We need a “15 minutes with Matt” channel that has a weekly presentation Matt gives on things he’s interested in. Such as theology, psychology, leadership, sociology, etc! Or do it as a podcast!!!
From a certain standpoint and viewpoint, that could help produce new ideas to help his business, I don't even have a job yet, but watching these videos has given me an almost amateur idea about all of it. But you're right, because by doing this, it could open up his eyes more and other workers of the studio, to more ideas, by speaking about these things with the purpose of informing an audience, kind of like documentaries, world-wide speakers and so forth. Which should, if I'm looking into this correctly, would be an effective way to help with some of the current issues, because unlike when you are doing it in a business meeting, yes you have more options and opinions right infront of you like the meeting, going through by watching something you said to inform an audience, would also give a wide range of possibilities to be produced, as I said, if I'm looking into this correctly.

That's a really good idea! Being a salesman I can say with confidence that would help. Getting businesses together makes each business stronger. Look at Saint Louis, Missouri for example. It's a large and powerful city with a lot of people, influence, and power. Want to know how it got to be that way? It is actually made up of many small villages. They were all so close together that they decided to come together as a whole. Those villages still exist but now they have a powerful umbrella to define them as a whole. In business, it's a bit different. No company really wants to give up their creativity so what should they do? I would personally start searching their core values and mission statement to source out tangible product companies they could work with. Maybe not even in the traditional sense, but in the sense of using their strengths to be able to build profit for that company and themselves. Dude Perfect did a great job with Nerf and using their products as product placement in their own videos. What strengths do you see Hi 5 having that other companies can benefit from? Just that little follicle of a idea hair could grow into something larger. What knowledge did you gain from their business meeting? Do you know of any other small businesses they could align with in core values to help each other get through the pandemic slump in our economy?

Most business meetings are enjoyable like this if everyone is on the same page and focused. Personally I'm more of a support in a business meeting and not a leader of them. I enjoy that role much more.

I really do love the authentic direction, Matt. I originally started following you during Internet Icon a million years ago because I liked the passion and authenticity within your projects. Slowly over the years I lost interest as things became more structured, but followed your family vlogs until they stopped. These new Matthias videos have reignited my appreciation and love for your work and remind me of why I initially enjoyed your content to begin with, while still staying true to the larger company format. While this is likely just a big wordy paragraph to get buried and never read, I did want to emphasize that anyway because it really has been such a change in my perspective of Hi5 studios, and it mirrors what seems to be the current conversations within the company.
Appreciate that! I will say it’s been tough running a company authentically because it’s hard to find a model for that because everything is always so hidden but we’re finding our way!

I can't begin to imagine the pressure that comes from needing to reliably and consistently produce structured content that is at its best when happening out of authenticity, creativity, and passion, but from what I've seen you've successfully created an environment that allows that to happen through the enjoyment people have from working at Hi5, and I think you're doing an awesome job in this shift by finding ways to showcase the most impactful part of the company- the people.

id love to have matt as a professor... matthias is one of the person who really inspired me in my life that sometimes his words becomes mine. When he gets really serious in videos I tend to absorb it in my head and when I console people sometimes I tend to say his advices. Ive learned a lot from matt and if people will have him as professor im sure you wouldnt just learn from the subject, you'll also learn communication, or just in life in general. But Idk AHAHH

Being completely honest, i would love to see Matthias educate his team, and maybe his audience more. It would be so informative and insightful to learn his ideas, principles, and opinions because we haven't seen that on any of the hi5 channels; partly because all of them are so light-hearted and satire. I'm all for learning from someone who is wiser and running a business, especially a business on the internet.

As a guy with 7 years of Business Analyst experience and 4 years as a PMP certified Project Management now, I think canceling some channels so you can focus on growing the strong ones is your best decision right now. I feel like if you collectively focus your efforts, and brain storming, on creating fresh topical content for the best revenue generating channels, is your best bet. For instance, canceling BU, while it may be a project you love, was a good decision if your analytics backed it up. Consolidating your resources to focus on fewer channels would also decrease real estate costs. You guys definitely have a lot of underutilized space. Good job, Matthias, and keep it up, buddy!

What a creative comment
As someone who has been following Hi5 for a while I like this style of content going up on this channel. I wasn't really interested in the vlogs but as they have become more transparent I find that style very insightful into the daily workings of Hi5. Also the office style vids are dope. Some good ideas for colab would be like gg and dn doing a products gamers use and have Paul and Conner on. Then on gg use a couple of the products so you can send people to dope or nope as well. Also I think more games on gg would also be beneficial. Stick with your normal amount of videos but throw out a couple new games and see if the ratings are good. Keep up the good work everyone at Hi5!
Really like this type of content... it’s fun, real and still educational... so I feel that it is in Matts nature to share knowledge, so even though the “education journey” didn’t won, we’re still getting that.

I really love when you talk about the business and operation side of things. I find it really interesting. Please don't stop.
But for real, I think Wood’s idea was actually really good, albeit he didn’t explain it great. Basically this channel would be the experimental channel. You try different things with videos here, and if they prove to be good changes/ideas, then you implement those things on the other channels. Basically a less risky place to try new things.
They're alrdy going to be trying new things by having more collabs.
I like how Sam keeps trying to get David dobrik and then Matt is like oh we're helping other channels. Bruh, David dobrik is bigger than hi5. If you get bigger stars like that they'll be helping you.
@@madhatten00 Sure but cross collabs like that only work if your content is completely aligned. IE collabs only bring eyes to your channel so sure it might pop off one video but you need to keep eyes after that. Hence its not really sustainable.

I absolutely adored the energy of this video! Not only did it genuinely teach me valuable planning tactics (dangit Matt, your 80/20 rule is so dang cool!), but it was so cool to see the genuine and fun dynamic between the M Vlogs team and the rest of the studio. You guys truly showed your ability to both have fun and be serious, and seeing both sides of Hi5's operations was super enjoyable and cool to witness.

I’ve been putting off working on my business plan for something I wanna create one day when the chance arises and this really showed me some new ways to go about planning for where I want it to go and how I want it to run in the future! I’ve honestly always wanted to work here. Because y’all are my idols and I’ve always wanted to work with the people in the office and just have a bunch of fun. UA-cam was something that I was on when I was younger and have always wanted to get back into it. Y’all made me want to create a channel for myself again. Thanks guys.
So, this is the video, where getting rid of Pat idea was born.
I know you aren't asking for advice but I want this channel to do well and I feel that my input is shared across much of the fanbase
so I will give my input which is, your videos are too long, I am reluctant to watch a Matthias vlog video because my time is precious and I can get the same amount of happiness out of a 10 or 20-minute video so why would I spend that extra 10 minutes on this video. so in my opinion which truly shouldn't matter to you because I don't know if my feelings are reciprocated but in my opinion, you need to cut down on the number of bits to make 20-minute videos, not that that means you need to lower the quality, if anything you should be capable of higher quality because you will be lowering quantity, I feel the same way about dope or nope, it just feels like there is a lot of empty space and it makes the video feel slow and at points boring.
Note: if anyone reads this tell me if this is how you feel or if I am a minority.

@@onlyoverkill by the way I dressed up as you for Halloween in 2017 I bought a team edge tee and everything I dyed my hair, but the point is you have been a part of my life for a long time and I want to say thank you for being a good example and distill me into the person I am today so thank you from me and the community for being a great influencer and a better person.
I like how Matt handles things. The meetings are effective, serious but also fun. Which allows the employees to work calmly and relaxed.

Matt will probably never see this but I’m gonna tell him my input as well. But high 5 as a whole needs to align as a company and everyone needs to be on the same page. But the employees are very self centered and only care about themselves and learning from you or you doing their work. This won’t be part of the 80/20 but you need to make a foundation first to be able to make the 80/20 possible. Everyone on the team is only caring about themselves and not the team. You need team players who want to have the company grow and thrive. Yes of course you will teach them new things but I think you need to get your team in alignment first before you can get into doing Collabs and educating others. Those will come with time but you 1000% need to get your team on the same page and get a common goal. Of course the high 5 goal is to be profitable but you need others goals besides that. Tanner the first thing he said is that he would do woods ideas so someone does his work and then everyone else went to educate to learn for themselves. Which is not for the team.
