stays that way. Okay, enough about my grandson. How has work been for you? Sounds like you have been having fun going to retreats, whether formal or informal ones. I hope time will allow you to get back to making floss tubes more frequently. I know your WIP parade had to take you hours to get ready for and I appreciate it so much. Take care and happy stitching.
Dawn I love hearing about you and the family! Sorry about your hand.. I had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands in January.. all is well and I only missed 1 day of stitching so far. I am planning on getting back into my regular video routine.. I do miss doing them and the comments of people who are like me! Don’t feel alone when you see others have big wips too! Hopefully I can get the 2nd half of this video uploaded tonight after work. It needed to be done and has definitely taken me longer than I thought.. it was fun visiting some wips I haven’t seen in awhile too!
