Love the video. Actually showed us some interesting cards and not just the usual / monsters that he could have done judging by the case of cards he has
Agasi made a smart move. Selling all his high value modern for vintage.
Let’s be honest as there is a difference between vintage and the super high end vintage. We can all buy that 1962 Topps Mantle in a nice grade, we all can’t buy a 1952 Topps Mantle in even a PSA 1. This whole narrative by many UA-camrs that it’s a great investment is misleading. Most of the elite vintage cards he was showing are out of the price range of 99% of people in the hobby.
Sealed cases are a cool investment, but older sealed cases just make me nervous at this point unless I’ve owned it since the year of release.
Man hats off to Agasi. That is a crazy collection.
His PSA 10 🐐 is even more spectacular (if that's possible), since the first 2 digits of the serial number is 23😲🔥

Agasi seems really humble. Very smart collectors. That is what I am trying to do in comic books, but not on his level.
I keep telling comic guys to buy Gold and Silver keys, but they keep wasting their money on modern garbage

I’m going to say he has some bucks and buying/flipping ultra modern isn’t the sole reason for that collection. In saying that, very impressive collection he has.
@@chrisolivo6591 his stuff is definitely the higher end stuff, but you can go get a 1970 Willie mays for example in vg condition for under $30

You don’t have a vintage market without a modern market. If modern crashes too much more and people lose interest vintage will start to decline. They are hand in hand. The modern market cultivates collectors and usually people start dabbling with vintage. Most are both modern and vintage. But all this really dumb ass vintage vs modern stuff is terrible for both vintage and modern. Many people just prefer collecting players you can watch. Many like newer cards, nothing wrong with that.
@@colbybrand5326 vintage has gone up a decent amount. 2016 you could get a VG 1965 mickey mantle for around $100. That card us going for $250 today. T206 cards have increased 5 to 10 fold since 2010

Oh god, the vintage vs modern thing is so stupid. You are an adult right? We are all collecting pictures of players. If someone collects modern cards like Jordan or Kobe, who gives a f. If they collect ultra modern, who gives a f. What you guys don’t realize is that if the modern market sinks into oblivion, guess what?
@@colbybrand5326 confused are you. agasi made some great moves, getting in on the fad chase cards while it was hot and flipping them to vintage goats was a bold brilliant play. also took a LOT of work to make all those plays and find those cards. stay away from fad cards as they will continue to go down.
@@pikepoke you think anything new is “fad”. Dude, I have Ty cobs, Babe Ruth’s, Jackie Robinsons, wilt chamberlain’s, pistol Pete’s, mike Tyson’s. Etc. I also have modern, like Jordan, Lebron, etc. definitely have ultra modern as well.
What you don’t realize is that what has turned “fad” right now, is vintage. I am taking a break on my vintage buying and buying ultra modern and modern. But again, I love vintage.
There is no need to do the vintage vs modern thing, it’s stupid. They are dependent on one another, look at a graph for god sake?!?! If you guys keep successfully throwing a wet blanket on modern, watch vintage tank. I don’t know how you all don’t understand that?!?! Vintage is at the top of the chart, even though I hate selling it, I’m selling it now. These UA-camrs push one thing and then the next, it’s just a vintage fad now. Really, there is not much reason beyond fad and hype that these guys should move up fast. It’s not like they are going to hit more home runs!!

Agasi is my type of collector too -- however, from the standpoint of wanting to own the card regardless of grade. That is refreshing in today's condition-conscious hobby.

Super smart move! Amazing collection
Investors will always be drawn to ultra modern b/c of the profit potential. Vintage is generally a safer play, but if you're looking to gamble you're buying current players/prospects that can double in value in the short term. The very reason he was able to parlay his ultra modern into amazing vintage cards is the incredible volatility of the ultra modern market.

Ok, the fleer jordan rookie PSA 10 has rough edges. How is that a PSA 10?
i noticed that too
PSA 10 or the word GemMint is the worst thing about this hobby. Many of these cards aren’t GemMint but it created 2 types of collectors that drive prices insane. It’s a brilliant marketing scheme.
The first type of GemMint collector are rich guys like him who buy it more for status. I’m sure he can find a PSA 9 Fleer Jordan that looks just as good as that 10 for $25,000. But he can opt for the 10 simply because he can afford it.
The 2nd type of GemMint collectors are ultra modern flippers. Just watch their videos and the difference between getting a 9 or 10 back from PSA could mean thousands of dollars.
The bottom line is there isn’t much difference between most PSA 9 and 10’s but GemMint has created an artificial market of high end collectors who are willing to pay for them.
@@chrisolivo6591 20 years from now, everybody will remember how easy it was to get a PSA 10, just to put a smile on your face and money in your pocket. People used to flip PSA's over to Beckett, now they're doing the opposite.
@@johngawrylash7732 I stopped collecting in the late 90’s right before grading became the norm. I missed the era when BGS ruled over PSA in the early 00’s. When did PSA start to overtake BGS and what cause that shift in the hobby?
@@chrisolivo6591 Just my opinion, PSA hands out more 10's, period. You have to ask yourself, if another grader isn't giving your cards as many 10's, are they just making stuff up ? They must be seeing something.

PSA standards have not changed. Just because the Fleer Jordan is centered better doesn't mean the others aren't as good. PSA does not weigh centering as harsh as other companies when awarding PSA 10. Please stop sharing grading conspiracies.

That Jordan auto on a Star card... lol. The odds that whole thing is just fake with a Upper Deck era signature that doesn't really look legit.. 35,000$! lol- no
20 years ago, my wife worked at a local card shop and when they went out of business, she brought some cards home in a shoe box. There it sat in our basement for about 20 years. Having no idea what was in there, I decided to go through it one day. 2 very rare Lebron James cards were in there from 2003. To put things into perspective, the biggest Lebron James card collector in the world (bobmtrack )has one of them, MVP Rising to the Occasion but, not a gold numbered card. The other one, UD Hardcourt Clear Commemoratives autographed LJ-A, he has one of those. Just going by the display on his channel, he may have more cards not on display, but still, quite a find I would say. These are very nice cards and looking at the PSA pop report on the LJ-A, I would say thats a once in a lifetime card. Graded in Canada by one of the toughest graders in the business, I would say that these cards are very flippable. Both are on sale on Ebay right now, but, I'm not giving them away. I know what I have here and I'm willing to hang on to them.
