  • This week's video will show you how to prepare tindora aka tendli. This tiny gourds (ivy gourds) like parmal although tindora/tendli is actually something different. That being said, you can definitely prepare parmal this way, and it will be simply delicious. This tindora dish is entirely about simplicity. It uses only two spices, and another handful of ingredients. The ivy gourds themselves cook up in the most succulent and flavour packed way, and the final sprinkling of coconut takes this dish over the top.     INGREDIENTS LISTED BELOW ⬇⬇⬇
    2-3 cups of prepared tindora (washed and sliced) You can also cook parmal this way.
    2 tbsp vegetable oil
    1 tsp mustard seeds
    1 tsp turmeric powder
    sliced green chillies
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    1 tsp sugar
    salt to taste

    Have been loving ivy gourd since childhood. Your style of cooking is just awesome. Will try this soon. You should try making tondli bhaat (tondli: ivy gourd in marathi) just tastes amazing

      I will be sure to give that a try! I already want to get more of this tondli! It was never a vegetable that I was exposed to in my childhood but I'm so happy to have discovered it as an adult. I just love it so much!
