Could listen to Captain Hutchinson all day !! My father flew for the RAF,BEA/British Airways Flew 707s and 747s and retired about the same time as Captain Hutchinson but didn't fly Concorde .

I found it hard to believe that my daughters father and mother in law were involved in Concordes first charter until I saw this posting. The Bell at Aldworth was the pub. Brian Calvert was the pubs patron and there were a number of charters for the customers. The events were recorded on a tapestry Bayeau style with the Concorde flights being shown. It was the jam on the bread and butter that enabled the BA Concorde fleet to be profitable, all thanks to Calvert and his landlord, as recorded on the tapestry designed by Sarah and David Thomas. RIP Brian Calvert who is buried in the local churchyard at Ashampstead.

Thank you so much for uploading these interviews with John. Such an interesting & nice guy. I have fond memories of watching those Holiday Air airshow programmes he presented for the BBC throughout my childhood.

Really, it's our pleasure. Getting to know John and his wonderful story has been a joy. All of us here at PTUK miss those Holiday Air programmes on BBC1 too 😊
