      Are there any other benefits you see by being a freelancer?

    No disrespect, but I disagree with the idea that freelancers work for themselves because they are still required to find an employer to hire and pay them, they just have control over the pace that they complete the job. Entrepreneurs work for themselves usually by building a team or system to distribute the workload for their own company. They are not reliant upon obtaining active work from other companies, but from their own customers. There is no one above them in the hierarchy. If you're doing active work per request, you're a freelancer.

    I super appreciate this video. Do you have a video where you talk about the legal/technical steps a freelancer should take if they are looking to pivot into entrepreneurship?

    Good explanation overall, but in regard Seth Godin, I consider him a mix between freelancer and entrepreneur. You say that if he does not work he does not get paid, which is not accurate. Once you write a book, you will make roylties for years to come. The same goes for his public speaking. Much like Tony Robbins, he sells his speeches on audio, which make him royalties as well.

      Much of what I said about a freelancer came from Seth Godin himself. He tends to think of an entrepreneur as someone who doesn't necessarily have to do work as an entrepreneur. Most of Seth Godins ventures all involve him physically having to do work of some kind.
      A simple way I like to think about it is:
      Freelancer = you hire yourself to do the work.
      Entrepreneur = you hire others to do the work for you.

    Just curious. What shutter speed, iso, and aperture are you using for this particular video. Also what lens are you using?

    • @NathanAllotey
      @NathanAllotey  7 років тому +1

      Camera: Canon 70D
      Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Standard & Medium Telephoto Lens
      ISO: 320 - 400
      Shutter speed: 50 (video frame rate 24fps)
      Aperture: 5.6
      Manual Mode
      I'll probably do a behind the scenes episode and explain how I have things set up. Also have a lighting kit with softboxes faced toward me on both sides. Since I'm well lit it is easy for set the camera.
